Cons: none

Pros: Very compact size, with HDMI and 64bit windows 7
Comment:
I bought this ACER PC few months ago and hanged it on the back of my 32 inches LCD TV. Browse internet and watch video clips with the come with wireless K/B and mice on a big screen is so much fun. The speed is acceptable and the built quality is no complain. NO REGRET AT ALL.

Great system despite some downfalls, but what does one expect for 300.00?Wifi module is garbage. It only uses 1 stream so you will at best get just over 54Mbit performance ie: 802.1G. I took the mini-pcie card and replaced my laptops 54M card with it.You can only install up to 3GB of memory. I think this is because of the memory controller is only 32bits wide. You may have to open up the computer and reset the bios for it to properly detect the new ram. Windows will see the 4Gb, but will only use 3GB. Memory performance is subpar as well. It doesn't matter how fast your memory chip is, it seems the memory controller is limited to about 2.5GB/s. My cheap Turion64 laptop gets ~3.5GB/sThe computer is capable of more than people think. It can be overclocked, but not recommended because it seems as there is no performance gain whatsoever. A wealth of games CAN be played on the machine, though most likely the heafty games will have to be played on low quality. It is also 3D capable and able to handle 3D content, which means you can watch your movies and play your games in 3D.

Cons: * I don't like the sound input are all in the front of the machine* Looks flimsy (I don't plan on fondling with it too much after I have it setup tho)* A lot of trial software!! It took me over an hour to uninstall all those Microsoft Works, Office, antivirus, etc

Pros: * inexpensive* Works out of the box (but needed to uninstall a lot of trial wares)* Very easy to setup* Very small

I got it for my dad to use. He mainly browses the internet and watches DVD occasionally. I ran a few 720 videos on it and they ran pretty smoothly. It's very good for what it's intended for.

Cons: No recovery DVD.

Pros: Slim, compact.

This is a good & solid machine, I bought it to use on my TV.However, the OS comes with this package is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. It causes few problems: 1. It won't be easy to get Chinese, Japanese, or other language (MUIs) to run on this OS. MUIs only comes with Win 7 Ultimate or Enterprise. I finally found a way to solve it after good amount of efforts.2. Most of my applications are 32 bit, will not work on this OS, includes my printer drivers...etc. I have to go online and download the 64 bits version for this OS.3. The HDMI settings, the default is full size and it flood out my TV screen. It took me a while to find where to adjust the size of screen.Overall, it's a good package with great price. But you better think if Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit is the right OS for you.

Cons: Software installed in it by Acer is annoyingHDMI sound issuesDriver support from acer is lacking

Pros: Great little PC, fast enough for HD videoTons of ports!Built in WifiWin7!

Overall, this box rocks beyond belief. The only thing that annoys me is the plethora of HDMI sound issues I'm having in Windows 7. I want Windows 7 on this computer for a reason, so don't XBMC me (Although I'm tempted!)I'd recommend this to anyone! But be forewarned, HDMI sound is a pain to get working properly.

Cons: Worthless N Wireless, a LOT of junk installed.

Pros: Inexpensive, compact, lots of features, W7 Prem instead of starter.
Comment:
Bought to use as a POS terminal, wirelessly. After cleaning all the garbage out it works well at that, but NOT wirelessly. The "N" wireless module performs worse than most G units and has a fair amount of lag and stutter. This is sitting right beside my DLink 655. Hardwire works perfectly, at least I am close enough to use it wired.Otherwise, decent value, although for $60 more there is an Acer mITX-based rig with a 2.7G Athlon II X2 available with a disk drive and 4GB. But at this config, it is the cheapest desktop I would recommend.Runs all common apps without problem.Don't buy if you need the built-in wireless to work well.

Cons: SPDIF on the front.

Pros: Small, Quiet, Cordless Keyboard and mouse
Comment:
I bought this and immediately installed XBMC Live on it. I downloaded a custom release which had all the settings configured to take advantage of the ION Graphics chip. It was available at http://www.xbmcfreak.nl/downloads/Once it was installed everything ran smoothly except for the audio output. I have it connected to an amplifier via SPDIF optical cable and some movies wouldn't output sound. If they did it was only in stereo instead of 5.1. I did some digging and have figured out most of my sound issues and I am very very happy. The keyboard and mouse that are included are wireless, but the keyboard is a multilingual one. Definitely not a deal breaker. They are great for operating the system from the couch. My only real issue with the unit is that the spdif output is on the front panel. I really can't understand why they would think someone would want a optical cable hanging out of the front of a computer. All in all I am very happy!

Cons: -Software package is a disgrace!!-Takes a long time to get rid of the junk.

Pros: Very small -- extremely quiet -- Fast enough for 2 core Atom cpu -- Faster ION graphics
Comment:
Computer = 5Software = 1This is a nice concept for a small computer and powerful enough for most desktop computing. Vesa mount for behind the monitor pretty much almost makes it invisible. You really have to put your ear very close to hear anything... can't remember having a quieter computer. OK... now for the software package: I hope Acer got paid a lot of money for putting all this junk on the hard drive. It took me hours to get rid of it and there were a few minor problems trying to do so. However as you proceed the boot-ups get faster and faster -- the way it comes it feels like a slug! I don't have much experience with Win 7, but I sure wasn't impressed until I spent some time with it -- still feels like a "fixed up" Vista though.Maybe I should send Acer a bill for wasting my time getting rid of the crap-ware :)Once you get over the frustration of cleaning up the software mess it really is a great little computer -- my wife is going to love it!
