Bought a set of this back in september when they were around $80 and has been working great ever since. Baffles my mind why they jacked the price up almost 60 bucks

Love the cooling fins, keeps the memory cool. They increased my computer' performance. My overall computer runs cooler , because the memory coolers eliminated a hot spot.

I installed this on my P45X3 Deluxe motherboard with an core 2 duo E8400. This ram Performed flawlessly playing most games i have it also kept the system completely stable while i was recoding divx movies to dvd. stable enough that i was able to game while it was recoding the divx files. Thats a pretty good sign that this ram can handle its own. ddr3 mem is still overpriced it was definately worth getting this ram but it hurt my pocketbook doing it. If you want stable high performance ram this is a sure thing

The shipping box arrived in good condition, the motherboard and CPU shipped in the same box were also in good condition. But the one of the ram sticks was bent and smashed. The plastic shipping shell from the manufacturer was cracked and split and dislodged the ram inside. Because the other products were untouched I have to assume that the personell handling the product to assemble the box to ship could easily see this and shipped it anyway.

I have this instaled on a M4A79T Deluxe, Phenom II x3 OC to 3.1Ghz (Big Typhoon Cooler) and an ATI HD 3780 512Mb DDR4. I got a subscore of 7.5 on Windows 7 and with this configuration im able to run crysis with ALL the settings on "very high" with an amazing 35fps, i said amazing cuz the video card, i didnt think it would be able to handle this game with this settings. Veredict: 100% highly recomended but if you have more budget get a 4gig Corsair :D

Second Patriot Viper purchase and I'm very pleased, thus far, with both sets. First pair is 4GB DDR2 1066 in my E8400 machine. New AM3 build: RAM posted as 1066 DDR3 due to 1.5 default voltage on mobo. Upped the voltage in bios to 1.7 and it posted at DDR3 1333 with 7-7-7-20 timings. Windows 7 WEI subscore is 7.4 for Memory Operations per Second. Wish it was a bit cheaper but no complaints otherwise. Sys: Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P mobo, AM3 X2 550 Phenom II Black Edition overclocked to 3.62 with Arctic 64 cooler (have not tried to unlock unused cores yet), 4GB Patriot Viper DDR3 1333 RAM, dual XFX 4770 in Crossfire (WEI = 6.4 without overclock on GPUs), WD 160GB Blue for OS and WD 500GB Blue for games. The weakest link in this setup is the hdds, which gives a 5.6 WEI subscore and 5.6 WEI Base Score. WEI Base Score equals lowest value subscore

I have been using it for sometime now with my 790i ultra sli board at stock values of timing/voltage. If you are willing to spend a few more bucks, go with the 1600 or 2000mhz patriot memory, especially if you plan to overclock. Heat sinks provided are good both for heat dissipation and for installation.

I have 4 (8 GB total) of these installed on a DP45SG motherboard. Windows Vista Ultimate x64 rates it at a 5.9. Very good RAM, although it seems like the cost compared to some other brands is much higher. I think it was still worth the purchase.

I have this memory installed on an Intel DP45SG board with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 processor and I get a Windows Experience Index of 6.9 for Memory Operations per second. I'm running Windows 7 Beta 32 bit. Needless to say, this RAM gets the job done. I'm going to buy another set when I upgrade to a 64 bit OS.

Installed these 2x2048 in a EVGA 790i MB with a Intel quad-core running vista x64 (clocked as recommended). The system (windows experience index) returns a score of 5.5 for memory operations per second. I would conclude that this memory is adequate but you do get what you pay for. The heat syncs do look way better than looking at straight green board, and I will probably end up ordering another pair since you really cant beat the price.

Cons: Price

Pros: SpeedRun cool
Comment:
I decided to take the plunge to Windows Vista + 4gigs so I figured I may as well go to a DDR3 motherboard for some sort of future proofing. These things are actually priced reasonably well for DDR3 at these speeds considering its a 4gb kit. I have them running at DDR3-1500 speeds at stock voltage and timings so there's no complaints here.
