Worked 1st time. 750MB speeds. Went to the internet website, downloaded the driver, and accomplished. Employing in Win 7 x64 on eVGA Classified X3 M/B. Seems to be incredibly picky about M/B supported. Every little thing I have read has been about Alternative ROM space, that OCZ doesn't have direct ownership of the driver, and equivalent. Am locating that I simply had blind luck, in that it worked for my eVGA classified M/B. And I was still in a position to use the on board M/B RAID for 4 2TB drives. Am acquiring it is not supported for my SR-2 M/B which just seems to be a crying shame, but equally eVGA's fault as it is OCZ.

very quickly drive when it operates I have Asus Rampage III extreme motherboard and I had some memory size difficulties with the Silicon Image drivers. I had to disable the onboard 6G Sata drivers to make area for the SDD drivers. Finally I was capable to load the drivers and set up windows 7 with out any concern. Really rapidly!Immediately after several months operating flawlessly, the drive stopped functioning and I lost all my OS. Now the drive is defective due to the fact it is no longer accessible by windows. Referred to as tech assistance and they told me to file a ticket online so they can concern a RMA. it is more than a week now and the interaction is by way of a basic 1 liner emails with stupid questions. it seems like they don't even study the responses I give them since they ask the very same question and recommend the same useless suggestions more than and over once again. I am unable to bring my Computer back to life till I get this drive fixed. at this point, I am going to switch back to old fashioned difficult drive and under no circumstances obtain a different item from OCZ considering that their warranty is a scam! probably attempt yet another brand and may have much better luck Manufacturer Response:Hello, we aplogize for the difficulties. Clearly the quickest drive I've ever observed Ɨ.9 Windows Practical experience Rating). Applied as technique drive on new Asus Sabertooth 58 with an i7-950 (with no overclocking becoming applied). Terrific overall performance. Worked good apart from "the fatal flaw." At Shutdown, which is extremely quickly, Windows gives the "all clear" and power goes down, but it appears the IBIS drive is not prepared for power off and fails to cleanly close files/file table. On subsequent power up, Windows has file errors and Event Log says file system is corrupt, run chkdsk. This does not take place on a restart, where energy is never ever removed, but just on a full shutdown. Chkdsk does not save the day and crucial program files are lost. See thoughts below. I attempted two separate clean installs with the similar result. My guess is the HSDL interface/Silicon driver is not telling Windows to keep the power-on lengthy sufficient for HSDL to complete its communication. It almost certainly needs like a nano-second longer to cleanly close the files/file table (or else come equipped with a battery backup on the HSDL card). With a restart it in no way loses power; but with shutdown, bam the power goes off just a moment too quickly and the file technique gets corrupted. The interface/driver wants a way to flag Windows to wait a second on that power-off and/or HSDL card gets battery to cleanly complete that final job burst. If OCZ gets this situation fixed, this will be a superb drive for higher-end systems. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you are possessing shutdown difficulties. Possibly you have an choice to add a shutdown delay in your BIOS. If you have not already performed so, please go to our help forums at the link under and post in the Flash/SSD section so we can help you with a option. We care about our clients and want every little thing to be operating completely for you. Thank youExternal Hyperlink(s): OCZ Assistance Forums|

Ultra quickly. My OS is on it and I devote more time for the bios to initialize than to load windows 7 Silicon Image drivers take a lot of PCI ROM alternative space so if you have other issues loading up for the duration of BIOS, most most likely the OS will not be capable to load the drivers for it. You get an error message saying "not enough space in the choice rom". I have ASUS rampage III intense with intel raid and I had to disable some of my other drives in order to load the drivers for this card. It is an amazing solution and I just wished OCZ would place some stress on silicon graphic boys to reduce the alternative rom size.

Quite light and uncomplicated to hook up. read/write speeds are particularly rapidly. My windows rating is pegged for performance! 7.9 You can tell the distinction in speed and smoothness. Its a slightly distinct approach than HDD in loading as a principal OS (make confident you download the drivers before you start) Pleased =))

None so far Tiny to no detailed instructions in the kit. I would advise possessing a second computer available to download drivers/ read by way of tech types in case you run into troubles. Users with Intel D5400XS (aka: Skulltrail) motherboards may run into problems! I have had zero good results with the drive so far and I am acquiring prepared to return the item to OCZ. Make confident that you have applied the most recent bios updates prior to installing. I recommend reading through the OCZ assistance forms prior to purchasing their PCIe SSDs! There are no drivers integrated with the device, so be prepared to download drivers from their web site ahead of time. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you have had issues. Most issues are BIOS connected, and we very suggest a pay a visit to to our assistance forums. Really feel free to post your configuration and we can help evaluate your certain application. Who would care for mobo's speed interface on HDD if you can just plug it to the PCI-e?This just beats the entire point of corporations who add crazy stuff to their motherboards...and i say fantastic job for that! price is a factor to keep in thoughts...genuinely tends to make my wallet cry. Get it...effectively worth it...superior than any other SSD out there

It is rapidly, as in... "I necessary to do a reboot, but don't recall it rebooting" With some tweaking, I can do a complete reboot, such as typing a password over ten digits, waiting for a DHCP address, and am back on the network in 37 seconds. Files above 64KB write at 650MB/sec, bigger files benchmark at over 700MB/sec. I have it as the boot drive. Installation went smooth, but I did a weeks work of perform reading up and producing confident the gear I ordered was compatible, and a handful of days reading the OCZ forums hoping I was undertaking everything possible to get it right the very first time. Needed a motherboard beta BIOS for a MSI 890FXA-GD70 (version 185) motherboard that I had to get from OCZ - MSI support is not aware of this bios release. I'm not supposed to mention references to installation tactics not integrated with product documentation, but the truth is there isn't any genuine documentation included. No Linux support, but I knew that just before I bought it, and I didn't acquire it for a Linux system. The OCZ Vertex drives have Linux assistance. I wouldn't use this on a mission critical computer system, one particular of my coworkers is going to get the technique - lucky son of a blank. I bought it for a system that has a database on it that was suffering from extremely long disk write delays. Most men and women complain about the cost, but I would have gone with the more costly, not very as rapid, but hopefully more reliable Vertex II Pro. I've most likely blown my price range, not confident what I am going to do. I'm writing this as if I have had some difficulties, but I haven't, I'm just a bit paranoid about the beta MB bios in a scenario where I can't afford to have the method fail. What I would to hear is there is a pair of Sandforce based SSD's in a RAID 1 configuration.

This is my second, and stick to up, evaluation of this drivesoon after I utilized it for more than 6 weeks. Installing substantial databases Ζ-10GB] and making use of them three-fourof them simultaneously, fairly heavy loads every, and experiencing NO kind of delays among screen alterations and getting it in front of me immediately as I let go of the ENTER key, is phenomenal.OCZ 100GB Limited Edition SSDs in Raid , had been not even coming close to what I skilled with this IBIS 240GB.Yes, this is the most current "Cats Meow". None I'm an average pc builder, by no indicates High Tech Level, but often prepared to use a second or third Computer although making a NEW technology unit. Prepared to experiment with BIOS and Drives and Boards and settings. Scarfed up every thing on the OCZ Forum Web site about SSDs and HSDL drives there was to date. Anybody who is not ready to do the same, will be forced to settle for the newest technology at Finest Purchase for their ready built PCs loaded with good crapware.Loaded the OS 3-4 times, XP and 7 myself, till I liked the outcome in all respects. "Good points come to those who fight for it". It's worth the handful of sleepless nights.
