Cons: slippery to grip, wish it had a silicone rubber coating
Pros: 112 MB/s write, red LED flashes when in use Comment:
Comes pre-formatted FAT32 32KB cluster size. Re-formatted it to exFAT 32KB to get around 4GB limit. Windows 8 x64, Samsung 830 SSD, writes at 112MB/s! Very similar results to Bill_D.Bought for $30 + tax - $8 MIR (Patriot usually takes 12 weeks).Outstanding! |

Cons: Cap is not attached so easy to forget/loseFeels quite warm to the touch after using it.
Pros: Good fast speedsSolid keychain slot Comment:
Nice aluminum look and feel, color is pleasant too. When plugged into my two desktops at home and work, I get consistent speeds ranging from 77 to 109 mbs depending on the type of files I transfer. Very happy with that. Cap is easy to lose... I lost mine already! |

Pros: Inexpensive when on sale.Nice aluminum case.Small and thin.Looks good.Super fast!!!! Comment:
Wow - as soon as I got home I plugged it into my Dell Inspiron 17R laptop and put it through its paces. Here's the thing - Patriot rates it for 10MB/sec write and 80MB/sec read so I expected no more.........but I got a LOT more!!!The ATTO test started slow at the small files but by the time it got to 32kB it was writing at 13MB and reading at 98MB - significantly faster than rated. But wait.....there's more!!By the time it got to 128kB files it was up to 94MB write and 251MB read!!!! This speed continued till the test was finished at 8192MB files. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. All I can figure out is that Patriot ran out of cheap nand and had lots of the more expensive stuff laying around.Now - here's the follow-up. I transferred a bunch of videos about 1 to 2 GB each - total 34 GB and it took under 5 Minutes to transfer them to the Patriot. I timed it pretty carefully and the write speed ended up at a little over 118MB/sec!!!!Copying from the Patriot 64GB stick back to another SSD drive ended up with a reading speed of 244MB/sec.Absolutely astounding performance for a 64GB USB3.0 thumb drive that is on sale this week for under 35 cents per GB after rebate. I wish I had bought a few more while I was there but the rebate is limited to 1.Just think about Apple and their $100 bumps to go from 16 to 32 to 64GB for NAND that is way slower than this!Get this while it's on sale - absolutely unbeatable. |
Best USB KEYA+++++++++++++ :)
