Cons: Intel chipsets

Pros: Don't know, still in shipping package.
Comment:
Wait before ordering this motherboard... Intel has identified a defect in some of its chipsets and is implementing a fix for it.The problem lies in the Serial-ATA ports of some of its Cougar Points, the Intel 6 Series of support chips, where the ports “may degrade over time”, resulting in lower performance of SATA connected devices. This chipset is employed with Intel's latest Sandy Bridge processors, marking the first major setback for the Second Generation Intel Core processors. The updated chipset, which contains a silicon fix for the design error, will ship in February and the replacements should be completed by April.RMA request on the way, waiting for NCIX to reply.Read more: http://www.techeye.net/chips/intel-finds-bug-in-sandy-bridge-chipset#ixzz1Ce9gmW69

Great motherboard for the new intel core CPU. The price of the motherboard is a little bit pricey but well worth the money.

Cons: Unstable with initial UEFILots of little problems

Pros: Overclocks GreatLots of ports and slotsLots of flexibility
Comment:
This board will hardly post with the initial UEFI but once it's updated is pretty nice. I got my i7 2600k to 5.1ghz stable on air with this board. That being said, overclocks past 4.7ghz start having lots of tradeoffs with this board because you have to start disabling features and turning on all kinds of nasty extreme features. Don't expect windows to wake from sleep past 4.7ghz.Oh, and don't go anywhere near the AI Suite, it's garbage.

Cons: None so far

Pros: Awesome blue and black color scheme.Lots of USB ports, included I believe a USB 3.0 bracket as well for a total of 4 USB ports. 3 PCI-E ports...!!!!Supports the awesome sandy bridge cpu'sSATA3 support.BIOS that you can use your mouse in.
Comment:
Awesome mother board, coupled with AI Suite II and you can add a lot of functionality. Recommended for people who want a good overclocking board with USB 3.0, SATA3, multiple PCI-E ports.

Cons: Wish the heat sinks are not blue...

Pros: It's an ASUS = Peace of mindNew BiosExcellent Price/Performance
Comment:
This is "THE BOARD" to get for most 2500k/2600k build. Overclocking with the new graphic interface BIOs is so easy now. Even if you have no clue how to overclock there is an EZ mode in the Bios to overclock for you automatically. Software bundle included with this board is very nice compared to the others have to offer, which is a nice touch. This board has bluetooth build in also which is a nice bonus also. So far I have my 2600k clocked at a modest 4.5ghz d stock voltage and 1866mhz on my 8gb of RAM no problem. I am sure hardcore people will have no problem clocking CPU over 5ghz on this board with a nice cooler.

Cons: The manual is extensive; it would take days to read and understand all the information in it. I have, however, spotted two errors in it so far.One that the information about the Clear RTC jumper doesn't appear on the page listed next to the motherboard diagram. Maybe it's somewhere else; I didn't look for it.The other is that it should say that the LEDs that light up if there's a problem with Boot Device, CPU, DRAM, and/or VGA Card are red - cause there are green LEDs too. For a while, when this new system was freezing at the Install Windows (7) screen I thought the green lights were the warning lights - having not seen any red ones during the many reboots. To successfully install Windows 7 I had to manually set the memory speed to 1033 MHz; at 1366 the install always froze. The memory, which might be bad, is the Mushkin Enhanced Silverline Stiletto 8GB 2X4GB PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit - offered at a cut rate price when buying the i5 2500K/P8P67 Pro Bundle.AI Suite, so far, won't install in Windows 7 64 bit; setup doesn't even run. Anyone had and solved this problem?

Pros: Looks to be well built and is attractive. Photos don't properly convey the beauty of the blue heat-sinks. They're actually metallic blue - kind of like Subaru's metallic blue. The non-text based BIOS screen is a nice touch too. It's about time we weren't reminded of DOS. EZ Mode makes it easy to lightly overclock the CPU; Advanced, well, I'll have to read up on using its settings.
Comment:
I gave the board a 3 star rating for now. I've just too little experience with it to rate it otherwise. If it turns out that it was the memory that created the Windows 7 install problem that'll vindicate the board on that issue. If I get AI Suite to install that'll merit another star I suppose. Maybe a BIOS update  will fix the problem.JB

Cons: Marvel controller

Pros: Asus reliability, great price
Comment:
Using this with the Intel 2600K. Great motherboard for the price point...includes firewire too. Easy to overclock CPU. Use the Intel controller not the Marvell one as it performs poorly.

Cons: a bit tricky to overclock at first, bios updating was a must

Pros: Great board, nice features, super easy to SLI
Comment:
There's not much to say about this mobo, besides that it is rock solid, like every asus mobo I've owned. Only 'flaw' I found was that the overclocking can get tricky if you don'T know what to enable or disable. For example, you have to let Turbo mode enabled to allow the cpu ratio to go higher when on windows. Also, the cpu will downclock when not under load (even if you want it to stay at the exact speed all the time)) if you don't enable speedstep, which is weird. Still a great mobo but a good bios release is a must.

Cons: Had some issues with shut down (see my summary)

Pros: BIOS interfaceNumerous SATA spotsExcellent OC featuresBluetooth
Comment:
Just received this board today and it's amazing! Quite possibly the best motherboard I have ever owned. First thing that caught my eye was a BIOS that allowed me to select  things using my mouse. That's a first for me and the options in that BIOS are endless. However, I was having some issues right off the hop. Every time I would hit the power button to start up my computer, it would start, then shut down after 5 seconds, then start up again. I was able to modify some BIOS settings to resolve this issue, but none the less, it was weird that this would be on by default.Be warned as well if you install Windows, be sure to install ALL of the drivers that come on the Asus disc. I didn't and ended up having about 5 things in my device manager that would not install (and there was nothing on Windows update  either). Great board, great purchase for the money. Blows anything out of the water from the last generation of boards.
