Having had two LG Blu-Ray writers in the past and having had issues with firmware and blank media I decided to go with the highly praised Plextor. It has not let me down. I have used 4 brands of media both 25gb and 50gb and not one coaster yet. You get what you pay for and this unit exceeds the quality of the LG in every category. Speed, reliability, quality of build and customer service. As usual they got it to me quickly and I am very pleased with my purchase.

First Blue Ray in the House ! I purchased this item mainly to Burn in Data ! and Watch Blue Ray movies on my 1080p Monitor ! So far the Player is running great ! I haven't burnt anything as of yet ! but Plextor never made anything cheap ! so I am confident this one will be a great addition to my PC. I found the Blue Ray Blanks a little pricey but like anything New ! Prices will eventually come down ! Installation was easy. comes with a nice suite of burning software and a nice CyberLink BR player. Buy this with confidence ! Norm

The picture and sound quality it produces is stunning. I'm a film maker so it's very important to put my HD films on Blu-ray. I've owned a few DVD burners but nothing in today's market can compare even close with this player. It's very durable, quiet, loads Blu-rays very quickly, so the long loading times have finally come to an end, plus it's loaded with features. If you're looking for a new player or want to upgrade, look no further. I know there're cheaper players on the market, but you always get what you pay for. Even if you don't need or want all of these features, seriously start thinking about your picture and sound quality for your home theater experience. I've watched movies, both DVD and Blu-ray. I can say honestly, I've never experienced anything like this! It out performs my current 1,300 Blu-ray player! Bottom line, if you want the top of the line Blu-ray player in today's market, this is it!
