Cons: not the strongest cpu on the marketvideo card is lower-end NON-GDDR5Acer bloatwareHeavy/chunky for an ultrabook

Pros: screen qualitydedicated video card (see cons)decent build qualityquick boot timesram sizeMSATA upgradabilityGood Price vs. Specs ratio
Comment:
Always been skeptical r.e Acer products, however the price seems right so I gave it a chance.Made sure I installed all the latest drivers/bios.Kept it at W8, 8.1 has too many issues.Boot w/ cache drive is incredibly quick.Upgraded the msata cache drive to a 128gb sata 3 ssd, and made that my boot drive. Runs slightly snappier.Tested smooth (1920x1080) on FIFA 14(MAX), Titanfall (Max), Far Cry 3 (Medium) Runs ArcGIS and AutoCAD fairly smoothly as well.Cons which I shouldn't complain about:-Bilingual KB-It's still an Acer, so let's hope this one lasts

Cons: Difficult Linux install & lack of BIOS / UEFI configurability.

Pros: Fast, light, and quiet. Good for both doing work and moderate gaming.
Comment:
I've owned this laptop for about a month and so far have been extremely happy with it. After a few weeks of researching I narrowed my choices down between this one and a similarly priced ASUS that was a bit larger with higher specs, but ended up going with this one due to its lighter form factor, better battery life, and SSD caching drive.Further thoughts...Keyboard: The keys are pretty shallow, but I got used to it fairly quickly, and now I really like the way the keyboard feels. The only really awkward thing for me was the bilingual keyboard enter key, as it is placed slightly differently than the standard US layout, and I kept accidentally hitting backslash all the time. Finally, I just gave up and remapped the buttons. No problems since then.Battery: I haven't actually timed it, but I think I tend to get about 6-7 hours of battery life doing work (programming) & web browsing, 3-4 watching movies, and around an hour gaming.Gaming: I'm a fairly light gamer, but so far I've been very pleased with the performance. The bottom of the laptop does get hot to the point that it can start to get uncomfortable to have on your lap, but the graphics card handles everything I've tried playing great at native res.The only real downside for me thus far was the difficulty in getting Linux installed on this machine (and I used to write kernel drivers for a living). I don't think I've ever had so much trouble getting Linux to run on a laptop before. Since I need to be able to dual-boot for work, this is the main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. That and the severe lack of BIOS configuration options.

Cons: Didn't come updated to windows 8.1, had to do it manually.

Pros: Amazing display.Very good GPU/CPU/RAMGreat size!
Comment:
I did extensive research before getting this laptop and I simply could not find anything that would have the same size/specs/price.This laptop is a powerhouse trapped into a body of an ultrabook, it runs BF4 (singleplayer) on high/ultra at full 1080p goodness. Just make sure you update  your drivers and optimize using the Nvidia experience tools and you will be blowing through any game. The size of the screen allows you to downgrade the res down to 720p and still have it looking amazing, since the screen is 14inches.Overall, if you're looking for a powerful laptop and do not want to get a thick heavy beast, you're looking at the best option right now.

Cons: Side power button is awkward : i pressed it by mistake a few time so far.Windows 8 is a pain for power users!Capslock has no light to show it is on.

Pros: So many Pros for the price :Full HD great looking display (1920x1080)Discrete GPU for light gaming (750m)Long battery (more than 6 hours so far)Room for a mSATA SSD AND HDDRelatively lightNo CD/DVD : who needs it ? ;-)Touchsceen : not a plus for me thoughThis thing had great Dolby sound
Comment:
You just can't find a laptop with those spec and quality at a lower price! I crave for the FHD display : so crisp. Even though you have a boat load of bolt to remove, it is easy to change the mSATA and HDD.My only main gripe is/was Windows 8. Such a pain for power users. Had a hard time getting to bios. Booting from my Acronis USB drive. Finding administrative tools, etc. Classic Shell helped a lot. Now everything is fine.
