Displays high resolution pretty swiftly for a six series Nvidia card.Nice crisp video. Does not consist of any brackets for "low profile" configuration. Even with alternate brackets the RGB cable connecting the port to the card is also short.

affordable, pretty speedy, cool running none yet This is a great low end video card at a fantastic price. For a rapid fix for non active x compliant cards this fits the bill.

It worked, sort of. It scored reduce in Windows 7 expertise rating than the Radeon 9550 with 256 mb of ddr1 memory. This was supposed to be a upgrade, but ended up getting a downgrade. I tryed this card in two seperate machines and it scored a 3. for Aero Expertise and three.2 for Business and gaming. The Radeon scored 3.6 and three.four respectively. My wife doesn't do any gaming and only makes use of the personal computer for her schoolwork and checking her e-mail, so the Radeon will operate fine for her till her machine dies. It is a Pentium 3.0Ghtz 486 with server level cooling that is 7 or 8 years old and still running as sturdy as day 1, so I consider it will last a little longer. I was burned by nVidia when Windows Vista came out and they dragged their feet on the nForce three chipset problem with duo core processors. I thought I would give them 1 far more chance, but I will never ever purchace a different nVidia item again. five stars to newegg for their client service, -4 stars to nVidia for poor good quality goods.

Operates out of the box, never had a difficulty with it. Vista score is like a three., expense:performance is higher (but that's mainly because its AGP) I've had this card in a Rosewill R379-SM that has a 300W PSU and I never had a issue with it. 300W is additional than sufficient to deal with this card. The drivers have been also steady. The person who wrote a overview about this saying that 300W was not sufficient had some other compatibility challenge. Mine has been running for more than a year now, just believed I'd clarify.

It works with Windows 7 Aero. It was an upgrade for a build that is numerous years old with AGP and PCI slots only. It permitted the newer games to operate with it. It is a fantastic, cheap repair to run some newer games and Aero. Worth the cost for an upgrade to an older technique. Uncomplicated set up on XP and effortless upgrade to Aero None, if you only have an AGP slot to function on. Don't anticipate to run mega intensive games on it. It's constantly a hard get in touch with to spend funds on an older method upgrade vs. creating a new technique with a new Motherboard. I try to not tear my hair out optimizing the cost-rewards of one particular option vs. yet another. The fantastic component is this option just worked. No hassles with XP or Windows 7.

I had to install these into a couple older computers that required an AGP card for Dual Monitor support. Windows XP SP3 effectively detected the card and automatically downloaded the appropriate driver. Dual Monitor help was crisp, clear, and uncomplicated. none Installed two of these cards in an workplace atmosphere.

Picked this up for a buddy, his old card was a lot slower but didn't have the funds to finish his new develop at this point so was a very good standby. AGP is quite nicely dead. AGP cards are nonetheless cheap and can be valuable but if you are developing a new Computer get a PCI-E card.

Drops correct in and functions with windows 7. Terrible card for anything other than standard documents. Tried to play Counter Strike Supply on its lowest feasible settings which is a really low end game and i got worse Frames Per Second than a 64mb DDR card. Absolute waste of cash for me. Dont acquire if you want to do something that entails graphics.

came with a low profile kit. and might function if your psu is more than300w. Installed in a Rosewill R379-SM case with a 300w psu running win-xp it crashed each and every time when the newest drivers were installed. this occurred with a Intel Pentium 4 . and amd athlon 2800. then i tried it in a laptop or computer with a 500w psu and it worked fine. Manufacturer Response:Sorry to hear you had problems, there is the possibility that something else could have been occurring other than a power connected concern. Please get in touch with our support and start out a ticket with the particulars of the crash you were experiencing, we may possibly be in a position to aid get the card working in that technique. Delivered on time and was recognized upon install with no difficulties. Installed new drivers, removed old ATI drivers and operating just fine. Put beneath load after install with no issues. No GUI conrol interface on driver disk included with the card. Will Look on Invidia website for 1. Initial expertise with a fanless 512 card. Quite shocked with this cards performance so far. Added a 20mm graphics card fan just for additional cooling but no need, functions fine without having 1.

Dedicated video versus onboard video. Tried this card out with WoW and it was acquiring about 12 fps on the low video settings. But hey, it's AGP 8X on a 64 bit transfer channel Low profile is not as tiny as it sounds. Not sure if this could fit in my shuttle box but it fits in a mid tower fine.
