Worked with essentially no issues. The OC'ing utilities this comes with are awesome. It tends to make OCing your elements seriously simple. If you want a 1156 mobo and program on OC'ing, this motherboard is a great buy. not a huge con, but it down-clocked my memory from ddr3 1600 to ddr3 1333 by default. It was like one setting I had to adjust in the bios to get it to clock my memory to 1600. It wasn't a big deal.

* Effortless installation* Wonderful characteristics* Somewhat simple BIOS* POSTed on initially attempt* Wonderful utilities * High pitched buzzing. I don't know regardless of whether or not to place this as a con, so for now it will go right here. I got the high pitched buzzing as properly, after a week. I was sad to have to pull it out of my rig and RMA it. However, newegg is out of stock so it seems like I'll be altering from this board for great. Common challenge although.

These board appears killer. Dont know. Any individual have any troubles running dual video cards? Does it run smoothly using SLI? Does it run smoothly utilizing Xfire?Everyone by this board, and switch from one gpu maker to another and notice something noteworthy? I'm Seriously interested in this board, but would like some insight in terms of it's dual Xfire/SLI compatibility. Thanks :)

Worked out of the box. Quiet, no fans. Recognized my memory right away. No difficulties whatsoever installing Windows 7 64 bits. Sideways IDE connector. Oh well. Not that huge of a deal seriously. Got the P7P55D-E-Pro for my new build. Worked with no problems the first time. Also got Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9, plugged it in, loaded the defaults and it worked.

I've put collectively two 1156 systems (i5 750 & i5 760). Can SLI or X-fire if necessary. Has USB 3. and SATA III. Good overclocking help by way of bios. It's a full featured board. On-board sound is very good. Only 1 NIC, come on for the price it ought to have 2. I personally favor ASUS, despite the fact that Gigabyte and MSI also make excellent 1156 mobos. I'm going to do ASUS P67 for Sandy Bridge in January. Utilised each Kingston and Gskill DDR3, 1600 RAM. Asus boards can be picky with memory, but these two worked fine.

Nicely labeled. Effortless to set up. Connectors are uncomplicated to get to, with no creating a snarl of cables and wiring.A lot of SATA and USBFantastic integrated soundIdeal spacing for dual Radeon 6850s in Crossfire Memory slots are kinda close to the CPU socket, making it a close fit for my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler, but it match, so no worries.Only one IDE socket (legacy support?), but I'm all SATA, so didn't bother me. I'm Extremely pleased with this board. Overclocking utilities in the bios and the integrated Windows computer software are easy to use and perform nicely. You can't go wrong with this board.

Excellent motherboard. Assembled every thing in Ӯ hours, booted up, DIMM LED lights up. Remove both sticks, plop 1 stick into the other socket, boot...Light switches from the CPU...to the ram...back to the CPU...back to the ram...then...beep! Music to my ears. Place the other stick into the corresponding socket and booted with out a hitch. It was practically nothing but up from there. This factor is wonderful. Solid orientation, great building, and permits me to do definitely anything I will need to do.I've often been a Gigabyte board buyer, but I think I've changed my approaches...This board delivers. -SATA ports getting sideways is a little weird, but I only use two thus far anyway (both of which are vertical).-Not really a con as I haven't seriously tested, but I am *positive* I had the RAM seated appropriately on the 1st go. I did it outdoors of the case and was fairly forceful. Not certain if it's a undesirable DIMM socket or what.-That's actually it...Nothing at all undesirable to say about this board! I didn't get the incessant whine that many individuals seem to be obtaining. I assume it was a terrible batch of boards, given that it doesn't look to have occurred lately. No clue why persons are complaining about the posting time. It's an further three-4 seconds. Hardly worth acquiring fussy over.

Connectors galore.Supports USB 3. and SATA six Gb/sA number of unique overclocking strategies obtainable.Properly-deemed design...these people know motherboards. 1. Overclock at your personal risk. I attempted the "Auto-tuning" strategy in the BIOS and bricked my method. I reset my BIOS and reinstalled Win 7 effectively and have not tried a different system but.two. The Marvell (SATA six Gb/s) drivers are quirky. Windows would hang on accessing my WD Caviar Black 1 TB drive until I updated the drivers from the ASUS internet site. If you use a SATA III drive, I STRONGLY recommend finding the newer drivers. My 3rd ASUS mobo. It will probably not be my final.Note: LGA 1156 is a "dead" platform, in that Intel will replace it for their new chips. Of course, it has a lot of life left in it...an 875K will last long adequate for me.Elements:Core i7 875K at present @ stock.2x4GB GB G.Ability Ripjaws DDR3-1333120 GB G.Ability Phoenix Pro SSD1 TB WD Caviar Black SATA six Gb/sEVGA GTX 470Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit

- Effectively developed- Excellent Characteristics- Smooth Over-clocking- 3 year warranty- SATA III / USB three. None however actually, everything posted completely on very first boot with the exception of the Express Gate which doesn't seriously count negatively towards the actual motherboard. I was hoping to verify out the Express Gate but I may possibly just have to tinker with it to get it operating. Otherwise this board is excellent. Extremely solid design and style and looks excellent too!

-This board is one of really few appropriate now that delivers USB3 and SATA3 with no compromising PCI-e efficiency where it counts.-The bios is nicely laid out, and the board overclocks nicely.-The NB heatsink, even though it looks a little strange, performs extremely properly in my case (HAF X).-The audio good quality from the onboard sound is perfectly fine, no distortion or static that I can detect, even during incredibly low/high volume.-The board feels rather sturdy (I didn't truly anxiety test) and I at least feel confident in it's potential to handle a large heatsink and/or graphics card.-The PCI/PCIe slot layout is very good, with a single card, you only lose the slowest x1 on the board, and with two you give up a PCI slot, which is specifically what I would probably have asked for.-The manual was Excellent. It had every single detail I wanted and in good detail with great language. That was a actually pleasant surprise. -I'm confident that either the bios or the bundled probing application is wrong. From a cold start off, the bios reported about 29C CPU temp, and right after gaming, the Windows tool reports only 30-32C CPU. I am making use of air cooling (megahalems and Arctic Silver five), but these numbers don't make sense to me.-Some of the devices (most importantly the LAN adapter) didn't function out of the box in Win7. I didn't test exactly which, but not obtaining ethernet supported by default made it annoying to get the rest of the drivers updated.-I don't like the heatsinks more than the voltage regulators, they are made of two pieces of metal and don't seem to be one hundred% firmly attached, which would make me question their effectiveness (although the temp computer software insists they are operating fine, for what that's worth)-I personally don't like the way ASUS redesigned the memory slots on these boards, I come across it a small a lot more challenging to seat memory on this board than others. -I haven't given the auto-OC tools a shot however, but the interface appears nice sufficient-The difference in between "enthusiast" and normal 1156 boards in terms of functionality is really very slight atm. This board will carry out essentially just as nicely in gaming, improvement, benchmarks, etc. as the additional costly "gaming"/"enthusiast" boards but comes with true USB3/SATA3 which most of the others don't.-This board has three diverse SATA2/SATA3 controllers (iirc) and for w/e reason has SATA ports scattered all across the board. Diverse ports are on various controllers, which have unique RAID controllers and so on. I'm not sure why ASUS did this, but there are so a lot of ports, you actually shouldn't have a dilemma acquiring issues set up the way you like.

Does as it is promised, not substantially far more to say other than what the description gives is what you get. I got a Corsair Hydro H50 cooler to use with this board, and unless I got a board with some messed up punch down from the factory, the darn point doesn't line up. I have been developing Pc's for some several years now, and I know its not a thing incorrect I'm doing, I even installed the cooler for two buddies whom I recommended it to, as properly as did a custom fitting bracket to set up this on a single of my old P4 machines. I can't believe it didn't match. I had to modify and make a custom bracket for this, just to use it. I have study other persons on the feedback using it with this board, so once once again, maybe ASUS changed the design a bit or I got a negative board. I will know tomorrow when I fire it up, I hope it functions. The frustration this triggered in having me lose three days to make a custom fitting bracket simply because the holes are not correctly aligned made me rate this item low, otherwise I would have given it a lot more eggs.

I have been looking at a lot of boards for my subsequent personal computer build, and I wanted to play with a hugely upgradable program. As a result I went to this board, know I've been throwing around the p55-pro, p55-e, and the p55-deluxe. This was an apparent selection as it wasn't that a lot much more for some features that would clog up my PCI slots.I've ordered this board and am nevertheless waiting for my rush delivery. But I have been reading the reviews with rather some interest, as I see that most of the troubles can be fix. Please let me explain;(to)JohnnyCakes: You USB issue is a effectively known difficulty with XP, XP has been getting this difficulty because it's deployment from testing. I'm not positive why you have selected to go with XP but for whatever you reason possibly, this is not a hardware challenge. A simple Google search would tell you this, and also present applications/downloads/options on how to fix it. (to)NightC: redplanet is right, the processor (especially ones with integrated video cards or with "ghost mem" are directly tie to the ram, even though if a CPU resenting does not fix it then you could double check your ram speed. as for GSKILL, I've personally not had really fantastic experience with the corporation. As they have a tendency to hid a rams native speed and promote the clocking speed (anything above 1333 is OC) so they advertised 1600 when it's really a 1033. I would make a tiny suggestion to those who complain about slow boot times, even when you use the 6Gb/s SATA.Use a USB drive, if you can afford a 3. 1, the greater. What you do; Set up windows on your USB drive (I personally use a 32GB, but what ever tickles your boat). As a USB drive does not have a disk, it does not need time to 'speed up'/'warm up' Thus you turn on the computer system and (almost) instantaneously your in windows.

And I'm acquiring a BSOD that says memory management. Is this a mobo or ram issue? If somebody sees this give me a hand, I've attempted manually entering RAM timings and updating drivers but nothing.
