Cons: price for outdated hardware

Pros: plug n play
Comment:
Simple plug n play ram, upgraded an old Toshiba Satellite that could barely run Windows XP and now there are no more page file slowdowns. My only gripe is that legacy hardware is never cheap like it should be.

I got this for upgrading my ReadyNAS NV+. It worked perfect. It improved speeds and stability quite a bit - my NAS has not had any services crash since the upgrade. If buying for a ReadyNAS NV+, remember to run the memory test 2+ times to guarantee it's stable. (Check their forums for more info)

Cons: None really - packaging is the size of their desktop memory sticks - but a little spacer for the SODIMM. Seems a waste of plastic?

Pros: It's good RAM, and haven't had any errors yet!

Purchased 2x of these modules for my (now ancient) HP Pavillion zv6170ca laptop - upgrading the 2x512MB to 2x1GB. All I can say is wow - the computer is a lot more responsive now when my wife uses it (as she is the type who opens multiple applications) and I don't hear the HD caching to the virtual memory very much any more. All in all very happy with the purchase.

Cons: Price (again)

Pros: Price, brand
Comment:
I ordered this for a customer who needed an older laptop to work better. I say that the price is good, because for like $80 they have a huge performance boost and didn't have to get a new machine. I say the price is bad, because it is expensive per gigabyte compared to something new.

Cons: No memeory serial number shown when tested with CPU-Z?

Pros: Easy to upgrade. No hassle.
Comment:
Updated the old Dell Inspiron 510m from 2x256M to 1G. Much fewer HDD read/write operations. Bottleneck now becomes the Pentium M. Don't expect adding memory capacity can get the old PC run as fast as the one with duo-core CPU.

I bought 2 of these 1GB sticks and it brought my old HP Pavillion dv1030ap back to life! It was worth every penny, since it was like getting a whole new computer for only $100.

Cons: Watch out for this on sale... $45 is a little high

Pros: Cheap & reliable!
Comment:
Bought this for an iBook G4 and upgraded to allow for 1.5GB of memory, and now even Leopard (OSX 10.5.8) runs smooth! This makes Tiger (OSX 10.4.11) run blazingly fast! Worth the price, and cheaper than most places selling similar "Mac only memory"... Crucial sells identical for over $50 USD, and OWC sells similar memory for around $50 USD... NCIX is the BOMB!

What can one say about a stick of ram, it worked great in a old 17" HP laptop DV8120ca. Brought it back to life and allowed me to up the amount reserved for the videochip. Also speeded up the boottime as would be expected.

Put this in my Dell 700m and it kept giving me BSD - blue screen of death. Just didn't want to deal with this so I returned it. I just bought 1Gig. Not sure if I needed to put in 2X1GB. Submit more description. Just make it up. This is all I remember 0X000000 all those memory errors when the BSD came up. The tech. guy who took back the memory didn't seem like he liked working there. What else can I make up....wow lowest one can give is 3 stars without review. Submit Review too short.

Cons: Installation for a novice

Pros: Affordable upgrade
Comment:
I have a 4 yrs Toshiba M40x. About 2 months ago it was giving me parity errors upon boot up. Before abandoning it, I thought for $45, replace the 512MB card with a 1GB to see what would happen. As others have already claimed, the performance is significant. Should have done it earlier. One warning, the first time I installed it. I thought the card was a dud. Removing the memory and trying again, I realize there was a little click when inserting the card. Once I did that, bootup as lickity split!

Pros: Price, Compatibility, Well Packaged for delivery
Comment:
I purchased 2 x 1 GB memory for my good but old Compaq R4155EA (R4000) notebook. My notebook originaly came with 2 x 500 MB units installed. One unit was easy to replace but for some reason Compaq located the second memory slot underneath the keyboard so that took a little more effort to upgrade. However, Compaq's online manuals took me through it step by step and I'm pleased to report that the new memory works really well with my system. Upgrading in this way has speeded up my notebook quite a bit and has extended the systems life a little longer in a very cost effective way. The memory was really well priced, delivered quickly, was well packed and could be tracked via UPS website. I couldn't ask for more really.

I bought these for my Dell 710m because I got a configuration a few years ago with only 512 MB of RAM. I was surprised I lasted a few years without this upgrade. Lately applications became sluggish and I needed to up the performance of my system before going to a conference. After installing them, the benefit was noticed immediately. Anyone hesitating should definitely pick these up and not suffer like I did.

I bought this to bump up my old Thinkpad T30. I had one bum ram slot, so I was limited only to one dimm now. Fortunately, it's able to take the 1GB and works great. A simple performance upgrade anyone should do if you've got an older laptop.
