Discount in a combo deal and achievable rebate.PC3 12800 (DDR3 1600Ơ GB It doesn't function also nicely at 1600 mhz. I presently have mine underclocked but with better timings and it's steady so I don't seriously mind. May well be my mobo messing with my RAM speeds but like I said I'm fine with the way it is now.

Was in a position to overclock to 1600 Mhz on my MSI Platinum MB at the default BCLK of 133. Only had to alter my memory multiplier to six. Left everything else on auto. Didnt have to mess with any voltage settings or something else for that matter. I'm new to constructing Pc's so I haven't gotten around to testing the stability and all that with prime 95 and so forth. DDR3 memory is way too high-priced. A couple of months ago u could nab 6GB of OCZ platinum at ๛ now I'm paying 贓 immediately after rebates for this... To me that just sucks Good selection for my initial make... No regrets... Can't wait to get another 6GB

Looks nice. Refused to work with my EVGA x58 SLI Motherboard. No matter how I configured this stuff, I got multiple, many errors in Memtast86.I only thought to verify it out immediately after Windows 7 crashed through set up multiple occasions.Read these critiques and verify the 'net... you'll see this is a frequent dilemma with this RAM. Get's excessively hot, also. I will under no circumstances buy OCZ once again, period. My rebate was approved and nonetheless hasn't been sent. The RAM is awful......I swapped it out for 12gbs of Corsair RAM and have no troubles. I must have went this route in the initially place. And please, OCZ representative, don't leave a repsonse here encouraging me to look at your forums or get in touch with for tech support. It has rebates. I utilized to think that OCZ memory was a great brand, but after this knowledge I will under no circumstances purchase this again. I utilized an Asus P6T motherboard with the Intel 920 believing it was going to be a rapidly method. I had blue screens, application crashes, method restarts, and frozen screens which im sure as you can inform it was ANNOYING! I swapped the memory believing that i purchased a bad set, but nope similar problem. Altering to Corsair 6GB as an alternative of OCZ which was like ุ a lot more tends to make this a more enjoyable system that i can in fact use. For some cause ASUS & OCZ are not compatible dont know why. Manufacturer Response:Hello,we are sorry that you had troubles. This memory need to have worked on your board. We would have been really happy to assist you with settings and a replacement kit that would operate for you.Thank youExternal Link(s): OCZ Support Forums|

Performs as advertised, good speeds, no problems right after I stopped becoming an idot. Reasonably priced! Good rebate. Needed to manually set the timings and voltage to get it to run with out BSOD. Can only use one particular rebate even though I bought two packs. I had the motherboard setting the RAM configurations on auto. undesirable notion. Make confident you are working with the same sticks. I bought two packs of these so 12 GB's in my technique now. I had a few difficulties such as the BSOD until I went into the program BIOS and set the 9-9-9-24 timings with a 1.654 voltage. After that I have had no issues at all, just smooth sailing.

Can't beat the price tag for 6GB ddr3 1600 ram.As usually Newegg is the finest for service and shipping. Will not run at 1600 correct out of the box, you have to set your bios to get the advertised speed. Already had 6GB of this ram installed in my system and just received 6GB additional and installed it with no challenges, even overclocked it to 1800 with no problems, been running at this speed for more than 24 hrs with out a hitch. My Develop:Intel i7 extreme 980x, 3.33 GHZ Ɩ core)Corsair H70 Hydro coolerASUS P6X58D Premium Motherboard12GB OCZ Obsidian DDR3 1600 MemoryEVGA GeForce GTX 465 1GB video card1000GB Western Digital Black SATA three 6.0Gb/s hard driveLG 22x DVD recorder dual layer driveLG Blu-ray reader, 16x DVD recorder driveThermaltake TRX 1000W ATX power provideCooler Master HAF-932 caseWindows 7 Household Premium 64 bit operating method

They have closed the case so I can't respond to the ticket and the RMA status shows they under no circumstances received the memory even although I have a confirmation number.- Approach took over a month to get RMA ticket.- Haven't received refund. - Terrible consumer assistance.- Badly educated technicians.- Does not answer inquiries with straight answer. Less expensive, apparently. Vaguely reliable. I bought 2 packs for 12 Gigs. Installed them all, BSOD. Took a lot of changing, but lastly isolated it to one corrupt stick. Sadly, the error was so erratic that even memtest only discovered it sometimes, so I spent a LOT of time switching and retesting memory. I might excuse it as terrible luck, but having read all these critiques, it genuinely appears like a fairly common problem. Perhaps it IS just terrible luck, but once again, out of 6 sticks 1 didn't work for me. Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are sorry that you have had difficulties. Please check out our help forums at link under. We can help you with settings and possibly keep away from an RMA since you look to be close to operating steady. If you are specific that settings will not resolve this, a replacement kit will take care of issues. If you have had your memory less than 30 days, Newegg will take care of you. - Great value- Runs at 1600, with 9-9-9-24-1T @ 1.65V - Even at slower speeds I couldn't get more quickly timings to work nicely. Best deal for DDR3 at the time of purchase, make sure you manually set the timings to specc, I initially had memory problems when I installed these, but that is because the motherboard tried to set the timings to 7-7-7-24, which this RAM can't manage.

It's inexpensive It doesn't function. I put this stuff in an ASRock X58 Extreme LGA 1366 and it would boot up as soon as, let me set the time try some ram settings and then never boot up once more (until I took the clock battery out). I replaced them both with an ASUS P6T and some Corsair TR3X6G1600C8 G. I suppose you could say that it was the motherboards fault or the rams fault, but I say it's marketings fault. If you say your motherboard runs ddr3 1600 and you say your ram is ddr 1600, then at the really least, you should be in a position to plug the 2 collectively and have it come on at some speed. I've had difficulty with ocz stuff booting ahead of and as soon as I put in some magic quantity, it runs stable for years, but I want a thing that runs stable at stock settings also.Even if I ever got the combo to operate, if my bios ever went back to default, I'd have to open my laptop or computer up and take the clock battery out to get it to boot after to the bios, so I could alter the 20 settings in there to make it run yet again. That's geeky cool! Manufacturer Response:Hello, we are quite sorry that you are having troubles. Please pay a visit to the link below and make a support ticket. Price tag isn't poor. Stable at 1333mhz CAS latency 7. On my technique most undoubtedly does not do 1600mhz at all. It will not even boot at these settings. I use an ASRock X58 motherboard. I attempted working with encouraged timings and voltage from OCZ, but could not get the memory to run above 1333mhz.My stick of Essential Ballistix DDR 1600 (the blinged out ones) could reach 1600 no issue... The other thing that sucked was the initial kit I received had a dud, and of course had to send the whole kit back. Buyer assistance was useful. It seems they no longer manufacture this certain make. Fast when information - application, music - is in memory. Access is virtually instant. Ought to admit it is quickly. Slow acquiring the information into memory. Must admit this is slow. Is this memory having slow timings? I do not realize why it is slow to load into memory. Tough disk is 1TB WD Black. When you need to have memory there is adequate for you. When loaded into memory it works effectively. Do I will need a Raptor? Just say yes so I can show her.

I noted this got a 7.8 in WEI - nah. Just tested it again - 7.9. Yes, you read it rigth. WEI should be adjusted. Had to set timings and speed manually but that has to do with my old evga mobo. At stock setting, it is just awesome and for ใ right after rebate - WOW. The only thing I changed was allow turbo enhance on the i7 950 in BIOS.I would get one particular more kit as soon as the rebate shows up once more and you really should, too. Forget those expensive other brands. This point works and the fastest!Next quit - overclock cpu.CPU stayed at WEI 7.five.

It's a very good value from a reliable company. It does not run what it's rated. I tried AUTO settings, I tried manual settings, I tried distinct voltages, it will NOT run what it's rated to run. Just to note: I've been developing systems for over 9 years and have been overclocking/benchmarking for over 5 years, so my technical know-how is relatively excellent. When you verify with CPU-Z, the RAM comes up as PC3-8500F 񡺪mhz). I don't know why it doesn't come up as 1600mhz or even 1333mhz, but even the SPD timing table only goes as far as 610mhz (meaning 1220mhz DDR). I wonder why the SPD timings aren't set to 1600mhz or even at least 1333mhz!!If this ran 1333mhz at say eight-8-8 timings, I would be satisfied, but it won't.I can't think how I inform my client he'll have a 1600mhz DDR3 setup when it won't even run at that speed. Either he's going to say "alright" (in a not so pleased tone) or I have to obtain something else. :(I've had this concern with OCZ ram lately. Even my individual AMD Phenom II system couldn't run some 2x2gb ocz gold 1600 kit @ 1600mhz. Why does OCZ do this? I may well have to pay a few bucks additional and go with other brands if this is the trend OCZ is going to Manufacturer Response:Hello, due to the issues that some motherboards and systems have with booting straight away at greater speeds, it has become common practice for enthusiast memory companies to program the SPD at a lower "safe" speed. This insures that all buyers can boot. Alterations can then be created in the BIOS, permitting the client to hit rated speeds. Although programming at 1600mhz can be completed, we would expertise a big rate of DOA kits that function perfectly.
