Cons: Loose connection in wire going into headphone after only 3 months.

Pros: Looks great, sounds great, doesn't feel cheap at all. It blocks out outside noise pretty well with audio playing.

I had bought this headset to replace my Razer Carcharias due to the headset developing a break in going into the headset after 3.5 years of abuse. Loved the Orion until I got the same problem after only 3 months. Haven't really got my monies worth yet so I will be attempting to fix the cable. This IS a good headset but I am not very pleased that the cable went after 3 months of use. (I doubt it is a very common fault, I and just unlucky) :(

Cons: None so far. Too early to tell. Short of this thing breaking, for the price, I don't see any cons. NOT on sale when I bought it - spent the full $80. :(

Pros: Amazing sound, great base, and comfortable (have NOT tested the mic yet).. Posting the review early b/c the sound is just amazing. Didn't want to forget to post a review later.

Went into the store b/c my headset broke and wanted a new one. Hadn't even researched this unit. Saw the Asus label - and as a leap of faith got the unit. Google didn't even show any proper reviews/ratings.Got home plugged in the unit and the sound is so crystal clear. Great bass as well. Listening to the Gladiator soundtrack - "Elysium", "Honor Him", "Now We Are Free"..One word.. Brilliant.

Cons: -Hit and miss when it comes to surround sound. Sometimes one ear is louder than the other for about 0.5 (or less) seconds during movies. It works fine in games but it is still virtual surround. Perhaps it is a bad setting with my sound card.-Would have preferred cloth to pleather on the earcups. -After long usage I notice sort of clammy ears when I take the headset off. Not to the point of sweating or discomfort though. Again, cloth earcups would have helped.

Pros: -Comfortable, don't notice they're on after a while (cant vouch for people with glasses, I don't wear them).-Very light.-Long cable and braided.-Mic is very good, with a fan blowing in my face people on Ventrilo do not hear the fan. The retracting mechanism is very nice too.-Ideal amount of passive noise cancellation for me.-Good sound all around for games movies and music. Bass is quite good.-Metal along the headband. Sturdy feel overall.-Inline controls have rounded edges. Too often I see rectangular ones that like to catch on things.-They look nice. I wouldn't wear them out or anything but at least they don't look like some of the abominations out there.

I didn't need the Pro version as I was going to use my sound card with built in amp anyway (Xonar DGX). You're also stuck with 3 or 4 settings with the USB sound card too with no EQ. I'm fairly sure this headset does not require an amp regardless.Works well with Dolby Headphone and in some instances, 7.1 enabled also. Movies sound great! As noted above in the cons there does seem to be some small unevenness in volume between left and right during movies that disappears as quickly as it is noticed. Usually it happens when dialogue is being spoken and there is no background music or effects going on. Either its a card setting or it is just the limitations of emulated surround sound. I'm going to chalk it up to the latter. This issue hasn't come up for me in gaming. While not perfect, the surround does very well in games.Aside from the leatherette earcups these are the most comfortable gaming cans in the sub 100$ range I have ever worn. They also feel the most sturdy. The Steelseries v2 Siberia cans are a small bit lighter but the difference is hard to notice by hand. They sure sound a heck of a lot better than the v2's though in movies music and in games. To me, the v2's come across as a bit tinny for my liking.Would have gave 5 stars if there was a cloth option. These aren't audiophile headphones but they are very good sounding. For the price point I think you'd be hard pressed to find better construction, sound and comfort.
