Cons: -Not nearly as modular as previous Phanteks cases like Enthoo Primo/Pro/Luxe, as neither the mid-plate nor the top are removable-Big for a Micro ATX case-Placing of pump bracket under mid-plate not optimal as it hits any front mounted radiator, as is the mount on the side plate-Space for 360mm or 280mm radiator in front but not supported-Top shouldn't be used for intake for a radiator due to lack of dust-filtration and limited airflow-Side-mounted I/O

Pros: -Gorgeous, high-quality 2mm thick external aluminum panels-Extremely easy to dis-assemble-Foam noise insulation tape installed at external panel interfaces-Roomy with good cable management features like velcro strips behind the motherboard tray-Rear SSD mount with second usable mount where you can buy extra sleds from NCIX or Phanteks-High quality powder-coated interior-Optical mount and DDC/D5/Eheim pump bracket-3x3.5" disk trays under case mid-plate-Interchangeable front LED strip lights-Great documentation/manual included with excellent plastic box holding screws-Good watercooling/radiator support-Dust filtered at front and bottom-Well-placed and properly sized window-High quality Phanteks 200mm and 140mm fans included, sliding fan mount in the back
Comment:
The Evolv is a gorgeous case. I love the somewhat tall, relatively small, shallow footprint design. It is also extremely fast and easy to access the internals because the top, front, left and right side panels come off quickly and easy. Internally you can expect up to a 60mm thick, 240mm radiator to fit up top without causing much interference to the motherboard 8-pin CPU cable and RAM with normal profile heatsinks would easily fit. With fans installed in the front, you get about 312mm of GPU space from back to front, which means most 10.5" long GPUs can still be supported with a 45mm thick radiator there. Integration is fast and easy and the included velcro/hook-and-loop fasteners behind the motherboard tray help a lot even with thick 24-pin PSU cables, and there is a good 20mm or more of cable management space everywhere. There are also two possible SSD mounts back there for regular SSDs or even a thick 2.5" 2TB WD drive. You can even buy a 2-in-1 bracket by Phanteks to put up to 3 or 4 SSDs back there, which is brilliant. Grommet cable management holes are in good places, and a neat, clean build is very easy. Not much to complain about there. What I don't like is the mid-plate. First, it limits front radiator width to 125mm which means you can't put an XSPC RX240 in there because it is 130mm wide, nor can you fit a dual 140mm (280mm long) radiator in front because of it. The mid-plate should have been either completely opened up in the front, or the cut-out with the removable flap should have been made wider. In addition, with the bottom pump bracket, if you have a radiator in front, expect to only fit a small DDC or EK DCP pump down there. You will have to find another spot for a tube reservoir because it will get blocked by the mid-plate, so expect to use a small tube, fan mounted reservoir in the front, or use a single bay reservoir in the 5.25" rear facing optical bay, if the top radiator will allow it. It's a great case, but don't expect to fit massive water-cooling radiator in it. A 60mm thick 240mm up top and a 45mm thick 240mm radiator in front will be your best fit. On the bonus side, a 45mm thick 280mm radiator WILL fit up top so a Kraken X61 or Corsair H110 will be no problem whatsoever, just use them to exhaust not with the fans facing down, or expect to invest in fan filters and possibly mod the top for additional intake airflow.

Cons: - Only 1 SSD bracket included (2 mounts)- mATX prevents triple GPU builds (and make sure there is slot spacing on the motherboard for dual GPU builds, only 5 slots)

Pros: - Sleek, modern, not gamer-y look- Incredible build quality and materials- Pleasure to build in, great cable management- Included 200mm and 140mm fan with PWM hub are VERY quiet- 280mm AIO liquid cooler fits top, works great with PWM hub- Flexible, lots of options for non-standard builds
Comment:
Having owned a massive full tower for the last few years, I wanted to downsize to something more reasonable. This case fits the bill perfectly, modest size while supporting top-tier parts. Would make a great compact X99 case. I put in:Asus Gryphon Z97Intel Core i5 4690K w/ Corsair H110G.SKILL Trident X 16GB 2400MHzSapphire R9 290 Vapor-X OCSamsung 840 Pro & Crucial MX1002 x Seagate Barracuda 3TBCorsair AX860 PSUHighly recommend this case.

Cons: -There are no cons

Pros: -Very high quality aluminum construction-Plastic only used in LEDs, fan filters, etc. Not visible anywhere on exterior (unless you count the Front LED.-Quite silent-Supports a good amount of water-cooling-Fits a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970-Comes with above average fans and fan controller-Looks incredible-Price
Comment:
This chassis has it all- Great cable management, good airflow, great build quality, support for water-cooling and long GPUs all while keeping a $150 price point. Only quirk i found is the front fans use radiator-type screws, but phanteks was kind enough to send some over. Also I am not a huge fan of the drive plate but between the SSD mounts and Hard drive bays I was able to fit all i needed with room to spare. The way the side panels come off is great with the hinge and the top/front panels are very easy to remove. The fan filters catch a lot of dust and are also easy to clean. Cable management is a breeze with high-quality grommets, only thing to watch out for is your PSU length with this case, it will support very long PSUs but you may need to remove the bottom drive cage. This chassis feels like it's worth way more than I paid and I can't say how astonished I am with it, especially coming from a bitfenix prodigy. I really struggled to find something horribly wrong with this chassis but it truly is the full package.
