it didnt work as a splitter, i tried this using my mac mini. it does not split the signal, so it will output the same on both. the only way i had it working was if i only had one monitor on when i turned on my computer. then if i wanted to use the other monitor, i would have to shut down, and turn on the other monitor. all in all save your money to buy a usb based video card. this is what i am going to do next

The device DVI port didn't work, didn't care to return it because it was cheap. also it seems you need two identical monitors with same resolution to work
