Awesome board, build went easy, had to diag a bad stick of Ram along the way, but other then that running great. Have not over clocked yet, so unsure of that area.

Cons: ATX connector in weird spot

Pros: Low priceLots of features
Comment:
I thought this would be an excellent board for a low-end system I was building for a friend. It provided the basis to build up a decent system with a Core 2 Duo. The only thing wrong with it is the odd placement of the ATX connector - it is located at the rear of the board.

Cons: Only 1 IDE Connector (?)Result of the first point, on-board P-ATA drive manager adds to boot time

Pros: Decent priceTons of SATA portsSmaller ATX Form Factor
Comment:
I purchased this motherboard as part of an upgrade for my family's PC (they finally made the jump from single core to dual core)After some initial trouble with the lack of beep code documentation and replacing the RAM, everything is working fine with the motherboard. CPU installation was seamless. I would recommend this board if you have brand new RAM along with it during the install.

Perfect for me. Realy nice quality/price. For only 100$ you can have this good motherboard. They're nicely run my quadcore and my 8GO DDR2-1066.

Cons: might do good with some additional featues. ATX power in strange location

Pros: solid asus quality, good for budget build
Comment:
when coupled with my Core 2 Quad q6600 and 4 GB of Kingston Hyper X 1066, this board works great. overclocked very well on air cooling. Bios takes some getting used to. great deal for the price unless you need RAID or multi videocards.recomend to any who don't need raid or multiple videocards

Cons: Does not support RAID

Pros: StableOverclocks wellRuns cool
Comment:
One of the features stripped out of the "Light" version is RAID. Original documentation for this board indicated that it did support RAID, but it does not. Need to now buy P5Q Pro.

Cons: * This motherboard dead after two months of usage* the position of the ATX power connectors are far away from the PSU making it difficult to insert  any PCI cards in between.

Pros: * many functions and features* not expensive
Comment:
* I brought this MB two months ago and seldom use.* One day it just could not boot and no beep and no fan but only have LED light on board.

Cons: Bad layout on motherboard

Pros: Decent Cooling, Easy to overclock.
Comment:
This is an average board that is good value. There's not a lot of options but it has everything I wanted. The layout is not the best, I have a large heatsink and I need to attach the power cables with the motherboard out of the case.

Cons: bios a little wierd, getting to the pci-e clip is pretty hard

Pros: Overclocks decent, can change bios splash was cool, runs cool, great for what you pay for
Comment:
Decided to try ASUS after buying some great notebooks from them. Bios was a little wonky, but it worked, good safety features built in, overclocks well with what I wanted to do with it. Overall, very pleased with it for the price.

Cons: only one PCIE 16 slot

Pros: Good Basic Board
Comment:
Good board overall. It seems like it will be a good overclocker. It is really a no frills board but for the price it gets the job done nicely.I'm wishing I would have got a crossfire capable board now though as 4830's have dropped in price.

good overall board - not impressed by 24 pin power location. limits pretty cable management.keeps the e5200 overclocked at 3 ghz with no problem. bios is a little confusing compared to my evga 750i ftw but i got through it okwould buy again for another client build

Cons: -EPU only save you about 6 Watts-It does what it is supposed to do and not much more... I am happy with that... unlike someone not even able to buy a 30$ sound card because he can't stand the audio quality of the board...

Pros: -Awesome price-Way... way... way... more trustable than any Gigabyte board-Well made and accessible-Good effort on the EPU-Express Gates is an interesting concept-Extremely good product for any usual user-Durable product... for now...
Comment:
I have bought a Gigabyte board for my computer initially... and even with great reviews, my board died 3 times in a single year. So, it's quite easy to figure out that this board lasted me more than my 3 Gigabytes with the same hardware in the case. You don't want to overclock your PC, or you don't need to do it... buy this board with confidence.MSI and Asus are doing the most reliable motherboards, end of story.

Pros: its asusdoesn't break the bank too muchlooks goodgood series of boardits asus
Comment:
yeah, i sort of fried it and now some parts dont work but it is still usable. for my personal build, i have the P5Q pro but my dad's build is more budget-orientated and i liked my p5q so i went with the slightly less-dressed p5qL. i am very happy. everything i like about asus' boards and the same features i like with mine. for a quality-orientated budget build, this is the one to go with.

This is a simple motherboard that lets you carry out regular tasks with a low price. Hasn't caused any problems and is efficient. Not that great to support high overclocking.

Cons: Quality control, BIOS issues, not very solid

Pros: Good features, ASUS
Comment:
When I got this board, it arrived with a dead battery cell. The BIOS was extremely wonky and there were tons of stability issues. It's a very long story! I'm a bit disappointed with this board, considering it's an ASUS. To be honest though, I have not had much time to tweak it and fix it up, but at this point, I'm not very pleased.

Cons: Occasional blurp here and there, especially when overclocked.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good ports, ASUS quality
Comment:
Bought it as a part of a budget gaming system. Paired with a e8400 on air and a 9800GTX, it fairs quite well in new gen games, and overclocking it allows it to easily keep up the framerates. Early on there was a few BSOD's and freezes but after a BIOs update , driver update  and a few tinkerings here and there, it'd been stable.

Cons: No firewire, est

Pros: Has flexibility with slots
Comment:
Pretty good buy for its value but don't expect crazy overclocking or anything of that sort on this board. It also offers integration from older parts with some of its slots which was a bonus. Although the P5 series is starting to get out of date, if your not looking for top of the line this will help you with almost anything since it allows quad core, etc.

Cons: Integrated sound problems, no raid support, won't boot from IDE Optical disk drive.

Pros: Very good bargain!
Comment:
For my uses this board is perfect, the price is awesome and when you plunk an Intel Q6600 into it and 4 gb of dual channel ram it is superfast. I had one major issue on install, I couldn't boot my windows install disk from an IDE dvd writer so I purchased a really cheap sata dvd writer and everything worked great!! Installed windows xp pro 64 bit edition and installed the drivers from the disk that came with the MoBo and enjoyed my new rocket PC.One other issue, I can't get the onboard sound card to play sound in the browser. I am not going to waste too much time on it though as I have a sound card that I will install right away.Overall it was one of the smoothest MoBo installing experiences that I have ever had.

Cons: -Odd Placement of the P1 Power Connector-Not sure how Express Gate works

Pros: -Seems Stable-Great Price-x3 PCI Slots
Comment:
I bought this board for a build for my brother and I was very satisfied with how it went together. It was at a very good price. The P1 connector for power was placed in an odd position, but that can be excused. The added benefit of three PCI slots is a plus. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how Express Gate works so I just disabled it.

Cons: Onboard Sound Card (If you use it) Can be confusing to set up.

Pros: Powerful, Easy to configure, Good Price
Comment:
All In All this is a good product but the sound is rather frustrating. Not that it breaks or anything, but for me (Im pretty "tech savvy") Out of the box it took hours of frustration trying to configure a Mic Headset and work it in-game.
