Was incredibly simple to install even for a novice like myself. Ordered Arctic silver to go with it. My CPU runs much cooler than it did with the old CPU/stock heatsink. It's massive but that's okay. Also, does not come with Arctic silver and you should spend the added couple of dollars to acquire a modest tube which could really nicely be a lifetime provide considering how little you truly will need to use. Extremely delighted with the acquire.

Wonderful and simple to set up, no stress on the motherboard. Superior than the stock hs & fan. Install before setting the motherboard. Got to get one.

Quiet fan at low speed. Keeps my E8400 at 23 degrees C (idle). Might only raise 15 degrees beneath pressure and the fan in no way wants to speed up. Very good strong mount. Emits a slight electrical buzz at low speeds, but it's greater than obtaining noise of the fan going full speed.

Whisper quiet, and keeps the CPU at around 35 degrees. That's all I ask for out of a fan! None Not doing any overclocking. Just constructed the Pc for my sister, and it'll get some fantastic use.

Decent shipping for vacation season. Uncomplicated to install like the back plate much much better then stock. Haven't utilised to verify temps but I am confident they will be okay. Louder then I expected about the same as the stock. Not a bullhorn but not as rather as I anticipated for a aftermarket decent heat sink/fan. Applied the Tuniq TX-2.

Quiet, keeps CPU cool, fits in the Shuttle KPC 45 case. Be careful on installation in the KPC 45 b/c there are some surface mounted components (on the bottom of the board) in the way (not adequate of a deterrent to remain away from this HSF). Also, you can only fit 1 standard size tough disk w/ this cooler (vs. two w/ the stock Intel). I bought this to replace the noisy stock Intel HSF in my Shuttle KPC 45. It functions like a dream, fits like a glove, and sounds like absolutely nothing.

I originally suffered by way of mounting the stock Intel fan and it was an unpleasant ordeal. I got this as a affordable replacement and have been really pleased with the result. The mounting technique is vastly superior to Intel's. Do yourself a favor and don't use the stock Intel fans. Just get this or a better HSF. None.

This issue is keeping my E7600 three.06gHz Core two Duo at 35C idle and 47C under full load. Mind you, I literally just installed this about an hour and a half ago, so it will only drop down when the Arctic Silver 5 sets in. I also like that it came with the bracket, mainly because the stock Intel plastic clips totally suck. None. It was low-cost and doing its job. What additional can I ask for? My motherboard already had a bracket installed. I didn't notice until I have already removed it from the case. No biggie, I have an additional bracket now. :)

Performs as nicely as the quad core heatsink, so a tiny better than stock fan. Could be less costly, does call for bracket, and doesn't cool as properly as other copper heatsink. If this item had free shipping and under 24.99, then it's a steal.

Effortless to mount, performs well. Employed Tuniq thermal paste. Have E8500 OCd to three.6ghz and hasn't gone over 42. On the boring side, but I don't want a rocket engine taking up my whole case either. Good for the price range minded who don't want to use Intel's obnoxious heatsink.

This cooler was easy to set up, the fan is perfectly sized to fit beneath the built in funnel to the side panel's vent, which allows for a direct source of air from the outdoors. This cooler dropped my average cpu temperatures from 35c to 30c, with 32c beneath load for numerous hours. None, instructions really are not necessary, unless you have never turned a screw ahead of, or looked in a personal computer case. Btw, this fan has some heft to it, i was suprised by this when compared to stock intel cooler.intel core2duo e7200 @ 2.53ghz

No push pins, better than stock cooler Average performance at finest. Making use of this on an E8400 and my temps idle in the high 30's and low 40's. But what ever...its superior to the stock cooler and I'm using a mini tower. I bought this cooler to replace that pathetic skinny heatsink that Intel ships. It actually resembles the older P4 coolers. I often hated the pushpin design and found this to be a perfect replacement. This is what the stock cooler should have been in the initially location...

Parts match with no effort if you know what you're doing. Copper core. Quiet PWM fan. Dropped idle and normal use CPU and case temp 20C over the stock Intel fan. Whats not to like? Attaching the front panel wires back to the MB after installation. You have to remove the MB from the case to do the install, but you need to do that anyway to clean the old gunk off the CPU, so NBD. If you need instructions, right here they areŋ. Take away the plug-in boards, front panel wires, case fan wires, and PS connections from the MB and eliminate the MB from the case.two. Disconnect the heatsync fan wires and get rid of the heatsync from the MB.3. Clean the old thermal paste gunk from the CPU. A tiny rubbing alcohol on an old t-shirt perform fine.four. Optional: Remove thermal past from the heatsync and use a thin coating of a very good heatsync paste (Artic Silver five is my decision) on the CPU.five. Set up the bracket on the bottom of the MB. The side with the plastic goes against the MB. Insert the threaded knob items into the holes already there for the stock CPU. A small pressure is all it yakes, so do not use excessive force.six. Turn the MB over and set the heatsync on the CPU and align the screws with the holes. Tighten using the same "X" pattern you would use for the stock Intel heatsync, 2 turns at at time for every single to keep an even stress, till all are snug. 7. Reconnect.

Low-cost, great fan, NO NOISE a bit bigger than I would normally want in a small case, wasnt crazy about the plastic covered mounting bracket the initially time I saw it ( didnt assume it could be secure ) I am employing three of these, 1 with an E6550 Core2 and 2 with E2160 Dual Cores. With AC MX-2 grease the temps are two to five degrees cooler than stock Intel. The 92mm fans run quite quiet and I have not had problems with the plastic covered bracket.

Low cost. Cools the CPU as soon as you get it installed. Got this to replace an e-machine cpu fan/heatsink. Cheap. One particular of the four mounting bolts broke off when I was screwing it in. I had to go to the hardware store and get a machine screw, washer and nuts to go with the spring I salvaged from the broken bolt. The replacement bolt fastened down properly, thank goodness. The fan has the slightest high-pitched whine. I put a dab of wd-40 on it and it seemed to assist some. Now I can't hear it unless I'm fairly close to the case. Hopefully the noise it will disappear more than time. I'm wishing I had purchased a much better fan.

Although not completely silent, considerably much more quiet than stock fans and my 2.93 GHz Core Duo runs a couple of degrees cooler. Also good getting a guard to make positive wires do not interfere with the fan. Simply because it utilizes screws you have to pull the motherboard to install this fan making it a bit of chore if you are seeking for a replacement. I could not like the guard so much when it comes time for cleaning.

Utilized this in location of the stock cooler for a Core 2 Duo P8500 at three.16 MHz. Keeps the cores at ambient ྺቷC) when idle. Below full load tension test, they only reached 37ኂC. Mount is a lot additional safe than stock fan. (Push pins on any fan are a bad thing in my opinion) Very easily worth the price in conjuction with Arctic Silver 5. Mounting will appear strange to a initially time builder. Documentation is light but it will tighten up. When you mount it to the board the springs will hold it in location with the appropriate stress. You have to mount it before installing the motherboard in the case considering that the screws go by way of the motherboard.

I love the installation of this, I purchased it particularly mainly because it applied screws and not tabs. Fits completely on CPU and the truth that you want to take the MOBO out is genuinely no large deal. It keeps my Duo Core processor really cool even whilst gaming. None, appropriate height, right fan speed, quiet. No cons at all!

Not overly big, extremely quiet, effortless to set up.Very reasonably priced. none Maintaining my E6300 Wolfdale at low to upper 30's,proper from the very first time I fired it up.Took off the thermal paste that came on it ,and put on Arctic Silver paste.Utilizing this on a Gigabyte GA EP45 UD3P board and had no interference problems with any components.Backing plate assistance design is a substantially far better way to go,significantly less stress on board.

Fan is extremely quiet even at complete speed. Cooler is not significantly bigger than stock Intel unit, but offers considerably superior cooling and much less noise. I would undoubtedly buy a single again. The thermal paste seemed like it was dried up and was unusable. There were no directions offered and installation calls for motherboard removal. (No major deal) Great efficiency in a not also big cooler.

very good unit, keeps e1400 celeron good and cool. Hopefully will cool a single of these quad core chips so I don't have to take out the motherboard again when I upgrade.no vibrations, very quiet. kinda heavy, heavier than stock cooler, might trigger some issue if you frequently move about your machine. Nevertheless, should be better than the stock push-pins. rid yourself of those intel push-pins forever! They lead to excessive tension on the motherboard and will sooner or later weaken the motherboard material and result in hairline cracks. That does absolutely nothing fantastic for your method stability and lifetime.
