Bought this originally to extend a WDTV and have used it that way till very recently when I discovered that it works with my year old Shaw Motorola 3416 PVR. Got it on sale and have enjoyed the sleek packaging and solid feel and general build quality of the unit. Have bought another for my kid and would definitely buy another. |

Nice size, nice lighting. Esata for the future. Came formatted fat32. Doesnt appear to "sleep" the drive, but has on-off switch. Lack of sleep may protect it from flakeyness I have seen with some Seagate externals. Power adaptor is small and light. |

Pros: Quiet, easy to set up. Runs cooler than most externals. Comment:
When pricing for customers, rebates are a consideration. But when a $30.00 rebate doesn't arrive within the prescribed time period, and has to Be chased down - that is time, and time is money.When buying, don't think of the rebate because as in our case (2 now) you may not receive it and chasing it down can cost you more in your time - and that too, can turn in to a waste of time - again.AcomData is in our list of 'consider actual price only'. |
I have been using this for close to 2 years now, do not regret my purchase, never had to reformat, never had any issues. I carry this around with me alot. I bring it from my home to my music studio, use it extensively as an external music source. I have dropped it twice with No damage. I love the LED display in the front with different colors indicating reading/writing on or from the drive.Good build quality and eSata support is a must for large file transfers!
