Cons: Tall? Fine for my case thoughLoud at 100%, but what isn't?

Pros: QuietSmall enough form factor to not interfere with anything
Comment:
Nice heatsink, would consider again, if not for sheer socket versatility.

Cons: 4 pins connector, no 4pins to 3 pins converter.

Pros: Awesome fan, best bang for the bucks
Comment:
I am very surprised by the price/performance ratio of this heatsink. I am not a huge overclocker, but with this, over the stock AMD fan I've been able to give new live to my old socket939 cpu by pushing his dual core from 2.2 stock to 2.7. Keep the temp at a flat 40 under full load, and 28-29 at idle. Which is wayy better then the stock one. While it's not the BEST fan around, if you're looking for an awesome price/performance cpu heatsink, this is what you're looking for. And it's really quiet on top of that.Be warned, this thing is huge, really huge, and if you have a fan on your side panel, it's not guarante it's gonna fit.Overal, and awesome fan for the price. Only thing I can find wrong about this thing is the connector, it's 4 pins, not 3 pins. So if you have an *older* motherboard, well, just plug it to another to another fan connector.

Best bang for the buck very quiet i can barely hear it at max speed, keep my e5200e3,4ghz under 40oC while gaming, and around 44-45oC on Prime95

Cons: Push pin mounting

Pros: Quiet,Cheap
Comment:
This is a very good heat sink for the price. Knocked 5-7 points of my stock cooler temps.I do not like the push pins -would rather have a backing plate for such a large unit.

Pros: Quiet and Cools effectively when overclocking with Quality Thermal Compound
Comment:
Im impressed with this unit even though its big and bulky Using a high quality thermal compound overclocking a blackbox Amd 64x2 5000+ this cooler ran almost 5 degrees cooler then the stock AMD cpu cooler both having artic silver thermalcompound.

Cons: surely not the best for oc

Pros: CheapSilentCool well
Comment:
I give it five stars because it done extremely well what I ask it to do and it's to do a better job than the original intel heatsink, it cool much better and it's way more silent. I have bought 2 Vanquisher for 2 pc I have made for my brothers and I will buy it again for other build. It really cheap if you know where to look...

Cons: Can't easily replace the fan. I don't like the push through mounting system on socket 775. Bolt down or clip on I like a lot better.

Pros: Quiet, cheap.
Comment:
Keeps my system nice and cool. I have this over an Intel Q9400 Quad core processor. Idles around 20 degrees and about 30 degrees with a load.

Cons: Fan is WELFARE

Pros: Looks good, cheap
Comment:
Bought this and was wondering why it didn't seem to cool my CPU much. Stuck my hand in the case and low and behold, the fan was blowing air off the side of its blades instead of THROUGH the fan! So there was no airflow over the fins at all, I am definitely not recommending this to anyone, my bad for spending $11.00 on a heatsink though.

Cons: only pushpin design. but at that price it is ok.

Pros: Cheep and efficient Better then stock 775 heatsink.
Comment:
I bought this for a basic build for a custome it did the job perfectly. the only downside there was no thermal paste included in the kit but that was not a problem for me.

Cons: mounting direction

Pros: Good cooling, fairly quiet, pretty easy setup. decent pre-applied TIM... inexpensive
Comment:
Got it for a cheap 5000BE build.. mounting was fairly easy, but AM2 mounting made it so it could only blow up or down. Maybe im doing something wrong i dont know... but it blowing up now I wish I could face it out the back.

I just bought that cpu cooler for a amd 5000bex2 configuration.o/c to 3.2 easily with this cooler. + I applied some arctic cooling thermal paste to obtain optimal results. great cooler is similar to arctic freezer one. Recommend it.

Cons: VERY big

Pros: Well Built, Low fan noise
Comment:
Overall it is a great HS/F combo, my only concern with it was how big it is, on the side of my case( Apevia x-discovery Mid Tower) i have a 80mm fan, the top part of it and the fan are less than an inch away, meaning that this is quite big and should definitely look into how much room it takes up, had to adjust a lot but overall it works great, This review was modfied by poster @ 09-25-08 07:25 PM

Cons: Little harder to install but not a big deal.

Pros: Very good cooler especially for the price.I have an q6600 quad overclocked to 3.6 for 2 months solid now and running stable at idle of around 40 and full load around 55.
Comment:
This cooler is great for i would say any 775 processor except maybe the extreme edition quads. Overall i have not had any problems at all with it and my computer is never turned off. Runs 24/7 365 and it has not let me down.

Cons: not great for OC

Pros: Silent, easy to install
Comment:
Baught this to keep my Q6600 cool, and it does that, 20C ideal and 35C under load. Didn't perform as well when OC to 3.0 GHZ, nearly 40C ideal and 60C load. Really liked the fact that this cooler is almost perfectly silent. This is still a great buy for someone that wants a silent and decent cooler.

Cons: poor setup S939

Pros: easy setup (775), thermal paste included, quiet fan
Comment:
I bought this after countless reviews I've read on other heatsinks. It does a good job of cooling. However, it's application on a 939 board is a bit flawed by design. It does't allow the heatsink to be mounted in such a way that it exhuasts itself to the rear of the case due to the bracket and how it connects to the HS. I had to have this blow air onto my videocard 3870. For a budget cooler I can't complain as it does the job and my case is much quieter now

Cons: hard to clip on

Pros: great price/performance.
Comment:
This thing is CHEAP. I got if for my 3.4GHz Prescott single core because the stock fan does nothing when i over clock the CPU. I was running at around 55C idle and now I am down to 39 with this. Great design for the price. Compared to the intel fan clips, this thing was hard to clip on. Not enought room for my fingers and it took me about 6 trys and lots of swearing to get the final clip down. Much harder than the intel fan. Comes with grease already on the copper block FYI.

Cons: not as good as some others peiced in the same range.

Pros: Cheap, Heat Pipes, 92mm fan.
Comment:
I bought this for a home theatre pc im building with an AMD X2 4200+. Heat pipes are far superior to standard cooling. The fan is a touch on the loud side but is controlable through bios settings.

Pros: Keeps everything coldCheap
Comment:
It's a good cheap cooler, much better then stock. However on some boards it's extremely hard to install. It took two people to put it onto an XFX 680I LT motherboard, one applying tons of pressure the other locking and twisting.

Cons: lower thermal ceiling than larger 120mm cooler92mm fan is loud at higher loads

Pros: quiet at moderate loadsinexpensivebig improvement over stock coolers
Comment:
I got this cooler bundled with a BE 5000+ for free. As far as I can tell, it's basically a rebadged Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro cooler. It's quiet if you don't push it too far, it's cheap. If plan on doing so serious overclocking or are running a quad, a larger 120mm fan heatsink might be a better choice.

Cons: Fan is a bit too small.

Pros: Quiet, Light cooler.

It came in a bundle w/ an intel E2160. Allowed it to overclock quite nicely. Good cooler. If I had to spend $30 on a cooler though, I would've gone for an Arctic Cooling unit though.

Built a duo-core (AMD 5000+ BE) and got a Scythe Ninja Rev.B Plus ($39) on friend's advice. Built a Q6600 Quad-core, got an OCZ Vanquisher (You should get the point just about now!)My Duo-core idles at 34'C, the Quad at 36'C. Underload the duo at 46-49'C, the Quad at 49-55'C. And I'm putting the sucker at test running Photoshop and Crysis at the same time. You decide. For $10 I guess the scythe would idle/load a lil less ... however for a budget build WHO CARES!

Cons: Really bigProprietary fan AMD mount poorly designed.

Pros: Quiet Does a competent job of coolingIt was free(sort of)
Comment:
This cooler does a nice job of keeping my 5000+be chip nice and cool. It idles at 36C and I have yet to see it get above 43C under heavy load. The biggest issues I have are the size and mounting options for AMD. It's big and it was a tight fit and it hangs over one of the memory slots making it very difficult to install and remove modules. The second problem is the mounting. You can only turn it 180 degrees on the board, not 90, as a result I have the fan blowing into the PSU fan, instead of being able to direct flow to the rear exhaust fan. I think a better mounting solution could have easily been engineered, but the AMD system seems to be an afterthought. Considering it was a throw in, I can't complain to much.
