Cons: -weaknesses do not include the "cheap" connectors.-two more feet of cord and i could get at my fridge without taking off the headphones

Pros: -very crisp-long cord-low profile connectors (no clearance issues)
Comment:
my review will be slightly biased. closest thing to quality i have had to date is my sony mdr-g56 headphones. i had a walmart pair of gaming headphones and they were what i expected (all bass and terrible). these headphones are on another level. i suppose $500 headphones could get you better quality sound and I am inclined to agree. however these headphones sound great, are comfortable and sports a mic for your gaming needs.

Cons: Hollow midrageNot suitable for music at allWeak bass

Pros: ComfortableBlocks outside noise decentlyExcellent microphoneClear highs
Comment:
First of all, do not think about listening to music with this headset it sounds plain bad. The midrange sounds a bit hollow and the closed nature of this headphone creates some echo like soundstage which does not sound good. The bass is fairly weak without modding. This is in comparison to a Sennheiser HD600 which sound better for everything by far, no comparison can be made really (It's that much better). I feel this headset is not worth the retail price at all, do not expect these to blow you away unless you come from $20 earbuds. On the other hand, the mic is very clear though it's vulnerable to nose breathers. The build quality is decent, doesn't feel too flimsy. The cord is long and the volume and mute controls on the pod is useful. I am using this on a high end USB DAC with an headphone amplifier so the source is not the weakest link in my setup. Buy this headset for gaming and stick with it for gaming exclusively, it just not sound dynamic enough for music.

These are the nicest headphones I've ever owned, very good sound quality although out of the box they sounded terrible. I had to tweak my sound settings a bit before they sounded decent. Great for games or music. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-03-10 06:36 PM

best gaming headset i've owned. The cable is long enough - no need to buy extensions even though my pc is slightly far from the monitor. Can wear this playing counter strike for 5 hours straight with no discomfort. YOU NEED TO GET THIS!

Before this pair I previously owned a Skullcandy GI headset. I found it very uncomfortable because the speakers rested against my ears. With these the ear cups are actually formed around the whole ear comfortably keeping the speaker off the ear.The inline volume control feels solid and does not crackle when adjusting the volume. The volume control also has a little window on it so you can identify how loud it is set at.These headphones have already fallen off my desk multiple times and they are still working! You definitely get what you pay for. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-05-10 10:31 PM

Cons: -Cost

Pros: -Highly accurate sound reproduction-Very clear, sounds are separated well-Mic is extremely clear
Comment:
Best headset/headphones I have ever owned, and I have owned other high end offerings of competitors. Mic is extremely clear, picks up no outside noise or interference, many people have noticed the overall voice quality since purchasing this headset. The thing I noticed most was all the sounds I began hearing that i never heard before. Games, music and movies began to have have richer, fuller sound that I never knew it previously had. Sounds were highly accurate, and separated to the point where I could hear the individual instruments' guitar/drums/bass/vocals as if I were in the recording studio of the music I was listening to. I could hear the smallest footsteps in FPS games, giving a huge advantage to online/competitive play. I can't say anything remotely bad about these things, cost is the only factor, but they are definitely worth the money for the quality you are receiving.

I just upgraded to these from a set of pc161, and these are far superior. They are extremely comfortable for me and the mic is positioned well. I have been playing css, tf2, cod4, and 2142 with these and they all sound amazing, I can't wait to try out bad company 2 on these. It is a little weird not being able to hear myself talk when I use ingame voice or voip, but it's not a big deal.If you can price match them (135-160) they are defiantly worth that little bit extra you're paying for them.My only complaint (just me being picky) is that they don't quite provide a perfect seal around my ears, that's just the way my head is, so I made a removable velcro strap around the back to provide just a slightly better seal and sound quality. Cons: Uncomfortable, not so great for music

Pros: Great sound, noise canceling functions well, microphone very clear, functions very well for gaming.
Comment:
This headset is really good for what it is for, gaming. Playing Counterstrike: Source with a pair of these is amazing. Could hear footsteps of people miles away, it was really clear and powerful. As for music, the sound is fairly good. Sound is clear, and to me the bass seems quite strong. To me, the sound is better than my old Razer Carcharias. My only real complaint is how uncomfortable these are for me. They are tight on the ears, which is somewhat ok, but for long periods of time, my ears begin to hurt. Compared to my Carcharias, these come nowhere near in comfort and usage. I am using my Carcharias because of this, since they simply get to uncomfortable for a long gaming session. Another compliant is that the padding gets really oily and somewhat gross. This is since the muffs are so tight on the ears.Overall, I still recommend these, if you're looking for a new headset with great sound. Everybody else says they are very comfortable, though I would disagree, it seems the majority find them comfortable. I wouldn't buy them again for myself, instead I would get another Carcharias if my headset broke.

It is a great headset and I bought it because it is so comfortable & it is made by Sennheiser and is, therefore, made to last because it is good quality.Way to expensive as it is for what you get though.I will likely buy the Tritton Axpro True 5.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headphones to see if I like them. Need to read some reviews on it. Probably when this breaks, if ever.4 Stars because it is so comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Cons: Lack of accessories

Pros: Comfortable, great sound, awesome mic, really durable
Comment:
Let me start off by saying I LOVE this headset. I had a pair of sennheisers 165s and 151s, and the sound on these just blows those away. The circumaural design is much more comfortable, and the material around the ears makes it so that it doesn't collect hair.Over ventrilo, everybody remarks how great the microphone sounds. And the build quality is definitely a step above their other PC headsets.Really would have been nice if it had come with other accessories. The cord is really long, so some cord management would be nice. As I've already pointed out, I've already owned a few sennheiser headsets and my issue is that they keep breaking. Despite the superior build quality, I've ordered a Sennheiser HH10 off of ebay to take better care of it (a bracket for the headphones that clips on the side of your desk.) It would have been nice if they were included with the headphones, or at least sold on NCIX. Not too big a deal though.Overall I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with this purchase. NCIX charges a lot more than other sites though so don't be afraid of using the price match system (hope I don't get in trouble for saying that!) Great headphones though.

Pros: Amazing sound quality for gaming headphonesVery clear sound for microphone

Now, I have just gotten these, and I have to say, the sound quality is amazing. Everything is very clear, and I'm starting to hear sounds in the bass and mid that I've never heard before on my earphones. If you're looking to get a headphone for pure listening, this isn't the one for you, but if you're looking for one with a quality built in microphone, this would be highly recommended.I only wish the microphone could be removable so I can take it around with me on an ipod without the mic sticking out like a sore thumb, and it's rather pricey for this category of headphones.

Cons: none, I just wish it was cheaper (you get what you pay for?)

Pros: These are amazing headphones. They're pretty expensive but they're worth every penny. I'm writing this review because I want to let everyone know that they're fantastic.Using these without a sound card is just unacceptable. They're very well rounded headphones. Clear sound, excellent sound placement for gaming, great bass, and it's just a very well made headset. The voice is incredibly clear and concise and it's a dream headset. They're also extremely comfortable and cover your whole ear. You can wear them for hours. I feel like I'm a pilot at times :)
Comment:
I'd say this is the best gaming headset on the market.Don't settle for garbage 5.1 headphones. These are absolutely fantastic for gaming. I play mainly counter-strike 1.6 and I swear the sound is so phenominal I can shoot while I'm blind and still land a headshot. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-21-09 02:01 AM

The box itself blew me away at home nice was it packaged let alone how nice the headset looked them self. They are very well built, the comfort and weight is nice (not too heavy or light) I replaced my Medusa 5.1 for these and i don't regret the money spent at all. The sound is extremely crisp for games. Would not recommend if you want it for Music, it does alright for MOvies...BEst for Games....!!! decent for everything else...why cause they are GAMING headsets..

Ultimate gaming headset, this is it! Teamspeak, Ventrilo, skype, nothing it can't handle. The mic quality is amazing. I mainly use it for gaming. Great tool for hearing ppl sneaking up on you! It's a great product but if you don't have the proper soundcard then you might wanna go out of your way and buy one before purchasing this headset. The onboard will NOT cut it.!

I got these only because of the built in mic, and they do work well for Skype calls and Online gaming, but when compared to a Sennheiser HD650 they sound like tin cans.Surprisingly my 11 year old Sennheiser HD570's (that are very worn and stating to fall apart) still sound better, but only just. The bass on the PC 350 is defiantly better then the HD570's, but the pure sound quality is not the same.If you are into Left4dead type games and VOIP calls... you can't beat the PC 350's, but audiophicas & HD music lovers should look else where. I bought these to replace some Trittons that fell apart in about 10 months. I absolutely love these headphones. I have an auzentech prelude and these sound amazing with them. These are very comfortable after hours of gameplay. They are a bit pricey but of very good quality. I highly reccomend these to anyone who loves comfort and quality. I'm in no way an audophile but I love the way these sound.

Cons: ExpensiveMic (Doesn't cancel noise that well)

Pros: Nice Black FinishQuality of buildBrand Name
Comment:
I have this headset and it is amazing. They are extremely comfortable and they block out noise pretty good. It has a nice black finish and you can tell the quality of the build, it's not flimsy or cheap. The sound on it is very good and has pretty good bass. I have the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Sound Card and trust me you don't need an amp if you have a good sound card. The mic has good sound quality, but the only downside is it doesn't really cancel out sound that well. When I test the mic on vent, I can hear background noise from my TV. It's not extremely loud, but you can still tell. And my T.V. volume isn't even that loud. As well, the headphone cups rotate so you can lay them flat on your shoulders if you take them off or adjust the angle when you have them on for a better fit. All in all, this is still a beautiful headset and you definitely get what you pay for. I've bought a bunch of other heaadsets before and none of them compare to this. I can tell will last me a long time and it is a good investment. Pick up a pair for sure and you won't regret it.

Cons: -Price-Somewhat high input impedance-Slightly weak low-end

Pros: -Sound-Environmental isolation-Ergonomics
Comment:
You're definitely getting what you pay for, but a lot people may not need or appreciate it. But if you do, you won't be disappointed.I was already using decent closed-ear phones for a long time, but I'm hearing my music like never before. Distortion guitars now crunch, percussion rings, and bass notes throb. Tones are clear and even, albeit with a slight top-end bias (to be expected from a closed-ear gaming set). Adding 2-3db towards the bottom end, and knocking off 1-2db in the 1-4KHz range compensated for 99% of that. Despite these being a "Gaming Headset", I've definitely noticed the biggest impact in my music.Gaming: Sound effects are crisp and these phones respond very well to the virtual surround sound on my sound card. Can't speak much for the microphone, although I seem to be understood well enough, with no complaints yet about background noise. The server is usually the weak point in any TS/Vent connection, anyway. The mic boom is solid but slightly flexible; if it breaks off, you're definitely at fault. At 150ohms, the impedance of these phones is higher than average and might be a little too much for some sound outputs. My Auzen Prelude card had no trouble, but I had to boost my main volume from 50% to 70%. People with onboard sound might have trouble, but can't say for sure.Ergonomics are good. Not excessively tight, the mic boom moves easily, but firmly enough to stay wherever you put it. The inline volume switch only goes from 100% to about 50%, which may be an issue for some, but makes fine tuning easier (get a keyboard with mute button). Environmental isolation is superb, far better than my old closed-ears. I hope a fire doesn't start, because I can't guarantee I'll hear the alarm. 3-4 hour sustained sessions with these on is proving quite easy.

Pros: Great sound quality.Very comfortable over long periods of time.Good quality microphone. Can be "folded" for transport.Inline remote for volume and on/off control of the mic.Closed design blocks out external sounds.Good looks.
Comment:
I bought this recently and am very satisfied overall with these headphones. Sound quality is very good just as expected from a Sennheiser product though they are slightly lacking in the bass department. They are very comfortable to wear over long periods of time. I own a pair of PC161 and had to move them every half-hour or so because of discomfort or pain (too tight for my head) but not so with these. The closed design also helps to block external sounds which makes the experience so much more immersive.
