Comp shipped the board fast, and packed great. It came up first try. Using DDR2 800MHz and a Q6600, with a pair of 9800GT's in SLI. Fast solid gaming rig. My board shipped with 1501 BIOS like others say, and it didnt have a need to be upagraded. Havent had a crash. Asus has always been a great brand.

I got this board to spruce up an older computer and now i have spruce goose. ASUS has not updated the Bios or utilities to windows7. When i ask when. All i got was if you must load Windows7 use xp or vista drivers. Lucky I had second drive to put Vista on, an all day ordeal, and of course the HP pinter doen't work, but, Sound Max does. Windows7 is just opposite. I like ASUS but they treating this like lost child.

This board is an EPIC FAIL! Crash after crash of evil frustration is waiting for you when you purchase this board. Board comes with bios 1501. If you can make it past the persistent crashing and download and burn an image of a bootable 1701 then the crashes will occur less frequently. I got my crashes down to about 1 every hour or so. I'm using acceptable RAM have an 80Plus power supply feeding 1100W of power. The N vidia cards are supposed to be compatible and the board is not over heating. I'm done with AS US boards, their support sucks and my experience with their boards has always been buggy but this one takes the cake.

Got one of these the other day, the MCP was running over 85F with the weather 60F in my house. Was unstable and would turn off when gaming. Their passive cooling system is junk. I would not recommended this to anyone.

Everything you would expect from Asus is on this board. Feature rich for the gamer in mind and all the extra cables and cords you may need to run everything. Installation was easy, only downfall is the side mount SATA plugs but if you have a larger case or plan ahead and hook your cables in early it's not a problem. I recommend this board over the Nvidia 780i sli board.

Countless forums with people having the same issues all with the same conclusion. This board is completely erratic and unreliable. I bought this board as an easy upgrade from the P5N-D Deluxe because I needed more sata ports and have the ports more accessible. I also was going to start overclocking my Q6600. This board did not save bios settings. It no-posted 90% of the time. The whole computer would hard freeze for no reason. I was able to successfully overclock by 20% through a strange glitching loop hole. Even though the P5N-T is the worst board I have ever worked with, the P5N-D was sooooooo reliable, I wont give up on asus yet. PS: Ran windows 7 great. Runs at stock settings great. May freeze your system once and a while.

ordered this up and it was Dead on Arrival... and becuase I was out of town when it arrived, and did not return until after the 30 day mark, I'm out the money... ASUS tech support number has been disconnected, and all the way around I'm pretty upset with this one.. had a dead north bridge.. pretty sad for what used to be the best mainboard company in the business..

Have been running this board for about a month with e8500 3.16ghz chip 1333mhz ram and 2x 260 sli video cards, 1 tb hd, plus a couple of others both internal and external, 2 dvd burners and a pci sb sound card. Everything installed easily including sli cards.. The only thing I read about that has been causing software problems and sli headaches with windows 7 is the nvidia mobo drivers.. I didn't install any of the drivers from Nvidia or Asus and let Windows run everything.. I get really good benchmarks, system is very stable sli turns on and off as it should depending on games. I would buy another one just hope this one lasts and I don't have to.

Dead on arrival. Never worked, never boot. Piece of junk. Read the review there's a lot of DOA with this product. Beware. I ordered a Biostar TP45 HP instead, those are similar motherboard except the Biostar is working...

this board i am glad to say was very good, to those out that who can update their bios i would suggest it. otherwise you will hinder yourself a bit, as for my only complaint, after 3 months of this board working extremely well it finally died on me. sad but true. otherwise i suggest this board to most ppl who want performance and a good price. sadly again keep in mind alot of ppl have this issue where the bios will randomly die. or have issues with overclocking. as for mine i ran a q9550 at 1585Mhz fsb and ram at 820 mhz, then mine died so yah. but otherwise good board. i will be rma this board to asus. mean time i will be using a p5nt with 750i shipset. oh and i am using bfg 260gtx maxcore cards inside a cooler master 922 haf completely modded to my liking. with a thermal take 760is cooling system.

I had no problems with this board. The bootup is a little slow, but after that it's fast. The only thing that I would have changed it the way the sata controler is on the board, the connectors face out instead of in,but no big deal. ordered from from these guys on a wendesday received the next day great service. I only use asus boards and have always had good luck with them. I'am running XP and Vista with a wolfdale dual core 2.93 chip, ati 4670, ultra case and a corsair 650w ps. and 3 gig of ram

I bought two of these mb for under 2 hundred this and a nvidia brand and supports sli this one does also. i still have my old msi install but will upgrade soon as my current mb doesn't support 45n arch nor anything above 1066 ghz. I bought a C2 Duo Quad 3.0 ghz process with 12 mb catch so hopefully either the Asus or Nvidia works.

I've never replaced a motherboard before, so this was new territory for me. After reading that one should expect to reload everything on the hard drive when replacing a MB, I purchased one from the same manufacturer which contained the ports and devices I had on the one that was destroyed because the AyPC surge protector failed to protect my computer during a power surge. AyPC, by the way, FAILED to deliver on their guarantee to repair or replace my computer. I'll never buy AyPC again. But this ASUS MB installed easily. Everything fit! My hard drive booted-up just fine! Only thing I did after boot up was to be expected - I put in the MB Install CD and loaded the drivers for the onboard video and sound. Now there are no errors during boot up. Only thing that doesn't work is the ability to replace the default POST screen with a picture of your own. Not a big deal, though. It can be best to leave well enough alone!
