Cons: Comes with Vista.

Pros: Inexpensive, quick, little heat.
Comment:
I just picked up this laptop in last week's sale, for the wife to do some surfing, email, & light gaming on, during her down time on night shifts, and so far I've been pleasantly surprised with this machine.Although I would've preferred this to have 4GB of RAM, and come with Win7(64bit), it does have a Win7 upgrade option, and in spite of Vista, this machine is actually quite snappy, and loads Windows, and several other things I installed, and gets to the desktop quite quickly. One thing I can't really comment on, is the battery life, since we've only had this machine for about a week, and haven't really tried it for an extended period without being plugged in.Good things:- Cheap... got it for $450 in the sale.- Reasonably fast.- Decent size, i.e. about in the middle, both in size of screen, and overall weight, between a netbook and 17" or 19" laptops.- Wireless stays connected at a fair distance.- Easy to get at hard drive and RAM, in case you want to upgrade.- Doesn't seem to produce much heat, i.e. after being on for several hours while un-installing junk, and installing other programs, this machine was still just warm to the touch.Bad things:- Comes with too much useless HP junk, and trial software installed.- Comes with Vista installed(some may hate this), although, admittedly, it's not so bad, and has a Win7 upgrade option.

Cons: vista comes with loads of bloatware (hp compaq's fault)

Pros: Doesn't heat up as much as it's predecessorsFull keyboardGood processor for the price
Comment:
Got this when it was on sale for $449 and I am a happy camper. An average budget desktop can be bought for that price without the screen, speakers, keyboard and mouse.Only downside is the bloatware that took about 1-2hours to get rid of.So when in sale, it's a great deal.
