Cons: none so far

Pros: Works as intended
Easy to install. No bumps along the way. Quiet.

Review Date: 07/16/14
Cons: Non-modularNo fan monitoring headerPictures don't match actual unit (as others have noted)

Pros: QuietReliable
Not much to complain about this unit. It is pretty quiet overall and powers up a modest system with a older i7-860 and R260 card. It has proven to be very stable even during an extreme heat spell we have had lately (ambient temps - 35 degrees). There are cheaper units at this wattage rating but they won't have the reliability that this unit can provide. Also the current pictures does not match what is actually shipped as others have noted. There is another similar unit that is Gold rated versus the Bronze of this PSU, but is costs a bit more.

Cons: Not modular

Pros: Quality, decently quiet.
This is a Seasonic rebranded PS which means it is good quality. Not modular, and priced higher than comparable power supplies at this wattage, but definitely worth it for a system that's running 24/7 for a few years. Hate MIR's, but process was easy.

Review Date: 06/27/14
Cons: None

Pros: QuietGood power ratings
Got this PSU for an older build with:Intel Q6600Radeon HD4850Gigabyte P45-UD3RAData 128GB SSDIt runs almost silent whilst in idle or playing movies. Currently using this as an HTPC, so not much testing with load. However, the amperage ratings look good with 44A on the 12v rail. If this is to be trusted (which online research suggests), this is even slightly higher than the Corsair VX550 that I'm running on my gaming rig. Good quality overall for a $55 PSU.

Review Date: 06/23/14
Cons: Cable lengths are long...

Pros: Quality, Warranty
So far I'm loving this purchase. Read up on it being a Seasonic manufactured PSU and I registered it to get the full warranty. The rebate form is quick and easy to fill out online but you have to mail it to get the prepaid credit card as usual. It seems super quiet compared to some of my old units. A couple of little quirks, the unit you get is the TS550 which is fine as it's the same spec, Bronze rated. The warranty is non-transferable. To see the specs sticker you need to pull the PSU as it's on the top of the PSU and not the side.

Review Date: 05/27/14
Cons: none

Pros: Work as advertised, quiet
Broke my previous budget PSU and decided to get one better branded and built. Apparently this unit is built by Seasonic which has a good reputation for high quality PSU. Its quiet even under gaming load. Powers my O/C'd FX-6300 / M5A97 / R7 250 with much to spare. The cables are wrapped and long enough to be routed behind the case. Lots of connectors, too many for me, but others might need it.Great buy and recommended!!

Review Date: 05/04/14
Cons: Some people might struggle with cable management since it's full wired.

Pros: Very reliable yet at a very affordable price. This power supply is manufactured with the best quality by Seasonic.
This is a high quality power supply, no doubt about it. Reason why I gave it 2 stars is because I received the XFX TS 550W, it seems it is sold under the name of the XFX Core Edition. Both are quite the same, I did not returned it because it served it's porpuse quite right but BEWARE! you might not get the XFX Core Edition, but the XFX TS 550W.

Review Date: 04/17/14
Cons: sleeving not the best, received a TS550 instead of a Pro550W

Pros: Small clean design. Sufficient cable length all sleeved. Quiet fan
The power supply proved to be quiet at moderate to medium loads. At higher loads, the fan tends to get noisy. The product description is for an XFX Pro550W (#P1550SXXB9). The product that arrived is a TS550. Looking at the specs of the TS550 (#P1550GTS3X) it is gold certified. This one however has a bronze certified label on the PSU housing. The carton and the PSU housing is for TS series. The actual product specs and the SKU/UPC is for the Pro550. A couple of weird things with the cabling:(These issues do not affect the functionality of the PSU)1 X 6+2 pin plus 1 X 6-pin pcie connector for the video card(The six pin is labeled pcie but the 6+2 has no label).2 sets of EPS12V cable. One is a single 8-pin and the other is a split 4+4 pin.3 sets of cables with 3 sata power connectors each (for a total of 9 sata devices). The two cables are of equal length, the 3rd cable is about 6 inches shorter.Using OCCT 4 for an extended PSU test, the power supply worked without any issues even when stress tested continously for about 2 hours. This PSU will be powering a system that draws less than 50% of its rated 528W +12V output x max CPU and GPU so I'm not expecting any major longevity issues.

Review Date: 03/31/14
Cons: none

Pros: price, performance, connectivity
i have 2 650w versions of this and i like them so much i bought this at 45$ on special for an htpc, most connectors out of any other brand for this wattage and oem by seasonic.

Review Date: 01/15/14
Cons: cable management can be a messtwo molex leads, one is enough

Pros: stablereliablequiet
Bought this for a budget build. Good quality PSU that's stable, reliable, and also quiet. Downside with non-modular PSUs, it creates a mess of cables in the case. It comes with two 4-pin molex leads with 3 connectors each which is overkill. Not very many things require molex anymore.

Review Date: 01/02/14
Cons: Lots of wires

Pros: Decent, cheap and reliable
This PSU is great however the wires are very annoying.

Review Date: 12/28/13
Cons: not modular, but i knew that

Pros: Decent price-after rebate,Sleeved cables that look great,Plenty of connections,Quiet,Feels like good quality(made by seasonic i think?),80 Plus Bronze,5 year warranty
Also have the 650W one(2 Years and still running strong)and this one is smaller at 5.5 inches long vs 7in so it will work good in small cases.

Review Date: 10/05/13
Cons: Non-modular

Pros: 80+ Bronze, solid 550w capacity, very quiet
This is a good, reliable PSU for a fairly decent price. I haven't had any problems with this since purchasing.

Review Date: 09/22/13
Cons: not modularcould be cheaper

Pros: worksquietlots of cables
Good price power supply. Cables all sleeved. I think they can have few less cable. Such a big clutter to hide, but that's just my opinion.

Review Date: 09/16/13
Cons: It would be nice if it were modular.

Pros: Price, quality
Good quality and output for a budget gaming rig.

Review Date: 09/01/13
Cons: none

Pros: quiet, decent power
quiet power supply. does its job no problem so far

Review Date: 08/07/13
Cons: lots of extra cords

Pros: very quiet,
It is very quiet and fits nicely into my case. Obviously not modular so there is a lot of extra cords but this power supply has been amazing and will use it again!. Have not had any problems yet and hope not anytime soon in the future

Review Date: 08/04/13

Review Date: 07/26/13
Cons: - Single fan

Pros: - Price was good- For the most part sleeved- Quiet
Got this to replace an Antec TP2 550W that died. So far hasn't given me any troubles. The sleeves really help, but ideally it would've been nice to have completely sleeved cables or maybe even modular. For the price though this was the cheapest 550W I could find that wasn't from a suspect company. I wish there were 2 fans though, like my older PSU, but haven't had issues with it yet.

Review Date: 05/13/13
Cons: Non modular

Pros: Feels very SolidGreat priceLots of cablesRebranded seasonic5 year warranty
Very quiet and have yet to have an issue with any of these units. Cables are sleeved and there are a lot of connections.

Review Date: 04/08/13
Cons: none

Pros: Nice dark sleeving over cables,80 plus bronze certified.
I purchased this power supply as an upgraded to my aging antec 450 watt power supply. picked up on sale with a $5 instant rebate, and $10 mail in rebate.Comes with a very nice 5 year warranty as well. Also the OEM manufacturer of this unit is seasonic, so you know your getting a quality product.

Review Date: 03/21/13
Cons: Didn't come with a power cable. :(

Pros: Sleeved cablesLow noiseGood build quality. Everything feels solid and premium.
I have no complaints about the XFX 550 Pro. Everything feels solid, and the cables were very well protected. The wires felt a little stiff, but that's to be expected. The only fault was that it was missing the power cable. This is a serious problem because it makes a good product unusable. It's supposed to be included in the box, so someone must have been sleepy on the job. I had a spare cable, and PSU is working very well.

Review Date: 03/11/13
Cons: Cables seem just a tad short.

Pros: Good reliable company Lots of connectorsExcellent price pointQuietCbales well sleeved
Bought this to power a buddies budget rig, yet leave some room for futire expansion/improvement. Overall impressed with the unit except for one thing. This went into an HAF 912, which isn't an over large case, and yet the 8 pin just barely went behind the motherboard for plug in. In a larger case this would not have been possible. Minus 1 point for that. Otherwise excellent.

Review Date: 02/17/13
Cons: not modular

Pros: Quality
Very good power supply, but not modular. I knew it before I bought it, but they are a lot of useless cables. For the rest, this power supply is very quiet.

Review Date: 02/04/13
Cons: cables are short, too many cables

Pros: if fan is facing down -- quiet operation nice sleek design
overall this is a good power supply, i got it for 60 after an mir, but now its 50 after an mir. its a pretty good power supply and i think its worth the price that i paid for it. i love xfx and love how they always give out a game with most of their products. they make great power supply's that have great aesthetics.
