Cons: The ONLY con i can find is that i haven't been able to use an adapter on it. The adapter would work c60hz but not c120/140hz so i just bought a titan x and fixed the problem :D.

Pros: - Fast response rate - Gsync works well- Color are bright even at mid setting- Haven't seen ghosting yet- For gaming, this IS what you want- Very nice design- OSD is very nice to work with- Everything worked straight out of the box and was flawless, no scratches or anything.
Comment:
I highly recommend this monitor for any gamer who likes smoothness. Gsync is a WONDERFUL feature and coupled with 144hz my god, i'm much better in games. Hard to understand ? get the monitor and you'll see for yourself. As of now i only recommend this monitor for whoever has the money.

Cons: -USB Ports at the back-One DisplayPort.

Pros: -1440p-144Hz-G-Sync-Beautiful Aesthetics-Thin Bezels-Displayport cable included-Pivot, Swivel, Height Adjust-Easy access buttons
Comment:
I don't have much to say regarding this monitor. It's unbelievable once you set it up. The YouTube videos (I'm looking at you Linus) do not give this monitor justice. The bezels are small on this thing, and the viewing angles aren't that bad IMO. G-Sync is incredible, it runs everything i've thrown at it pretty smooth. I'm currently using a Single GTX 980 SC from eVGA. 1440p is my new 1080p, and i couldn't be happier... You just have to man up and dish out the cash. Would buy again.

Cons: Price/Early Adoption Technology

Pros: The objective King of the Gaming Monitors
Comment:
I've owned the ROG Swift for some months now; and to this day I can't help but get the shivers when I look at it proudly perched on my desk. Coming from a person who has has access to every graphics card of every model and monitor's to test them all with; this is the undisputed king of the Gaming Monitor market when it comes to performance.1440p is outstanding; 1080p just wouldn't cut it at this size, while 4k at 144Hz just isn't a thing we will be seeing for some time. The TN panel on the PG279Q Swift is the second-best I've ever seen but when you consider that it's a 144Hz panel with G-Sync at 1440p you start to wonder if it doesn't deserve the 'best' title on that merit alone. The only drawback is the price; obviously, but as competitors can't seem to release anything to the makret I will once again provide ASUS with their reward for being the first to 144Hz out-of-the-box 1440p. There are other options for high-refresh rate 120Hz+ panels at 1440p; but you won't be receiving a warranty with them and trust me when I say there's a difference between IPS 120Hz at 7ms and TN 144Hz at 1ms Native.

Cons: Some may have issues with this being a TN Panel, but you cannot get 1ms response from an IPS. It's a trade-off unfortunately. But remember this ROG Swift's TN Panel is really good.

Pros: Amazing looks, build quality, and speed.Gsync is a game changer. I cannot go back to gaming on a normal monitor.
Comment:
This is for buyers that are looking for nothing but the highest performing monitor for gaming. period. It's expensive, but that's what you get for being an early adopter.

Cons: -arrived with a 1.5 inch scratch that is very visible with the light on.- Expensive if you are buying something with a scratch on it.- Light flickering issue that I would assume is with the G-sync dropping below a certain frame rate. Guess I can fix this by getting a better video card.

Pros: -Great picture quality-my games run smooth-Looks great on my desk-Response time must be helping my gameplay-1440p is beautiful-slim bezel is sharp
Comment:
You would think that with the amount of this monitors cost there would be a film or cover protecting the monitor screen.Upon unboxing I discovered only a foam cover that was taped around the unit not really protecting the screen itself from scratching. Cons: -Holy Balls! is it expensive- Colours are nice but next to my wife's Imac (27"1440p IPS 2014) it still looks washed out. But for TN it seems nice

Pros: Gsync makes broken ass games like Assassins Creed unity run silky smooth
Comment:
Bought this eariler today, played games like BF4, Star Citizen Arena Commander, Assassins Creed Unity, Crysis 3, etc. All I will say is if you stay above 40fps or so all of these are butter smooth. Yes, acu feels smooth! I have a 4790k z4.5ghz, 16gb ddr3 ram, gtx 780ti OC to 1212mhz/+250 on mem. Turned off AA for ACU/Cry3 as it took fps too low. I love this screen, just dont sit too close or you start noticing pixels which can be distracting.

Cons: - Price (but you already knew that)- Bad viewing angles- Washed out colors- TN panel

Pros: - 1440p- Up to 144hz- Instant on- Simple controls/menu's- Great size- G-sync- External power brick- Highly adjustable stand
Comment:
Background: I am coming from a high-end A+ Grade 1440p IPS panel. Now with that out of the way, I can safely say this monitor is an amazing gaming monitor. It's impressive how clear everything is during fast motion scenes, where motion blur would normally occur.During normal operation, viewing the monitor straight on, the colors are okay. However if you are like me, and are coming from a high-end IPS panel, as soon as you shift angles, especially looking up at the monitor, you will realize how terrible the viewing angles really are. That stuff aside, the resolution is great, and the panel is lightning fast. For gaming straight on, I have never seen anything like it.G-sync is one of those things I never gave much thought, but I can safely say I would never want to go back. While playing games like Minecraft for example with widely varying frame rate, it is a game changer. Watching the on-screen fps range from 40-150 is amazing, when the experience feels smooth, as if you were locked in at a stable fps at all times. It really is that smooth. If you have the hardware, and funds for this monitor, I can highly recommend it, as long as gaming and everyday general use is your thing. First person shooters like BF4 running around 130fps on Ultra is something to be hold.

Cons: -None so far

Pros: -Incredibly smooth-Easy set-up-1440p n 144hz
Comment:
I got mine today. No dead pixel, no defect. (I guess I'm lucky)Everything run so smooth. Gsync is really a must have.I played a few rounds of BF4 on 2 GTX 780 Classified Hydrocopper and it's night and day versus my PB278Q. I also tried a few benchmark tool and they run so smooth.First minor cons is: People are right regarding IPS color versus TN color. Yes, I saw the difference but it's minor. Blue is blue, red is red.... it's not a big deal for me. As long I'm running game in 1440p n 144hz with gsync, Im happy.Second really minor cons is: Games must run in fullscreen mode for Gsync to be enable. It's not a big deal, just a minor thing to know.

Cons: So so rear control buttons and poorly located USB3.0 ports

Pros: Beautiul screen and amazing GSYNC
Comment:
Aside from the unusual and hard to see buttons that are behind the monitor and the USB3 HUB that I wish had been better located such as in the front, this is as good as it gets for a gaming monitor, amazing with GSYNC and beautiful monitor with thin bezel great stand. This is the best gaming monitor I have owned so far and 27" is ideal, I dont miss my 30"!

Cons: - It's still a TN panel- Price. Wow.

Pros: - Beautiful looking, well built monitor- Instant power on and very good menu system- G-Sync (the big one)- 144Hz- Very low response time- Viewing angles and image quality are exceptional for a TN panel
Comment:
If you are an avid gamer, and have the budget to purchase a $800-$900 monitor, then this is easily the choice to go with. It's TN, but for a TN the viewing angles and picture quality are amazing. I came from a Samsung SyncMaster S27A850D, and the image quality drop  was noticeable. However, it was much less noticeable than your average TN panel. That said, the 1ms response, 144Hz refresh, and G-sync more than make up for it. The level of smoothness you experience in games is a truly phenomenal experience with G-Sync. Graphical issues we've been used to for years no longer exist, as long as you remain above 30 FPS.I have had no real issues with viewing angle unless I slouch way down and look up, and stand up and look down. From the normal seated position, I haven't even noticed a problem.Be sure to adjust the brightness and contrast ratios immediately, as out of box they are likely to cause eye implosion. Also, be sure you have at least a mid to high level video card to take advantage of the 1440p and 144Hz refresh. I'd recommend at least a GTX 780 or GTX 970 for the best experience, or a GTX 770 for "high" level graphics.Awesome monitor for gamers. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-01-14 08:05 AM

Pros: Gsync 144hz 1ms
Comment:
Absolutely beautiful. At first I was hesitant at getting this because of the price but after using it for a while, I can never go back to a regular non-Gsync monitor. Anything over 75-80 fps is liquid smooth. Consider upgrading your system if you can only get 30fps at 1440p. This monitor is made for high frame rates and really shines when getting close to the 144hz limit.

Cons: g sync issues

Pros: 1440p, smooth, great picture!
Comment:
As Stated its a GREAT monitor if you can afford it..only issue i had was the current version of g sync causes some games to crash at start up, including the official nividia pendulum demo.... It was only 3 of my 100+ games but i was able to get them working by disabling g sync in the nividia control panel and using it as a normal monitor. Its good to make sure if your considering this monitor that you have a good graphics card to handle the high refresh rates.

Cons: - Price, of course- Hard to tell when G-Sync is working sometimes- Borderless-fullscreen doesn't work with G-Sync

Pros: - Excellent build quality- Fully adjustable stand- Small bezels, and screen is almost flush with the bezel's face- Looks awesome- OSD menu and buttons are the best/easiest to use that I've used or seen- Great resolution for gaming with a single GPU (4K needs way more power)- Colours, contrast, uniformity, blacks, whites, and even viewing angles are all far better than my VE278Q (viewing angles are minimally better though, as expected)- 144Hz and G-Sync both significantly improve this monitor for both gaming and regular use...everything is soo smooooth!
Comment:
Overall - this monitor is absolutely the best thing I've bought for my PC in years. Everything I do now, it feels so smooth! This is especially apparent on any Windows 8 "Metro" stuff - I almost want to use the Start Screen and Metro apps even more now just because of this.. it looks incredible. The colours and overall screen quality is VERY good for a TN panel - I haven't seen anything like it. The viewing angles can be bad, but if you're gaming, are you really moving around that much that it bothers you? Then stop moving. The resolution is perfect in my opinion - I can have two instances of Visual Studio open side-by-side, and be able to read and code on both (huge plus for me). Then for gaming, it really helps not having 4K when you don't have multiple ultra-highend cards to back it up. I have a GTX 670, and 2560x1440 works perfectly. I do experience slowdowns in certain specific scenarios (Diablo 3 - tons of enemies - 4 people in game, spamming abilities), but I have a feeling that has more to do with my non-overclocked i5-3570K.My favourite thing about it - the power button instantly turns it on (about 1 second if it's been off for a long while, otherwise instant). Makes a big difference in my daily use.The adjustable stand is also a HUGE bonus - being able to get to my ports and everything is much easier now that I've got this.As a note - this is mostly compared to my previous, best monitor - the VE278Q, as well as my work monitor, a Dell 2408WFP. I loved the VE278Q - way better than the 27" BenQ's I've had - but it's truly put to shame with this PG278Q next to it. The Dell is only slightly better in terms of colour reproduction - but otherwise falls very short for everything else.Buy this beast, if you want a truly great experience. And try Path of Exile on it...it almost feels like it's real now! Amazing monitor.
