Good selections if motherboard worked. Just got the run-a-around from Asus legendary and awful customer service division. Known as and emailed the information given beneath and my concerns have been not resolved.http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx or 812-282-2787 and refer to case number 1076204. Asus just offers you this info; "http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx or 812-282-2787 and refer to case quantity 1076204"to make it appear like they care about consumer service. Believe me, they don't. Asus does NOT honor it's personal warranty. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client,We apologize for the issues you are obtaining acquiring assistance for this motherboard. If you have concerns about the motherboard, we have a dedicated site for requesting technical help which is http://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx. Thrilled with anything about it, specifically what I wanted, except for 1 thing. The appropriate side of the mobo is cramped. If you want Dual Channel with two dimms, the manual says to put it in the two light-blue colored slots. This provides plenty of space for the CPU cooler, which is good, but it puts the dimms suitable up against the 24 pin and molex power sources. I had to cut off part of the energy provide connectors just to match, and even nevertheless, there is a little pressure on the dimm, which makes me slightly uncomfortable. General, phenomenal board, but if your dimms have heat spreaders, be ready to make some modifications to your power connectors. Also don't reduce your self when producing these modifications like I did. The energy provide I got was item# N82E16817151087.

I got this board with 5770 in 3-way xfire, with a 260 gt for physx. No hiccups on set up. Board operates best and no issues with overclocking. None yet. Why can't all the board makers use the exact same terminalogy(spelling) for their bios. :-p

Almost everything. Three internal USB headers, utilized for front case ports, rear riser ports, and internal card reader. Two internal USB ports -pondering of moving the keyboard/mouse transceiver to right here to free up an external USB port.Six SATA-two ports, plus two far more SATA-three ports. It's been a although given that I purchased an Asus board and forgot how completely they contain accessories and cables. It was like Christmas early. No eSATA ports. Angled SATA ports are awkward for me, I would rather have them face me so I can see them. On the other hand, if you're running enormous video cards, obtaining them angled most likely makes much more room.No front firewire header. Putting this together for a video/graphics workstation and a firewire port would be handy to have.Costly, but packed with so quite a few capabilities this isn't actually a con. If you're searching for a foundation for a potent machine, be confident the specs meet your demands, read the other reviews, then obtain this issue.

Looks like it would have alot of intriguing functions if it worked. Got to encounter Asus legendary POOR custumer service first-hand. This board could not boot to windows 7. Ive tried: 1. reinstalling windows 7 two. I've downloaded the newest Bios 鵳) three. I've set the bios to default 4. Changed-out memory modules five. Run a spyware and antivirus plan. 6. Downloaded new chip-set BiosNothing at all has worked on this 跌.00+ lemone-mailed Asus and was offered a automated message to try the fixes I attempted a week earlier. I'm currently on hold from Asus and can get no additional response. They to not have a toll absolutely free 800 quantity Asus's lengedary awful consumer service is true. I want to RMA this less than two-month old motherboard but I preserve getting the run-around. I will be joining a single of the numerous fraud associated class-action law suits filed against Asus in the close to future. ASUS P7F7 motherboard is supposed to be one particular of the better boards, but can't get BIOS to deliver the handshake in between the processor and SSD drive. ASUS P7F7-E motherboard has a BIOS challenge in that it does not provide communications with the processor and strong state drive (SSD). SSD is the only drive in the box. ASUS has ignored inquiries on this situation. Reported by Velocity Micro (Richmond VA) twoቧ񳏋. I hope ASUS responds as I would like to know how to resolve. Why ASUS ignores companies in USA is just not ideal. Customers wish good interactive communications with suppliers. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for the problem that you are experiencing with this workstation motherboard. A month ago i received an i7 860 as a gift and considering that a key component was out of the way, i had to acquire the greatest motherboard for it out there so i picked this a single. The motherboard just arrived so i can't post any technical pros or cons however my biggest promoting points had been the sata 6g, USB 3., extra PCIE lanes through NF200 chip, 10 channel audio, XEON and ECC memory assistance etc..Essentially i had my eyes on the P7P55 WS supercomputer but i felt anything was missing so i started doing some investigation on p7p55-e ws, then i found some news about the launch of this motherboard and to inform you the truth i was a small shocked by the name which is logical BTW considering that it's not a p55 board.Anyway now comes the interesting element and i'll hold you posted when i have every little thing assembled . absolutely nothing but the all round rating is based on the looks only for now ;)

excellent board I guess --Having the balls to say "Experience the Fastest Transmission Speed" right on the house page of this board is a tiny misleading. It only supports 16g of RAM and its the first Mobo that I have seen that has 6 DIMMS and NOT support 24gb. I purchased this board SOLELY for the truth that it has 6 DIMMS, mainly because Im developing a Hyper-V server (server 2008) and I just want a lot of RAM for the a number of OS's I plan on placing on it, but I guess I cant do that... --I had to jump by way of hoops just to get it to post (different PCIe slots, a million different RAM configurations, unplugging my USB mouse/keyboard). Ive flashed to the newest BIOS and triple checked voltages on my RAM. Posts just fine with 16gb, but not 24gb. --I comprehend it was my fault for not checking the max RAM but a 赨+ board with 6 DIMMS... who would?--It has an LCD readout (TPM?) that provides you a digital code that tells you whats incorrect on a post, related to a beep code but less difficult to realize. Its not made by ASUS and nowhere could I uncover the post code list to come across out what was wrong. I had to google it for a although to uncover it, and most of my codes were not even in the list leaving me with nothing. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for the matters you were experiencing with the initial set up of the motherboard. The diagnostic POST card is produced by the ASUS workstation team and the description of the POST codes can be identified in the user manual, Chapter 2: Hardware Data -> Internal Connectors -> Putting in G.P. Diagnosis card.Sincerely,ASUS Support Team

1394b, usb three., 6Gb sATA RAM Compatibility - RAM was compatible, but only one particular stick per channel - I'm calling B$! really should be listed in the list not buried in the users manual... Installation was a breeze, would have offered the board five stars had it not been for the memory snafu.

Graphics perform(PhotoShop CS4 & 3D Studio Max). It has performed far better than my expectations and then some! To appreciate this MB do the research on the chips applied all over this MB. It truly is a function of art and worth the investment! The BIOS; wow! It will test your setup and reboot itself a bunch of occasions; basically testing, breaking and clearing the CMOS returning three settings that work and you can store/save! Big O.C.'ing time saver! Some uber geek team went to town on this MB at ASUS and I really feel lucky locating it!My Box:ASUS P7F7-E WS SuperComputer LGA 1156 Intel 3450 w/ NVIDIA NF200Intel Core i7-875K Lynnfield 2.93GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core2 x G.Skill ECO Series 4GB ƒ x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2. x16OCZ Z Series Gold OCZZ850M 850W ATX12V two.3/ EPS12V 2.91 SLI CertifiedOCZ Agility 2 OCZSSD3-2AGT90G three.five" 90GB SATA II MLC-SSDCORSAIR CWCH50-1 High Performance CPU Cooler Asus tech assistance dodges a lot more questions than Neo does bullets on the Matrix! Be aware that only two RAM MFG in ASUS QVL "Officially" support this motherboard (Crucial & Kingston); and only in 1333MHz. Even so the RAM I bought F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO was in each ASUS QVL and OM worked flawlessly O.C.'ed at1643MHz @ 1.56v in turbo mode. Supercomputer? It has all the makings of one; even with the modest setup I went with. For instance; an Intel Xeon X3470 or X3480 with 16gigs of RAM and three nVidia SLI video cards or an nVidia Quatro of sorts would fit the bill nicely! Sorry.....dreaming of future purchases given that this MB is so versatile...NewEgg ROCKS!!! =)~

This is the only 1156 socket motherboard I've discovered with 3 spaces among the two pci-x16 slots. Good breathing room for running Crossfire and SLi configurations.6 RAM slots is tough to discover on 1156 series motherboards and this 1 has it. Fantastic for expanding and adding memory.6 side mount SATA 3gb/sec ports and 2 SATA 6gb/sec on the board itself. Excellent quantity of hookups for SATA devices.Onboard audio sounds really great compared to what came with my last motherboard.Didn't have to run a BIOS update. Every little thing worked proper out of the box. Driver CD contains some neat utilities but I probably won't use them. The capability to save many overclocking configurations in the BIOS is a neat and welcome feature. The onboard USB ports are various. I can believe of a couple of excellent uses for it. Hidden internal USB drive storage. Possibly a dedicated USB boot drive for Windows XP or something. I'm generally finding some reason to go back to XP now and then. I had to manually assign memory timings, voltage, and speed. Motherboard had my DDR3-2000mhz memory operating at 1200mhz upon first bootup. This appears to be rather common among newer memory configurations. Especially the ones that are meant to be Overclocked to greater rates. Once it's set it runs rock solid. The SATA 6gb/sec was covered and rendered useless when I applied dual 5970's in CrossfireX with big aftermarket coolers. Why weren't these also side mounted? Issue solved now that I got rid of those cards. Technique build beneathIntel Core i5 750 @ four.0ghz w/ Corsair H50 Watercooler4GB DDR3-2000 G. Full 16x + 16x Crossfire / SLI support through NF200SATA 6gb/sUSB 3.Intel 3450 chipsetPLX Bridge is a a lot cleaner method of bridging controllers NO long Crossfire cable is included!!!! This will set you back ผ-ฤ on the auction websites alone. You Ought to have the LONGER Crossfire cable in order to use the 16x + 16x PCI-e slots.2nd Crossfire card will completely block the the SATA 6gb controller on the motherboard. Poor placement.Only 16GB memory supported - not a large deal for most but why the 6 memory slots? This is the only 1156 socket motherboard I found with all the most recent features such as USB three., Sata 6gb/s controller, NF200, etc. The PLX Bridge is just an added bonus! Genuinely disappointed in the fact they only included a long sli cable and no crossfire cable. Also the truth that you will have to run 1 card if you wish to use the SATA 6gb/s slots. By the time I upgrade to sata three I will most likely be running a single, quicker card solution anyhow. If you're operating crossfire make positive you order the Long crossfire bridge cable Prior to you by the board!Other then that I really adore this board so far. Efficiency has been absolutely outstanding and responsive. There are so numerous additional characteristics with this board that I will not even use them all such as the DVI/VGA port.

Not this motherboard's challenge but it is not readily available.....why?Please get a few in.Me and the guy below me would obtain 1. I have been seeking over the specs of this board long prior to I got 1 for a friend for Christmas(actually bought it in Nov).New Egg has been out for some time so I bought from somewhere else(I know I am shamed for doing so)because I could not wait any longer. The very best thing that I enjoyed about this board was how simple it was to set up and install all the components.None of the components had been in the way of one one more.Even far more remarkable was how properly the temperatures on the Graphics cards had been on 3 Reference Asus GTX 470's.It also did aid that the case was a Silverstone RV02.I could see how if we had bought three multi fan graphics cards how even far better the temps would have been but that is neither here nor there.I guess I could get the Zalman GTX 470 coolers..but for now,we are fine with what we have, and are a lot more than happy because of the flexibility of attributes from this motherboard.

Excellent m/board I'm a personal computer tech. I deal with lots of personal computer organizations. Asus has by far THE WORST customer service of any organization I've ever dealt with! I'm in the procedure of trying to get a component replaced with the company. Asus refuses to do a cross-ship. If you use the Livesupport on the net don't anticipate a lot. Each time I've utilised it it takes forever to total a case. I'm guessing you get multi-tasked with quite a few other clients who are all waiting for answers for a tech. I've told several Asus tech folks that I require the part ASAP. Asus has a actual "can don't" attitude. Absolutely nothing can be performed to speed the procedure up. I was told by 1 tech individual I may have to wait 7-10 company days prior to my replacement part will ship. ASUS has great m/boards. But if you want service obtain from a different company.
