Cons: Tall heatsinks

Pros: Good performanceAverage price

Running these in a P7P55D-E mobo with no issues right out of the box. I haven't overclocked yet, but they seem stable using the XMP mode on the mobo. The tall-ish heatsinks may cause fitment issues with large CPU coolers however. I am using the stock CPU cooler on my i7-860 so cannot comment for sure. This is my first time using Patriot memory and I would not hesitate to use again.

Cons: may take some tweaking to get them to work properly.

Pros: large heatsinks, decent overclocker, fairly cheap

Initially I had some trouble with this ram. As it turns out, it was the mobo not the ram. I could not get 8GB to run 7-7-7-20 s 1600Mhz on a 790i digital, but 4GB worked fine. This ram OC's well. I had 4GB of them running 1800Mhz with stock 7-7-7-20 timings. I had them running 6-8-7-18 s 1600Mhz. I even tried these on my x58 sli mobo and all 8GB worked fine. Overall, very decent ram at a decent price.

I have one kit installed on my DX48BT2 motherboard and it works flawlessly. Apparently the DX48BT2 is fairly picky when it comes to RAM, but this works! I'm happy!

I stuck 8GB of this ram into my XFX 790 ultra sli mobo & only had to make one change. went into the bios & changed the voltage to 1.9V & everything has been stable and smooth. no other changes necessary. I was concerned with heat as I'm only air cooling & i have 2 - 1GB - 9800GX2 video cards crammed into this midsized case, but even with fallout 3 or oblivion cranked up to the highest possible settings, i'm getting no overheating of this ram. would recommend. happy with product.

Replaced my 1333 memory with this stuff and have no complaints. Games play smoother and benchmarks are higher. I haven't tried to overclock yet but I will.

Runs at 1850 mhz all day long at stock latency. Running 24 hours for months now. I recommend the corsair dominator fan for cooling though.

Awesome RAM. Worth every penny. I bought this to replace the 8 gigs of OCZ Platinum DD3 in my Vista-64 system. The OCZ RAM was causing sporadic lock-ups on the nForce 790i MB with no overclocking. I've burned the new Patriot RAM in and this problem is totally gone now, even with all RAM slots populated and everything overclocked. The system is blindingly fast and runs very cool. I recommend this RAM highly. For you installers, remember to set the RAM voltage correctly on the MB!

Installed a matched set on an Intel DX48BT2 motherboard using the black DIMM sockets ('B' Slot) instead of the blue sockets('A' Slot). This memory configuration resolves the memory issues associated with using Duel Channel DDR3 on this particular motherboard. Works great !

Very expensive, but worth it for the enthusiast. The heatsinks on this thing look awesome too. Two thumbs way up!
