Cons: These need to be used with smartphone or tablet running iOS or Android to get the best experience. They are not audiophile headphones but they are still very impressive. Also, you really need to read up on these because the user manual does not mention all the different modes these headphones can be used in. I was surprised that aptX was not included with the headphones but I guess that is fine for now since no iOS devices support aptX.
Pros: These headphones are amazing! I have been waiting for a long time to buy a good pair of noise cancelling, bluetooth headphones. I discovered the Parrot Zik headphones and was amazed with the quality and the features built in to these headphones. Many of the features include Bluetooth gesture controls, rechargeable battery, battery life is decent, sound quality when powered, comfortable, solid build. The headphones can be used in many different modes passively (no power) but they sound awful. However, if you power them up, and use a cable they sound great! You can also use them in Bluetooth mode which is also impressive as you get full controls and the app control as well. Very happy with this purchase and NCIX offered the best price I could find when they were on sale!! |

Cons: a little heavier than Bose QC15
Pros: Touch technology, iOS app, multifunctionaity and more Comment:
I have been trying different bluetooth headsets of late and just couldn't find the right one. I have the Bose QC15 which I use mostly when I travel. But I needed something wireless to watch/listen on my iPad or Mac. Then I tried to google "best bluetooth headset". The Parrot Zik was right there as No.1. Believe me, it's rightly the NUMBER ONE!!! The sound is superb, especially the "Tuned By Lou Reed" option. You can also play with the equalizer and create your own. The design is adorable. With no vivid tradename on it, it will only leave others wondering what headset you are using. The range is very good too. I was able to walk around the house without loosing connection unlike others I have tested. Works great as a headset, I tested it with my iPhone. This is a great headset because unlike the Bose QC15, I can decide not to use the noise cancelling function or go wireless. With this it comes quite cheaper. So I don't think it is overpriced. Well, maybe because I was lucky to get it at a discounted $289 price from NCIX. Even at the full $400 it is worth every penny. About the case ..... it is readily available online and I ordered one already.I noticed it to be a little heavier than he Bose because I have something to compare it with. Despite, I love it and highly recommend Parrot Zik. |
If you are looking to use these with an iPhone, iPad, or Android device I would highly recommend these headphones.
