I bought this to solve the problem of awkward cabling caused by those sata power connectors in the middle of the power supply cable. If your sata disk is recessed into the disk bay mounts, it can be difficult to bend the power supply cable to push the power connector in to where the disk is. This product solves that problem very well for 2 of the 3 connectors on the Y cable. The only thing I did not like was the length of the joint male/female connector that connects to the sata power cable. By the time you connect the power supply cable to the connector, it's almost 2 inches long and sticks out straight from the disk, and (at least in my case) I could not shut the case door. So don't count on using all 3 of the connectors to power 3 disks -- I had to leave the M/F connector off a disk, and tucked away so I could get my case door closed.
