Good concept Bought very first unit thru Newegg and paid premium to get a PHS300 Version two hardware that support 4G and received that. Sadly, the unit died immediately after a day.RMA'd it back to Newegg and confident adequate, they sent me back an older Version 1 device that doesn't help 4G.Luckily, this time Cradlepoint is coming thru and seems to be agreeing to swap the unit for a Version two. Feedback to Cradlepoint: The PHS300 Version 1 model must just be referred to as the PHS300 model. The Version 2 must carry a various model quantity, like PHS400.Feedback to Newegg. Probably not your fault given that you're just pushing items, but, you have a image of a PHS300 Version 1 model which does not support 4G but your solution description says it supports 4G. - Very good Idea - Poor Execution by Cradlepoint- Reliability (Based on a Google Search, a typical theme with this unit)- Weak Signal Strength- Weak Battery Life- Poor Cradlepoint Help (thankfully, Newegg came thru)- Poor Product Identifcation (there are apparently a lot more than one PHS300 units; very same model # but 1 is 3G and the other is 4G) - go figure. I was capable to successfully power on the PHS300, configure it, test it with my cellular modem, and charge it. Right after charging the unit for 24 hours, I unplugged it and put it away. When I went to use, it was completely dead and unresponsive. Recharging nor resetting the unit did no good. No lights, no response; a brick. I known as Cradlepoint Buyer Service; the rep was apathetic. I've also been waiting for support of the ZTE AD3700 modem which initial hit the streets in Aug 2009 with Verizon; still no Cradlepoint help. |

Super easy to setup and use. I just plugged in my usb modem, turned it on, followed some simple directions, and thats it. Worked appropriate out of the box. None I use it mainly because I have a USB Web Stick (bell) and I wanted to hook up my tablet to the net, but I didn't want a different contract AND I wanted to preserve my USB stick for when I had function to do on my laptop.This device is best, I just turn it on and within 30 seconds or much less I have a strong signal to the World-wide-web. |

Tiny size. removable battery. Could not use it due to the fact Newegg shipped model that only works with Sprint modems. Newegg item description stated model PHS300. Cradlepoint internet site lists my 3G modem (VirginMobile Novatel MC760) as a supported modem. I could establish WiFi connection with PHS300 setup pages but there was no net access. When I tried to access world wide web I got an error saying I was making use of an unsupported device. Talked to Cradlepoint and they had me check model # in battery compartment. It was in fact a PHS300S rather than a PHS300. The PHS300S works only with Sprint modems. Newegg shipped a model diverse that what was ordered. I mainly purchased this for use with an iPad because I have Clear's 4G. With this sleek product, I can simply connect to my iPad on the road.
