Cons: DoA; had to replace the first one.

Pros: High quality (ASUS), low price, sufficient connectors
Comment:
The first one I bought was DoA, so i got it replaced. The new one has worked very nicely. Has everything you need, for a great price.

Cons: Dear Linux user, the drivers for the on-board NIC need to be installed from sources in the install CD or on ASUS website. They are not included in the general drivers, therefore if you are quite a newbie planning to use Linux for the first time, make sure you buy some kind of D-Link cheap network adapter so that you have network capabilities at the first boot and be able to download the drivers, install the required components to compile the drivers, etc...

Pros: Great product, supports latest Core 2 and Core 2 Quad, integrated video is ideal for a budget computer.
Comment:
Good product. Make sure you understand there are 2 RAM DIMMs. I wasn't aware of that fact and was waiting for 4 DIMMs. Excellent produit. Sachez qu'il dispose de 2 DIMM de ram seulement, ce qui est un peu limitant. Je vous propose donc ce board pour les systèmes "économiques".

Cons: -Not For A Power User

Pros: -Good Budget MB-Asus
Comment:
I used this in a recent build for a friend. I usually use an Asus MB as I've always had good luck with them. This is one of their lower end motherboards, but still seems solid. The only negative part really is that it's not for a power user. But if you are one, you will be looking elsewhere anyway.

Good motherboard that is great for low budget systems. only 2 dimm slots so you can only use 4gb of ram unless you can find 4gb dimms.

Cons: - Mine died on me

Pros: - Good for the price
Comment:
The symptoms were very mixed at first- constant freezing up, locking up, BSOD, and eventually to complete no-boot. Itd make you think that it was the power supply, hard drive, etc. NCIX staff couldn't help, nor anyone on the forums. So I switched the board, and wolla, fixed.Dead board, tried to bring back but little brother threw out the box.. /fail

Cons: One SATA cable is pretty lame, SB heatsink barely does it`s job.

Pros: Cheap cost, decent overclocking ability, reliability.
Comment:
For a low cost build this motherboard works great, no problems with reliability so far but have had no problems with ASUS to date. Overclocking is pretty decent, obviously not going to be fully loaded but for a low cost board it gets the job done. The SB heatsink gets extremely hot, and because of that I would have thought they could have used a bigger one. It is a low cost board but they could have at least included 2 SATA cables.

Cons: Not as tweakable as the G33, G35 chips

Pros: Low cost with price match, Supports all of the Core processors including quads (45nm)
Comment:
Simple, easy layout for a laptop replacement. Reminded of one thing that laptops don't have over desktops is upgradeability. This quick system can easily go to quad when my wife decides she needs it, or a mid range gamer with only a couple of parts swaps. System has been runing stable at stock..E2160, 4GB DDR2, 8800GTS 320MB, CoolerMaster Elite 340

Cons: Very weak cooling on the south bridge chip. Lacks HDMI.

Pros: Low cost and good performance. Even has rudimentary O/C options.
Comment:
After putting together the computer, I ran stress tests (mem86, OCCT, etc) to make sure the computer was stable. It crashed after 30 min on OCCT /without/ any overclocking. After ruling out the CPU and RAM, I noticed the heat sink on the south bridge chipset was tiny and got extremely hot. I placed a fan on it and it passed all the tests over 24 hours. You don't need a fan, but a bigger heatsink should do.I expected a little more out of ASUS when it comes to thermal design.

Cons: Major hibernation issue.

Pros: Low cost, good chipset, and stable.
Comment:
I have used this motherboard 4 times for different customers and they have all had the same issue with hibernation. When a USB device is plugged into one of the rear USB ports on the motherboard the system will try and hibernate but as soon as it hits hibernation it wakes itself backup immediately. When you remove all USB devices from rear USB ports the system hibernates fine. ASUS said they will try and fix in there next BIOS update. Overall a good motherboard but because of this major issue with hibernation I am giving 1 star.

Cons: - cheap, so not full featured. only 4 SATA, no RAID, no firewire, only 2 DIMM slots, and lackluster power circuitry- limited overclocking, no VCORE adjustment.- Audio and LAN use uncommon manufacturers.. dont expect built in driver support for your OS. Doesnt even have

Pros: + cheap, and it works+ ASUS, so should be stable and sleep works+ has all the legacy ports
Comment:
E5200. Stable out of box with 1 DIMM (single ch). DOES have fan speed control, fsb adjustment, Vdimm, and Vmch, but no Vcore. Use BSEL mod to fix that. At default, E5200 OC to 3.1Ghz. With 1.325V BSEL, almost 3.6Ghz. Although haven't tried, wouldn't recommend for Quad CPU or dual GPU video card.. the power circuitry is minimal and gets rather hot as does the southbridge. >320 fsb is unstable.Great that this little beast also has both PCIE and PCI slots and the all important PATA for those legacy DVD burners. In conclusion, it works and serves intended purpose of powering low cost office PC or net PC>

Cons: -Only one SATA cable

Pros: -Cheap, good for budget build mATX pc.-Has all the outputs I need.
Comment:
Cheap board for a good decent build. The board was picky about which SATA connection the primary hd was connceted to, if it's not connected to first slot, it'll give you an error during POST. The error can be ignored/skipped and the board can still boot in to windows.

Cons: Only 2 slot of ram. Would be better with more USB slots.Light Overclocking capabilities.

Pros: Price, Good for mid gaming, Small factor good for a HTPC
Comment:
Really good price, can easily Overclock a E5200 to 3.15GHz but not further. Stable, reliable good for mid-gaming of like a file server as i did. Recommended if your looking something cheap. If you have more money go for something like a P45.

Pros: Very Cost effective. For basic needs email & webrowser cant be beat. ASUS support and utilities
Comment:
Up and running in no time, for my needs it works great. Advanced options if you need them and default options for the no brainer install. With video, sound and lan included you can start right away and add a better video card later if you want.

Comment:
Got it as a replacement for a dead board on an hp computer. There were less usb connections so had to leave some components on the front of the computer dead. Otherwise its a perfect low budget board for internet surfing, movie watching and no overclocking.

This is a good board all around for basic machines. It's not full of features, but that's okay, cause I likely wouldn't use them anyways. It's got the basics, like onboard lan and audio, and thrown together with an e6600 and an older pcie (x1950 pro) card, it's up and running and a guest machine with reasonable gaming power.Mild OC on the e6600 with ease and no issues whatsoever. If I needed another budget lga775 board, this would fit the bill. This M/B from Asus is excelent for upgrades or cheap cost effective systems. With a dual or quad core CPU and 2 gig of RAM it make for a fast and stable system. Put in a PCI-X video and it can Game. Ive built a few withb this board with no problems to speak of.

Used this with an E2200 Dual Core in a WHS build and paid less using price match. Throw in $15 Kingston memory, a$25 DVD drive and 2 - 1 TeraByte Green Caviar hard drives and you have a very solid unit that runs very quiet.Did need to steal a couple of SATA cables from somwhere to complete my build.

Cons: - No CPU VCORE adjustment!- SATA ports don't support AHCI, i.e. no NCQ or hot-swap- No ESATA or S/PDIF ports

Pros: + Good value+ Quiet operation - fanless+ Gigabit LAN on a mATX board
Comment:
Great little board to build a budget desktop machine. Onboard Gigabit LAN also allows for a cheap file server. BIOS has no VCORE adjustment options, limiting overclocking potentials. SATA ports do not support hot-swap (not possible to use ESATA bracket), but can be remedied by installing a PCI-E x1 ESATA card that does.

Got this for a fileserver. Running with an E2200, 1GB ram and a 1TB hard drive. Runs like a charm so far. No issues. Easy to use and install. Lacking some functionality but come on, it's a $70 board, if you expected anything more from this board your crazy. They pack alot onto it though.Great m-ATX board.
