runs very cool (around 34 degrees) but pretty bumb how it doesnt have a six pin power connector so it has to get all of its power from the motherboard. so make sure you have a good motherboard

All my games that i've beaten already feel like new games with new challenges, now that i have a card that can keep up with them. Can't believe i paid only 100 bucks for this card. would buy again, multiple times.

For the price the performance is top notch. No issues with any games, openGL, or rendering. Runs quiet until the card is taxed by 3D app and then fan noise is VERY loud and runs hot. I guess it's not an issue with the speakers up and probably typical but make sure the PC is well ventilated.

this card is the bomb. I always go with this company, and I haven't had any problems with this card. However, my system is getting old, and I dont play any high end games on my desktop, so I dont really know how it performance in that situation. However, my last card from this company lasted 5 years before it died, and I did do a lot of gaming with that one.

So far I haven't had a good experience with this product. Put simply - it doesn't work and my computer doesn't POST. That said, support from XFX has been responsive and I have an RMA number. The product has been sent back so hopefully I get one that works!

We gave this to my son as a Christmas present. He uses the computer to watch movies and play WOW. He is very happy with the performance in both areas. I have noticed several complaints about XFX customer support. I have not used them in over a year and things change but I buy only there video cards because of the response I got when I did have a problem.

I've been needing to upgrade from my 6600 for about a year. Finally took the plunge and I'm glad I did. This card is beefy enough to handle the games I play with the Video Settings all the way up. Lord of the Rings Online Champions Online and a couple other games that are in Closed Beta at the moment. The card is nice and quiet until I encounter exceptionally heavy graphic effects in-game, but even then it is much much more quiet than my old 6600. Two Thumbs Way Up!

Cons: even at 55nm its alot of heat for a single slot heatsink to handle.

Pros: Single slot height and no power connector needed.
Comment:
Still the most powerful GPU from nvidia in a single slot height, without the need for additional power. Running mine in a HTPC, more then fills my requirements. However i underestimated the amount of heat this card produces. The kind of new/slightly updated/rebranded card that is the GT 240 would probably of been a better choice for me with its 40nm die shrink, but hindsight is 20/20.

Cons: Well it's an old model so that doesn't really count.

Pros: Great card. Reliable from XFX and fast for the price.
Comment:
This card was a replacement for my friend's fried ATI card. As far as we can tell, this is the best Nvidia card we can get for the price. We could've went ATI but he didn't want to so...

Good card for the money. Enough power to run most games decently. Fan is a little louder than I would like. Other than that, great deal.

This card is literally a steal. The quality of the video is fantastic - Vegas 2, Crysis: Warhead, Arkham Asylum, CoD 5, they all run wonnnnnderfully. Intelligent card, too - I have an obscure widescreen monitor, and the Radeon I had previously had issues displaying in the native resolution; this has not been a problem with the 9800 at all. This is a big fat sexy video card. If you're on the fence, buy it. You will not be disappointed.

ive had this card since jan 29th this year, ive been able to run everything i buy on high settings, i run crysis on high at a 1920x1080 reso on a 23 inch monitor with good fps and no overheating, the card can run a bit hot on idle but gets cooler when running any sort of game, havent overclocked it yet because i havent found a game i need to overclock for yet.

I usually don't like to give reviews on a product unless I've had it for 6months or more. :) Gotta make sure its durable right? In anycase, I'm gonna review this one... This is the second card I purchased for my son's gaming system and we SLI'd this bad boy with the first one. This one didn't have the power pin on the card, but the first one did. We observed on rare occasions, ''nv4_disp display driver has stopped working...'' and it wouldn't even be during gameplay. Anyhows, upgraded the vid drivers to the lastest and so far, its been rock solid! I was watching my son play WOW in SLI mode on his 23in monitor and all I have to say is WOW! Registered both vid cards with XFX so yes, love that lifetime warranty ''warm fuzzies''!
