Extremely effortless to install. Every thing just falls in the proper spot.Just suitable function set. Nothing at all's missing, and absolutely nothing's unneeded. Control Center II functionality is good for overclocking. Low profile heatsinks don't interfere with Noctua D14. Control Center software program has stability issuesBIOS update guidelines only describe how to flush the BIOS working with a floppy disk. Guess what: even if I had a floppy drive, this board does not assistance them. When arrived from Newegg, it looked like an open box.

-Very good Variety of different connectors and ports-Quickly charging usb feature is fascinating-USB 3. Header (though the actual plate was for a pci slot when I thought it would be in the type of a 3.5in front panel, disappointing)-Had the precise layout of PCI slots I wanted -The back plate was a bit strange installing, but this was my very first make so possibly they are all like that. This might also be partly from my case. -I look now and it isn't listed an it's out of stock. That is a little discouraging.i5 2500kMSI GD-55MSI 560 Ti4x4GB 1600MHz Ripjaws X800W Cooler Master Silent ProCooler Master HAF 932

I have this board with a 2600k and 4gb Ripjaw 9-9-9-24 ram. Runs great, no bsods or crashing of any type. I'm working with an old x1900xtx gpu and old raptor 80gb tough drive and they run flawless.I was able to OC to four.2Ghz using the onboard OC Genie, the temp hit 90c under load and i shut it down so as not to harm something. Otherwise it idles at 35-37c below regular load unclocked. I scraped off the stock thermal paste and place on a pea sized blob of arctic silver, initially idled at 59c, but soon after a handful of days temp dropped to 35-37c.I use this Pc for mainly audio and video encoding and it smokes the competitors! Even with the old hardware, I boot into windows in 30 seconds and programs open almost quickly, and this is with some old hardware!I can render a five minute 1080p video in about 5 minutes!! I in fact made the mistake of rendering to my USB two. drive, and when it stated 7 minutes i couldn't figure out why, but then, a moment of clarity, the usb 2. bus restricted me!! The only con for me is the onboard energy LED's are super bright and even though you can turn it off in the software that's included, the profile will not save the settings, therefore I have to turn it off everytime. A bit annoying, but it's a computer software problem I believe MSI will repair in the future. search my name on youtube or the motherboard name to see close up views of this board in 1080p!

The capacity of this board is remarkable thinking of its only 赅 when I purchased it. I got my 2600k to 4.5 ghz stable with the highest temperature being 77°C in the course of prime 96 test. There are a few cons that weren't truly worth lowing it an egg for. The ram slots are close to the cpu so if you have an soon after market place cooler it might not fit. The sata ports are appropriate subsequent to your main pci express slot you just have to plug them in very first prior to you're graphics but adding sata devices could be annoying. The OC genie didn't function well for me it just brought on many blue screens but doing it manually did supply much better outcomes. The cpu voltage goes way greater than what its set to in bios. I chose 1.355V and even though operating prime 96 cpuz showed 1.4V. Some web sites say don't go over 1.35V due to heat issuses with the 35nm engineering but 77°C is perfectly fine for a strain test. Final you will need to configure you're ram manually. Be sides those minor points awsome more than all. i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz msi p67A-GD5516GB G.Skill Ripsaws X DDR3 1600 eight-eight-8-24Thermaltake Frio XFX ATI Radeon HD 68702xG.Skill Phoenix II 60GB RAID OCZ Stealth Mod Xtreme 700W PSU

None that I can see... After setting process up and starting Windows 7 install I got a BSOD. I'd power the method down and it would power itself back up. after clearing CMOS swapping RAM modules around, pulling CMOS battery disconnecting all elements the board goes into the energy on/off loop. For the cost, this appears to be a decent board loaded with features. Nonetheless, it seems like a low opportunity of finding a stable board from MSI as this board suffers from the very same power on/off loop as the other P67 boards. Straightforward to install and even less difficult to configure/OC with MSI's user friendly UEFI.The B3 board also functions a substantially improved on board audio system compared to the original. This is my 3rd construct with out a discrete sound card, and it simply presents the richest surround sound top quality. None so far. MSI could stand to update their BIOS flashing directions. The present .doc file integrated in their bundles is seems like it's from 2000-2003.

This Board is extremely effectively constructed. It's sturdy, stable and straightforward to install. The OC Genie is a nice addition as properly for hassle free of charge overclocking. The UEFI Bios is cool. It stared appropriate away with no problems. THX audio is excellent too. Rapid charger feature performs effectively with any phone. Windows would not let me install the OS on 4x RAID of 4TB, it would only do a 2X RAID 2T Windows OS install, Perhaps I messed up, oh well. I believed the UEFI Bios would let for OS installs more than two TB. All my situation fans are blue so the Motherboard LED's match excellent general. This board may well not get you the greatest overclocks, but it will final a very extended time with it's military class construction. Great Job MSI.

Installed parts put ram in two and 4 slots.Pressed power button and installed win 7.Very good stable board B3 rev. Operates exceptional with Coolermaster HAf 22. All CPU cores at 27 to 28 centigrade at idle with stock intel cooler for I2500k and Arctic Silver five. And that's good. G-Ability Ripjaw1600 mem operates well. But memory slots are substantially to close to the CPU. Could not get Cooler Master Hyper 212+ to work without touching ram even on the Š slot. Ripjaw ram is on the other hand tall.I do not want to cover my ram slots even if i could uncover smaller ram.I'll maintain it for an additional create.I would be at a approx. 50% loss to return the cooler to Newegg. I like this board. It has some inconsistantcies as all boards do.This UEFI in my opinion is no far better than a standard bios. The mouse pointer is in the UEFI is inconsistant.could result in issues.Use the keyboard till'MSI get's a genuine fix.I'm truly disappointed that I bought and paid added for a board and cpu for overclocking and ended up not really possessing these capabilities with the stock cooler. It's a hassle to try and uncover a cooler that will operate at this stage of the game. But with my XFX 6870 black edition GPU all my games are at there highest settings even at 1980.

Wow amazing board, paired with a 2600k, it opens everything and the cpu doesnt break a sweat. MSI lies, when you put two PCI-X cards in SLI, the link drops to 8xǞx. You dont get 16xቬx as stated by newegg. When either slot is populated its 16xǖx or 0xቬx. Its okay simply because its just an awesome board regardless. The prices vary on alot of the elements if your building a new Computer. Look offline at local stores also, I identified some parts actually low cost locally.

Paired with 2600K @ 4400mhz on stock air cooling, rock solid. Nice new BIOS interface. A lot of 3-pin headers for case fans which was genuinely valuable. None so far, if you find the software package OC utility unstable, try the BIOS, worked great for me.

Fairly great board. Paired with a 2600k. No issues with XMP/memory profile + 16GB of Gskill Ripjaw / 1600 / F3-12800CL9S-4GBRL Benchmarked w/Passmark anything on par or slightly superior than average. Memory performance was actual excellent.Accessories that came with the board were decent.I liked that it had a fair amount of three pin fan headers on the board. Layout is "OK"Initial icon/animation driven 'clickbios' is fugly. Ugh. Immediately after a fresh Win7/Pro set up - then comes drivers overkill. Bangs all more than device manager - & sometimes unclear which driver does what (such as Intel IME driver/s appears to repair banged PCI controller) (which is not the chipset drivers)Make sure to download all the drivers from MSI due to the fact the NIC won't be operating. Of course you could use the (possibly outdated) dvd also..At an early point right after win7 install i had an "unknown device" in device manager - even just right after installing all the drivers, i uninstalled it, re-booted & it went away...Only a single USB 2. header on the board. Wish i would've realized that before utilizing a situation that has 4 ports up front (& thus demands 2 headers mainly because it has two cords)USB three. (bracket) cord length pita/crampy to set up if on bottom pci slot of situation (i'd believe this is where most ppl would put it) Cont. Manual i received covers five distinct models. There's some mis-matching right here & thereThere was a fair quantity of 'little stuff' along the way that just produced factors a lot more tough compared to a current AMD quad core develop i did.Tiny bit shocked to see this OUT OF STOCK+DEACTIVATED. Make confident to enable AHCI (in bios) just before installing Win7 if making use of SSD. (no probs with 120GB intel ssd)This is the most modern build i've completed in a although. At household i'm an AMD fan. At operate why not intel. Overall i would most likely take into account making use of this board once again.

General fantastic motherboard, paired with a 2600k.Bios is great, has mouse supportWonderful overclocking skillsOCGenie is good if you don't want to figure out how to overclock on your own. Push a button and you're accomplished!Passed all checks in bios, pre-windows, and windows environments.Recognized all 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM on XMP profiles and runs like a champ. This is my 3rd motherboard! The initial motherboard was DOA (which Newegg was extremely responsive and quick with the RMA), the second board was fine except for the sandy bridge recall issue (props again to Newegg for the Advanced RMA), the third motherboard operates great. Third motherboard came with a USB3. PCI-slot connector, the other two did not, quite weird.BIOS descriptions of functions are useless. For example, it will say Command Rate as a RAM overclocking function to adjust and say "Command Rate" in the description, which tells me Absolutely nothing about what that does.Energy/LED/speaker pin connectors are in a bad location if you have two big gfx cards (eg GTX460).The USB3. drivers do NOT function as far as I can tell. I've installed the drivers through windows update, manually installing the drivers, installing the drivers in secure mode, installing distinct drivers that came with my USB3. hardware, none of them appear to perform. Currently using the USB2. till I uncover a resolution. With the exception of getting to adjust out the motherboard 2 occasions, this has been a pleasant expertise. The overclocking is easy if you know what's what. The motherboard supported all of my current hardware as properly as up and coming hardware (SATA III/USB 3.), which is great to have some future proofing. Didn't have significantly issue with any installs.

I have to say why am I commenting on this board if it's been deactivated? I have to say the setup was a snap even though I haven't done a create in 8 years I was a tiny nervous going into it but, it all came back once I got into it and man I did. You genuinely can't respect a personal computer until you fly on one particular of these. It runs fast and smooth. If they ever make this board once more, get a single! Bios is kind of cartoonish and I had a little dilemma following the build attempting to get Windows 7 to load but, was most likely my fault. You will want to install a cpu cooler and when you do it's practically impossible to fill memory bank one particular but, it can be carried out and I have performed it. Newegg delivered it on time and as usual they are the finest.

Very first of all this is my initially "From-Scratch" make in 10 years...and nicely worth the wait! AMD 2600 is nonetheless running powerful. No difficulties or troubles with installation. Everything I essential was such as (but knew that prior to ordering this board). Didn't like the "grinding' sound when locking down the CPU, checked 6-7 times to make positive pins weren't becoming bent, but apparently its the sliding tabs that press down the CPU (metal on metal). The Corsair H5O (original version) worked perfectly making use of the LGA 1156 configuration. So much room left around this block, I'm confident it assists with cooling of SFC chokes and Dram sticks. The 1600 memory had to be setup in BIOS (Overclocking Menu) but knew this ahead of time.Again no challenges..nada..zilch.Haven't tried to Overclock however, nonetheless bug-eyed at the smooth operation of my technique. Actually surprised at the ease it all went together!!!! Amazing! No CONS on the board. Only my first NEWEGG CONS in 12 years. 1. Ordered Board Tuesday Night - received Monday Night (yes it was coast to coast) 3 day? two. WHY IS Still BOARD DEACTIVATED??? I would like to upgrade this board (to the GD65) if potential but its running so nicely I'd hate to tempt fate.Adequate venting. Had one scare, immediately after assembling everything and powering on for the very first time, I had NO power anywhere..not even LEDs. Press the Power button on the board! four SATA cables! Nice BLACK faceplate. Bios takes some receiving use to.Last note; I was going AMD x6 up to the last second when I was double checking what options I had for SLI. Very good board, I haven't ran any of the utilities on the disk that came with the board so i can't speak of those. Came with Ɣ) 6GB/s SATA III cables, which was nice (they're white?, are all SATA III cables this color?) Didn't recognize my 7-7-7-21 ram, had to set in bios to Allow XRM and then LINK due to the fact as soon as it did it was getting ran at 9-9-9-24. Would not boot at initially with a stick of ram in slots 1 & 3, see much more beneath. If, on initially boot after create, you have continuous reboots, place ONLY One STICK of ram in SLOT 1 (closest to cpu) then boot; if this helps, shutdown then add second stick to slot 3.Intel Core i7-2600KIntel 510 Series 120GB SATA IIIG.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3 1333 7-7-7-21SAPPHIRE 100290SR Radeon HD 5870 2GBMSI P67A-GD55SeaSonic X650 Gold 650WCORSAIR CWCH50-1LG GGC-H20LSAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 2TB RAID1 x2Antec Three Hundred Illusion BlackXion XON-DRBY525MBNoctua NF-P12-1300 120mm X4MOTOROLA SBG6580

Got this with i7 2600k. Love the click bios interface and the utilities are actually useful. CPUID HWMonitor tells me the temperatures are 36, 40 and 33c while idle which seems pretty good to me. Got all the expansion slots I need, cheap compared to ASUS boards with seam features. Only complaint is it only has 1 usb header (one that allows 15 ohms instead of 5) which means my card reader doesn't work when I turn supercharge on, and I also can not use my front case USB ports!

Got this with an i5 2500k. POSTed on first boot. Recognized all my hardware. So easy to work with. I was going to buy an Asus mobo but their sli/crossfire ready boards were around 200, their most affordable sli ready board was a mATX.Comparing this to Asus, i found that this has more features for the price. I am happy with this motherboard so far.
