The drivers and installation software is only rated for XP, even though the StarTech website says Vista. No documentation says Windows 7. I installed the card on my win7 x64 machine, and win7 picked it up right away and installed some default usb drivers that worked fine. I compared read/write speeds of the card ports with my gigabyte motherboard ports (both usb2.0/480Mb and usb3.0/4800Mb ports), and got these relative numbers for my little usb flash drive: Startech ports (5.8mbwrite/6.2mbread), usb2.0 mobo (7/9), usb3.0 mobo (7/9). So the card speeds are comparable, but a little slower than, the latest 2010 mobo port speeds.
