The Lian Li Computer-A05NA has an outstanding layout. I can not imagine a much better layout given the size - a reasonably roomy interior, good cooling, and it's really quiet out of the box. On the overall performance side of issues, it's absolutely surpassed my expectations. It certainly blows away the ten+ year old Compaq Deskpro ATX case its replacing in just about every category except durability. It's also nice to find a minimalist silver case that hasn't been beat by the ugly stick - a rare come across in nowadays's age where the majority of choices resemble either a mini Las-Vegas or a hulking black monolith. However, the aluminum is a bit thin side giving it a bit of a flimsy really feel, it's surely not a brick like the Mac Pro chassis. There is also a number of minor imperfections in the finish out of the box. I know I shouldn't complain a lot provided the fairly low cost, but it bothers me regardless. The description advertises a ieee-1394/firewire port, even so my unit doesn't appear to have a single. This is a big minus for me as the create will be utilized with a DV cam.Its also a little disturbing that the front panel comes off so quickly - I can just consider a person grabbing the case by the front edge and possessing it pop off, case crashing to the ground in the approach. There is a black stripe across the front edge of the case, I'm guessing it's supposed to balance the appearance if drives with black faceplates are installed. Personally, I consider it just appears odd.

Good high quality building. I choose the appearance over black or painted silver. The weight is not heavy, but the components feel substantial. I like the layout. PS at the front is unusual, and the warm exhaust is certainly noticeable at the front. My desk is a little small even though, so it sits close to me. No major deal although. The only (minor) complaint I have is the CD drives are not the doors (which I was incorrect to assume) but alternatively the bezels which get rid of. I'd rather have a hinged door so the finish is the very same consistent aluminum. I have a black CD drive sticking in there, and I havent come across a brushed aluminum CD drive but. Once again, not a major deal. Would recommend!

Incredibly lovely case. The appear of this case just can't be praise sufficient. Use aluminum down to the dumb screws. The craftsmanship is out of this world. Comes with decent fans with very good airflow for CPU and HDDs. If you want to develop a very good looking Office/General use desktop, you have identified your case. The airflow for the PSU is not terriblely nicely made, and based on the CPU cooler you use, you may well get decent to poor airflow. Graphic cards are essentially on their own in cooling. The case does not have any signifies to help air intake or exhaust for the top half, so if your graphic card doesn't have a blower style cooler, acquiring a pci slot blower fan is extremely advisable.

outstanding develop material, lightweight, great airflow, both sides are removable for ease of cable management, front cover has vents on the side, providing sufficient space for PSU's with side exhaust fans to blow out hot air, inverted ATX layout is ingenious no side window obtainable to show off the guts if you're a "mature" gamer and seeking for a functionality case with a timeless, sleeper look, this one will not disappoint. you wont regret a single penny spent on this case.

Nice finish, no sharp edges, solid building. While not the finest case I've ever bought, surely up there. What's ironic is the best case I've ever bought was also produced by Lian Li. A lot of thumbscrews to make functioning with it uncomplicated. I had to eliminate the back case fan and turn it so the cable was extended sufficient to reach the far side of the board. The energy supply place is in an odd position in front, preventing one particular from flipping a PSU's constructed-in on/off switch. Essentially this style forces a PSU to become a power vampire. Other than the two minor cons, this is a excellent case. Would I purchase this case again? Possibly.

Really high excellent, precise edges, no sharp burrs, everything slots with each other exactly. Classy look. The energy supply mounts in a somewhat weird position, but it works out. A small window could be nice (I have some sensors with displays in the case).

Extremely eye-catching hunting and the arrangement of the power supply permits a smaller sized case with no compromising the range of elements that can be installed. I've fought overheating issues ever due to the fact I got the case. The processor is cooled wonderfully, but the video cards up at leading are totally on their personal. Heat naturally rises, which adds to the challenge. Even with good aftermarket cooling for my 8800GTX I have overheating troubles. I even attempted replacing the fans with some quiet ball bearing fans running at a greater RPM and moving much more air.My pc is restricted to what it can do without having acquiring the video card also hot. Construct:Intel Core two Quad Q6600 Kentsfield two.4 GHzfour GBEVGA (NVIDIA) 8800GTX768MBSure, I could upgrade the video card to anything newer that runs cooler, but I haven't turn out to be annoyed sufficient to drop the cash. The most demanding points I do is Photoshop, watching films, or The Sims three. I don't _want_ the upgrade for something but temp troubles!

Does everything I need to have it to. The temp show is pretty neat. The speed stepping of the cpu functions pretty effectively and must save energy. The back panel wasn't cut fairly right so I couldn't put it in with no covering some of the jacks/ports on the back panel. I get an error from the raid controller claiming "no really hard disk detected", with the most current final release of the bios. I played with numerous settings attempting to remedy this. Didn't set up the tiny fan, nonetheless quite cool to the touch.

The aluminum building and uncomplicated lines look incredible. The USB and audio in/out ports on the prime of the case covered by a flap are standard of Lian Li's style brilliance. That's exactly exactly where these things should have been all the time. Consider about it, you use a USB thumbdrive or plug your headphones in, what far better place than on the leading of the box? When not in use, the flap closes and your back to ultra clean lines. Aluminum also support cool the whole rig down. Not substantially but it does aid. The price is a little on the higher side but when you open the covers you'll see where the additional funds went. No rough edges. Screw holes that line up. Higher high quality hardware. Beautiful style work. Lian Li builds the finest instances on the planet, finish of discussion. I have tried most popular instances out there and except for for Coolermaster, nothing at all comes close to Lian Li. Certain, they don't appear like the strip in Las Vegas with all the lights and knobs and pure useless attributes on them but these are constructed to last. These are not kid stuff situations with windows and radiators running via them. Even though if I had been to develop an overtop hot mod case, I'd use a Lian Li for the base.

light weight, compact, clean style, simple access some black trim, no wheels Love this case. I have about 6 circumstances , and this is a lot far better than my AntecMini Tower thats supposed to be quiet. You know the 1 with piano finish. I have that in white, and it looks OK, but its a heavy steel case, and its just not easy to flip on side and work on it if will need be. the case design is tough to access things for it also. THe Lain Li, is believed out for the most component. It has fantastic airflow in my opinion, it operates just fine.As lengthy as you have the fans blowing in the correct path, and you dont have super high speed at incorrect point and largely sucktion, your very good to go. My three.6Ghz i7 16gb x64 setup resides in this case. It possibly looked at the least significant thing to think about for a Pc setup, but in the end it becomes the foundation of it all, and that is important, and worth a couple of extra bucks for a effectively believed out case.

Amazing small situation that can take care of the Largest CPU coolers (IFX-14 right here) , and longest GPUs with space to spare!!! Light weight aluminum, great high quality. I adore the layout!!!! Good for SSD computer. It begs modding, and is genuine straightforward to mod. This is my SECOND Construct in this situation purchased numerous years ago! Front fan access a tiny difficult, and air flow not good on major with a hot video card. I've added a 120mm fan on each side panel, plus two 80mms proper side panel all blowing in. Have front and back fans blowing out, so all components get outdoors air straight on them. Extremely quiet with fans turned down. Resisted the temptation for a leading fan which would be the apparent fix (Lian Li), as I like to be able to take side panels off and often rinse fans in sink. Looks wonderful with Xigmatek orange fans. Suggest PSU with back fan. Lian Li requirements to build a high end situation in this little configuration with improved air flow!

All Aluminum, additional screws for anything, enough space for full size ATX board and 6950 video card, power provide front mount enables PS to be upside down or right side up and cord is long adequate to route neatly inside the case. This is a compact case with sufficient space to run a complete system with no difficulties. None. Installed my P45 mainbord with a HD6950 and Antec 650watt power provide. There is room for 2 optical drives and 3 challenging drives and nevertheless have airflow about all parts! Typical Lian Li construction makes this a extremely nice seeking high high quality case with no major faults. The hardest component was routing the wiring to reduce the clutter and even then I was in a position to hold 75% of the cables out of the airflow paths. Adore the appear and functionality of this case!! It is my new preferred!

- Looks good.- Nicely developed, simple to function with, lightweight.- Back to front airflow eliminates hot air cushion amongst the case and a wall.- 2x120mm quiet fans.- Rubber washer suspension for HDD for low noise and vibration.- Front mounting for PSU delivers superior access to elements. Aluminum is thinnish - need to be gentle when working with the case. Back to front airflow is a fantastic idea, since computer instances tend to be stashed in close spaces and that leads to hot air layer trapped in between the back of the case and the wall. This case gets the air in the back and blows it out of the front. Some reviewers mentioned their cases case with black front cover screws, but my case had chrome screws. However my case has black trim on the top of the front cover, which I personally don't thoughts since I have black card reader and DVD drive faceplates anyway.

Nice searching case, lots of nuts and bolts included, easy to deal with. Power LED connector is 3 pin with middle wire missing, whereas my motherboard (MSI P55A-GD65) has two adjacent pins. Not a major deal, I just applied a thick sewing needle to relocate the wire on the connector. It's simple, gently lift plastic tab on the connector, pull the wire off and stick it back into the middle hole. And don't forget about polarity :)

I am way above common in size, and perhaps it does really feel that way in my hands, but just shy of solid really feel. No top firewire, or eSATA(no biggy, seldom use it) With making use of SSD drives, and a fanless vid card with Silent Thrmaltake fan...This is the LIGHTEST, and QUIETEST case I have ever touched, let alone build. I have a Dell laptop that weighs practically the similar. Thanks to ALL ALUMINUMŋ Egg for alum getting a touch on the thin side.I like getting greater and better circumstances...consequently, I can say, "best case I ever had"

This case is fantastic! I had restricted height to perform with, so I went searching. This case matched my desk, leaving half an inch to spare. The height is decreased, even though nonetheless permitting full atx board to be used. It's got plenty of space on the inside, with a power supply that is strangely, but efficiently mounted in the front of the case. The fans are efficient and quiet, just like you would anticipate from such a high top quality case. The drive mounting is totally initially rate. It was ingenious to use regular gromets and slide the drive in like this. You can put a screw in if you are moving it about, but with no they are a lot more than secure sufficient. There is also a fan dedicated just to exhaust appropriate behind the drives, not counting the power supply exhaust appropriate below. Drive cooling has always been one of my pet peeves. The opical drives are the very same, the clips they designed are great, no genuine need for screws or rails! The front of the case comes off a small a lot easier than I would like. It also would be good if the sides clipped on like numerous antec instances do. Don't hesitate buying this! I like the thought of becoming able to pick out the exact energy supply I want as properly.

Lian Li quality, mostly aluminum, and it looks excellent. This is an elegant small "sleeper" case, with enough room inside for the largest components (see other thoughts).I found this case to be extremely uncomplicated to function on. I like how the front panel pops off and I also like becoming able to take off the leading cover. Top mounted USB and audio plugs are not an ideal configuration in my book. Front panel would have been superior. Also, the little aluminum door does not snap shut by itself (the alignment is a little off).Black plastic on the front panel (top and bottom) looks out of location. Think it or not, but I stuffed an more than sized mainboard and an HD5970 in this case without any key drama. In order to fit the "ATX-XL" mainboard, I had to drill out one of the three rivets that attaches the motherboard tray to the best U-shaped aluminum brace. This was easily accomplished following removing the top cover. The HD5970 fit just fine since the difficult drive cage is slightly lower than the video card. I put a little rubber foot on the best of the difficult drive cage so that the end of the video card rests on it. This keeps the video card from drooping under it's own weight. Be advised that some mainboards location the main PCI-E video slot closer to the I/O panel and if this was the case then the HD5970 would not fit unless you removed the difficult drive cage. I hope this makes sense. My new gaming box:GA-890FXA-UD7Phenom x6 1090T4GB OCZ DDR3 1600OCZ Vertex2 SSDThermaltake 850W PSUKoolance Exos 2.fiveKoolance waterblocks (CPU, MB, GPU)Lian Li PC-A05NA

Aluminum looks terrific and the case is very lightweight. Toolless construction and no sharp edges.Fit my MSI GTX560 Twin Frozr graphics card with no difficulties. There is only about an inch or two of clearance among the edge of my Micro ATX motherboard and the optical drive bays, even so, so longer graphics cards might be tight. If you take or cut the optical drive bay somehow you may be able to get an added Ӳ inches or so of graphics card room. It looks a little larger overall than I was expecting. Program runs cool but a little noisy. The built-in fans are comparatively quiet but don't push a lot air.I have the two built-in case fans, a quiet 120 mm fan on my Seasonic 520W power supply, the stock fan on an Intel Core i5-2500, and the two fans on an MSI GTX560 Twin Frozr graphics card and it's about as loud as my Jasper Xbox 360 (non-slim).Also, the energy and HDD LED's on the front are very bright blue/orange respectively. I wish they were about 1Ǚ as bright simply because they light up my room a little at night. My superior half appreciates the more adult aesthetic of this case when compared to my old Antec Three Hundred. It's considerably lighter too thanks to the aluminum.

But its a 2500$ create around the core i7 with a huge Zalman 120mm heat sink and a massive GTX 295. This factor GAMES!! Im loving it. Its all upside down. Makes all the sense in the world. The front and side panels are uncomplicated to detach and reattach. Optical and difficult drives are effortless to mount, and tough drives are isolation mounted with rubber grommets. Front power supply mounting efficently uses what would be dead space in most cases leaving extra room to get to the CPU and for CPU cooling air flow. The push/pull cooling fans work effectively and are quite quiet. The polished aluminum is quite attractive, and the black trim band on the best blends my black ASUS OD smoothly into the front of the case. The case is also pleasantly light weight due to aluminum construction. It's not an problem for me, but you can mount only 3 difficult drives in the HD isolation mount bays. You could mount a couple much more, 1 in the three.five inch bay and 1 in the second OD bay, but this is not a case for a huge RAID array. On the other hand, with 1 TB SATA3 drives now, how several drives do you actually require?

My favorite Lian Li Case so far and I've owned 3 various models even the new PC-B25F.All models have leading of the line create high quality but this particular model is the smallest and most minimalistic of the couple of I've owned. It appears to have around the same depth as a mid-tower but shorter so you can fit anything full-sized in it. This is enormous plus for me as I upgrade frequently and can't be hindered by size problems when deciding what to buy for the system next.Huge video cards will fit. An old 8800gts 512 and a newer HIS 5770 vid card each fit with no complications and they are by no meens modest cards. Like most folks I'd prefer the usb and other audio jacks to be situated on the front instead of the best. If you're anything like me the leading of a pc case is the 1st place you set points and usb's tend to get in the way.Not a design flaw but much more of a private preference. My brother likes it the way it is. If you can swing a few additional bucks and like the smaller, clean-cut, minimalistic, and classy looks this case won't disappoint. From what I've learned in dozens of builds is it's worth receiving a great case. Why obtain a new case every single time you rebuild?

A perfect intro case to Lian-Li. One of the best aluminum case I have ever bought. Sturdy construction, panels are thick, interior has no sharp edges. It even includes cable management parts like clamps and twist ties. Unless with some modification, SLI/crossfire may not work in this case. Limited air flow inside the case, so temps will be higher.
