Cost+ASUS...can't be beat! The only drawback I assume is that it has quite tiny memory expansion, would be good if it had four slots. Also would be good if it had more USB ports. Good Solid board!

Good mirco-atx mobo. Fantastic amount of connections. It also came in a nice shiny blue box. Match my Antex Lan case fine. I am making use of it for a media Pc. Play movies and/or stream movies to my xbox 360. The key purpose why I purchased this one particular was for the HDMI on board. I believed this will be fantastic, no a lot more common def motion pictures, given that I have a 42 in LCD Flat screen. Set up of drives went excellent...that was until I installed the Intel Video drivers and sound drivers After I installed them, I had to restart the pc. Computer reboots i see the Asus splash screen, then the windows splash screen, then the windows logo comes up and the super cool scrolling bar at the bottom does it factor. When that is carried out the screen goes black. No video. The computer continues to boot. still no video. I unplug the HDMI cable and plug in a regular RGB monitor cable. nonetheless no video. I restart the computer, get into protected mode and i have video, making use of the HDMI cable. I eliminate the Intel drivers for video, restart the computer and WOW i have video operating at 800X600. I can increase to 1024X768 and the image flickers. Went to asus website DL drivers for the mobo, nevertheless the say point occurs. I went to intel's web page and nonetheless have the same issue. As of these days ƒ-8-11) i have yet to try a 64bit OS. which is my subsequent step. If that doesn't perform I am returning the Mobo, and finding a thing else. I have called Asus support twice ƒ) and each occasions I am told "we are busy can we have you telephone number and someone will get back with you" Properly Asus whoever this "someone" is really should be fired since i have not rec'd a single phone call at all. For a business that has such a great record, I am incredibly shock and disappointed that I am left to function on this on my personal. But like I stated i will attempt the 64bit OS. If not it will be returned.

Good motherboard, I by no means use anything other than ASUS. Didn't need to have to use the included drivers disk, Windows found them in about ten minutes. Both SATA cables that came with the Mobo had been undesirable. Not enough to price it a star, but retain it mind when you go also purchase. Fortunately I purchased two extra SATA cables when I ordered by Pc parts. All around a nice motherboard, definately advise to everyone.

It runs fine at default settings. I can only get a five% overclock on my E7200. I had this processor overclocked to 1333 FSB on another board. Which I replaced simply because I wanted to go with eight GB of memory. I could not load the operating program with 8GB installed. With one particular stick of 4GB, it installed. Memory is Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9, which I can only get to 1120 MHZ with this board. If you want to overclock or use memory more rapidly than 1033 forget this board.

It's ASUS, it's a CSM model with their advanced replacement policy. Features... HDMI, DDR3, but nevertheless using LGA775, this board can be utilised anywhere, a budget Computer, HTPC, organization workstation. It has the speed and power and onboard capabilities that will make it last really a extended time devoid of becoming outdated. I have utilized 2 of these and have a third on order, not a single issue installing Win 7 64 bit. This board would be ideal if it had four RAM slots, but it's not for me... 9 out of ten consumers will under no circumstances upgrade from 4GB, so not a huge deal. If it was for my use, I'd always go for 4 slots and only fill two, leaving two empty for expansion. The unfavorable reviews on this product sound like they had been written by insane ppl

i like the board... the cost... the easy setup... i like almost everything about it but the heat... the onboard graphics idles at a steady 187 f... have tried a variety of adjustments in the bios with no avail... am going to call the 'egg' for an rma i guess... either that or i may well appear around to see if i can locate a inexpensive graphics card... i'd be properly happy with this board if it weren't for graphics operating so hot... but i positive wouldn't trust it the way it is...

Cons: Overclocking didn't work so good for me. Maybe do to the hardware I have.

Pros: Low price, HDMI, PCIe 16x & 1x

I got this price matched, Low cost to bring a old PC back to new with DDR3 ram & cooler. I like that PCIe 16x & 1x & that HDMI output.

Cons: some of the clocking features do not line up - limitations are encountered when you try to tune in certain CPUs like the picky q8400

Pros: Very well designed board, solid mounts, stiff construction, decent separation of circuits and thermal measures
Comment:
Great board, good company, solid performance. Resigned to the 10% clock feature as when I attempted manually with my Q8400, could not get the specs selected due to limits on board - no cpu. Was a bit weird trying to bypass the video to use a real video card....language bizarre at best. How about ON BOARD VIDEO = OFF ASUS?

Cons: suitable for bare bones PCs only, not for overclocking quad cores, ddr3 at 1333 can't be used to full extent by 775 processors (ddr2 800+ is just as fast).

Pros: Plug and play, asus build quality, inexpensive
Comment:
Ok board for a basic PC, you get what you pay for.

None I tried to use this as a replacement for my old Intel motherboard in an Antec case. It wouldn't post, and soon after messing for awhile I noticed that the socket for the main power input was so loose that the plug kept rising out. I don't feel it ever seated correctly. I reinstalled my old motherboard and the energy plug fit into that snugly and the board posted once more right away. Could be a fine board if you can basically plug it into the energy supply, but I couldn't. This could be a challenge with just this 1 board. I haven't gotten in touch with Asus yet.

This is a great motherboard for the price. we had a S775 CPU, but DDR3 was cheaper. It cen even be overclocked and still stable, but we run it at stock speed.Good quality capacitor and great general board design. Should last as long as needed.

Cons: - Really small, only 2 pci, 1 pcie 1x, 1 pcie 16x- No SLI possibilities- No Firewire support- No USB 3.0- Only 2 memory slots- Only 4 Sata connectors- No TPM device warning at boot if you don't have a TPM device (can't be deactivated)

Pros: - Works great with Linux Mint 10 KDE 64bit - no drivers required- Easy to install and configure- Enough space around the CPU for a big heat sink.- Easy to overclock- Not as power hungry as my older mobos
Comment:
Very pleased by this baby board, works great, easy to overclock, well designed, missing some options, but what to expect, it's a baby board, not a full tower board. Great buy, at a low price.
