Cons: Firmware updatse require another computer

Pros: SpeedReliable
Comment:
I came from a OCZ Solid3, which was painfully unreliable until Firmware 2.22 was released. Now everything is as intended, and I am confident enough to put OCZ Sandforce based SSDs in all of my computers.I have the Solid 3 run flawlessly on 2.22 for a few months now. No more BSODs or sudden drive disappearance. The Vertex 3 is no different. So make sure you update  your drives, my Vertex 3 came running 2.15 (that was buggy for me).I think the Agility 3 is now at 2.22 from the box.The Vertex 3 is now paired to my AMD 970 chipset, the Solid 3 is in an old Centrino Laptop.

Cons: price per GB

Pros: system boots up faster
Comment:
System boots up faster, however, not quite sure that the cost per GB is really wotth the speed difference. Perhaps I have some incorrect settings. I'll do a bit more research.

Cons: none

Pros: Super cheap, faster than my 5400 rpm defaut laptop drive
Comment:
I got this drive to replace my 5400 rpm slow 3 years old laptop drive and I couldn't ask for more! I do not hear the drive anymore and Windows 7 boots in 13 seconds now, was 35 to 40 before that. My battery should last longer too!

Cons: Sata 2.0 instead of 3.0

Pros: Fast, shock resistant, low wattage consumption and low heat.
Comment:
I am using it as a USB flash drive. I bought it to replace my HDD which broke down while traveling. It is faster and more resistant than the HDD so it was perfect for me. Also, using it on USB 3.0 port, the transfer speed is just worthwhile.

Cons: not SATA 3 if it matters to you

Pros: Fast bootups and overall speed you would expect from an SSD
Comment:
I bought this for my Macbook 13" late '06 edition and it works well now. very fast boot up times (roughly 12 seconds). i'm quite happy considering the macbook is SATA 1. only gripe i had was that for the Macbook sata 1 there was an issue that needed the latest firmware so if your a macbook SATA 1 user make sure you download the firmware before installing any OS, it'll save you the hours that i spent trying to figure out why installing any OS was acting odd. other then that the price is amazing and the speed is great. very happy so far.

Looks like they are clearing out stock of SATA2 SSD. Better grap one now for my HTPC and the price is cheap for 80 bucks.

Cons: OCZ's reliability (mostly have been addressed through firmware upgrade).

Pros: Cheap upgrade path for SATA 2 systems.
Comment:
This is definitely the best upgrade I've ever done on a PC that was a couple of years old. It gave it new wings that should be able to keep it usable for a few more years until I buy a new rig again.

Cons: not as fast as vertex 3 (that's a given)

Pros: FastCheaper than the vertex 3big $30 rebate which came later
Comment:
This was a good price, but comparing it to the vertex 3 i bought, It has no visible difference to me, and I used this on a sata2 rig, so good for the price, but go for the vertex 3 if you have a sata3 setup.

Cons: Displays as 115gb (not an issue)

Pros: FastReliable
Comment:
I have bought 3 of these, one 60GB and two 120GB's. SSD's are fast regardless of the brand or interface however; it is important that when you chage your system over to a SSD, weather your do a clean install or simply clone from your magnetic HDD that it is reliable. Otherwise it's pointless to have the performance. This drive is reliable, I have had zero problems with this exact model. It's not as fast as the Sata 3 SSD's that are coming out but I trust this brand an model and would recommend it to anyone looking for this size of storage device as a main boot drive.

Cons: for the price none so far because my drive has been stable so far as oppose to a lot of other users complaining about the unreliability of the sandforce controller.

Pros: fastreliable - so farcheap!!!

I got this drive back in October-ish for my dell vostro v131 i5 laptop and it made a huge difference in boot up time.I update d the firmware on this drive before installing windows 7.Haven't had ANY problems with it so far.I also own intel 520 series SSD and am surprised at how this drive stacked up with it.All in all, great SSD for the price. Just remember to update  the firmware if it doesn't come update d already.

Cons: Unreliable

Pros: Fast & Affordable
Comment:
I was one of what seems like quite a few people who got a faulty drive. After 3 months of use as my main HD, it randomly stopped being recognized in bios. In my case, I unplugged the computer while I was away for a few days and when i came back it was dead. Google this issue before you buy, it's not uncommon. The RMA process was relatively fast, however, I had to pay for shipping the unit to OCZ. I've been trying to contact them about re-reimbursement but have had no success.

Got this for my 5 years old pc. Really make a difference. Fast boot and fast game loading. I was thinking about changing the pc but i will wait a couple of month. I played Mass Effect 3 and didn't have time to read the tips during loading beacause the disk was so fast :D

Comment:
I was a bit skeptical as people were mentioning corruption, but perhaps they fixed it in the batch I got... or I was just damn lucky. It's served me well so far, but 120gbs fills up way too fast. Definitely a great buy- and it comes with a warranty from OCZ.

Cons: Rebate with OCZ was a hassle.. when this was shipped to me, it was not in a box. just a bag...

Pros: Great deal, great performance
Comment:
I wasnt too happy when i saw this shipped in a standard small bubble wrap bag.. I then went online to OCZ about the rebate procedure.. it ended up being a hassle and they charge you to get your rebate to you within a few days, otherwise it takes like up to 2 1/2 months. But other than that the product itself works perfectly. At first I was having a few problems with it, but it seemed to get over those problems fairly quickly and it works great now.If you want a cheap upgrade, recommended. Significant difference in boot up speed compared to my hard drive :P

Pros: fast, quiet, no moving parts to fail,

got it to replace a hard drive that suffered a major failure after a small bump. firmware updated no problem. mine peaks at 200mb/s. if i get a mir for once then i think it will be a decent deal. feels faster than my 7200rpm seagate. 0.08ms response time. hopefully it will survive some small bumps and not make me lose more data.

This has been the best upgrade to my PC by far. A faster CPU, more RAM etc does not compare to the speed increase you get from one of these little devils.By far the best bang for the buck upgrade.Make sure you use it for the OS install and not just for your data files.Buying one of these can delay the requirement to purchase a new PC/laptop by speeding things up considerably. A new/fresh OS and one of these will make you smile.

Cons: Doesn't work. The drive I got failed just as I was finishing the install on the OS. The drive is only SATA2.The drive does not come with a 3.5 bracket for installation in your desktop PC.No real instructions (or media) to do firmware update. It's available online but if you are replacing a failed system drive and have only one PC, you'll have a tough time updating the drive.

Pros: Price. The drive is definitely a good deal, especially if you get it on sale and after rebates.
Comment:
Initial installation and configuration was fine and things seemed to be going well. After the OS install my PC went BSOD and on reboot, it complained about the OS being damaged and needing repair. I went through the repair process and rebooted. At that point my PC wouldn't even post... it got stuck when detecting the drive.I know this price point looks attractive and it's tempting to ignore the bad reviews and say, 'they must have had a bad drive' but I encourage you to spend a bit more money and get something more reliable. After returning this I ended up with a Crucial M4 and I couldn't be happier. Firmware update  was a snap and the drive has been flawless thus far.

I actually got the SATA3 version of this SSD. At first it was great. Booted OS real fast in comparison to my old hard drive.. Then things started happening.. BSOD's Weird errors in general..Last Checkdisk revealed a whopping amount of problems with it. I'm thinking this brand is cheap and don't recommend it to anyone.I've had mine 8 months and it's probably going back for a return. Not impressed.

Cons: Setup was not straight forward on my laptop

Pros: Least expensive 120gb ssd
Comment:
The price to performance ratio along with space on this SSD is great. ( got the 30 dollar rebate but be aware it is for a 30 dollar American express card not cash back)It was not easy to install this drive though. I had to change my bios to IDE mode for it to be detected in windows. Then you must go into disk management and activate the drive and format it.I had no luck using cloning software and aligning the drive. It would clone and would run but when checked in program "AS SSD" the drive was not aligned. It worked and was as fast as it should have been but I did not want early wear or decreased performance over time due to mis alignment.I decided to do a fresh windows install and it went without a hitch, drive was aligned properly, and now my windows is minty fresh!!My laptop was a ASUS G73JW with 16gb ram, intel 740QM, and nvidia 460gtx.My windows experiance for the drive was stuck at 5.9 with the seagate momentus xt 500 gig primary drive and is now up to 7.3Windows boots in around 20-30 seconds, comes out of sleep almost instantly, and is all around very snappy. Programs load in 1-2 secs vs some like open office writer used to take 8 secs.Happy with the drive and after prices come down on SSD's next year I'll likely replace this one with a SATA 3 one to saturate my SATA 2 port and get more space, say 256gb or maybe 320. Wonder where prices will be in 2013?

Comment:
I put this in my acer 1830t laptop and it really makes the lap top fly even compared to a 500gb 7200rpm drive in the laptop previously. Such drives should come with software to help you copy the operating system over. It took a while to find software that would copy from a large drive to a smaller one.
