1. RapidlyŌ. Uncomplicated to set up because there is only a quite tiny HSDL card and 1 drive with 1 cable plus power.3. Driver worked perfectly for the duration of a fresh Windows 7 set up. I added the driver for the duration of the OS set up through an SD card thumb drive reader. This one SSD (I know it’s far more than one particular SSD inside of the IBIS) replaced my six 150GB VelociRaptors that were attached to an Areca 1230 RAID controller that were all configured in a RAID 5. This was installed in my method that has an Asus Rampage Extreme III. Due to the fact the six VelociRaptors have been extremely really rapid to begin with, I had higher expectations for the IBIS. I haven’t performed any benchmarks but you can discover all of those on the internet.I can just say I am extremely happy < <(understatement) with the functionality of this SSD. Windows 7 is at the log on screen in ten seconds! Ok so I did bench that. And that is not a striped down OS install either. I have the entire Adobe Master Collection CS4, Sony Vegas, Office Pro 2010 and tons additional stuff insta Other than value there are none that I have encountered however except for an activity LED.I don’t see a way to connect an activity LED. I use an onscreen utility for this but I believe there really should still be a connector on the HSDL card to connect a physical case LED. If I missed anything here please inform me. I’m not sure why some are getting concerns finding this drive installed and operating. It must be incompatibilities with their motherboards or probably a BIOS setting. I have installed numerous SCSI RAID controllers over my years and the IBIS installed just like the rest of them with no issues.I see buyers of this drive complaining about there becoming no driver in the retail box. Nicely, 1st of all I am certain OCZ does not include things like a driver because they want to make sure you obtain the Most recent driver from their web site to ensure the smoothest doable set up and Ideal functionality right after it’s installed. Secondly, I have Never ever utilised the factory driver CD with any RAID controller I have ever installed. I generally download the latest drive from the vendors’ web-site. I believe that’s a finest practice.
