Cons: NONE!

This is a good keyboard for $40 or so, its lit up so u can even use it in complete darkness(if your the kind of person that looks at there keyboard when typing).

Cons: -no programmable keys

Pros: -nice light up keys-iirc you can mod the leds to display a different colour
Comment:
This keyboard gives the looks and aesthetics of a gaming keyboard but none of the features. For a basic keyboard though, its very nice and the backlit keys make my nightly computing more productive.

Cons: -No media buttons (play/pause, stop, etc.)-No programmable features

Pros: -Tactile-Looks good with the back-light-Wrist rest is comfortable and adequately adjustable-Volume controls
Comment:
A very good keyboard that I would recommend to most, but it lacks any programmable features. The original Eclipse however (which I've owned for a few years now also) DID have a programmable keypad that could be plugged in and the software worked well, although I'm not sure why Saitek removed this (you can still see the plastic slot for the port, although it is blocked off now.) For a basic keyboard, it looks nice, feels great, and most things needed. I'd love to see a play/pause button.

Cons: No frills - good or bad is up to youpaint starts to wears off after a year of heavy use

Pros: Good backlightingStandard layoutGood key responseLooks good
Comment:
Used this for a year, very good "no frills" keyboard with good backlighting and the usual media keys. Having mute right at the top right comes in handy. The silver paint on three frequently used keys has worn off to a degree (shift control and alt). If you don't need tons of macros or special functions I highly recommend this keyboard.

Cons: Very short life span

Pros: Nice layout
Comment:
This keyboard was great while it lasted.... just outside of the warranty period, after 2 years of use, it just stopped working. initially few of the keys will not work and then the whole keyboard goes MIA. Look for others with the same issue. There is another review that claims that the problem are the leds, that burn the wiring of the keyboard.I think I'm going to stay away from this brand in the future, and chose more reliable ones. A 65Dollar keyboard shouldn't be a coaster in 2 years time.

Cons: Too costy for the price offered.. so dont forget to PM

Pros: Looks good overall, the silver keys turns black in the dark
Comment:
I recently got this and had to plug it in and try it... it works great... the only downfall to this is that the keyboard seems a lil cheap for the price.. the spacekey leans towards one side or the other if u push it at the sides... other than that.. its great for a lit keyboard.. if u have a certain "theme" for your computer set (like mine.. is blue/black/silver) than this would be excellent for that "Theme". DO not forget to price match though.. happy shopping :)

Cons: -Saitek's poor quality. Dead F10 button after 2 years... and never using it to... who hits F10 anyway?I'm serious, I want to know hehe :)

Pros: -Comfortable, length adjustable writst wrest with a nice, curved shape-No painted on letters to rub off-Large, well shaped space bar
Comment:
This keyboard served me faithfull for two years before it started giving up the ghost. It has been replaced with my new 2nd Gen G15 which definately has the edge on quality and funcionality. A dead F10 on a two year old keyboard just can't be forgiven, especially when it's required to enter NVRaid config during bootup after reformating a computer... But that's a whole other nightmare :)Ultimately I can't recommend this. The wrist wrest is definitely more comfortable on this Saitek as compared to 2ndG G15, but the glaring evidence of poor manufacturing means longevity is severely compromised. You are making a rather large investment in a keyboard, don't you want it to last more than a couple of years?

Cons: Lack of engineering inside burns inner keyboard, flimsy wrist rest, short cord.

Pros: Back lighting, volume keys, brightness setting, plain keyboard layout, just the right touch in buttons.
Comment:
BUYER BE-AWAREThis keyboard was great when I got it. Very nice back lighting with the plain keyboard layout was just what I needed. The wrist rest didn't want to stay in place so I had to go without it. I can turn volume up and down really quick with the nice sized and spaced volume buttons. Did I mention the plain keys layout? That is really nice. A bit of a hefty price but with good intension. But, a few years later I am finding a crippling issue that will forever end my purchasing of Saitek. One day, out of complete randomness, I look at my computer screen and things are popping up and getting typed into all over the place. I don't know what the heck is going on. I jiggled the cord and unplugged the keyboard and plugged it into another plug. Nothing changed the state so I had to use another keyboard. That was six months ago. Now I thought maybe it had some time to think about what it had done and I was going to try it again but this time on another computer. Same thing. BUT this time I took it apart and had a look. From what I saw it seems that if you where to have this keyboard on, which it is when the computer is, the LEDs believe it or not actually burn the inside plastic wafer board. This keyboard has a different design then most others I have fixed. A good one. A real engineering feet really when it comes to keyboards. But the LEDs take the cake. It would have been all fine if they had designed it with the LEDs under the inner clear plastic pieces or even the wafer boards with spaces around the LEDs so that no internal wiring would be burned out. Now I have a keyboard just out of warranty that types randomness all over my screen. A keyboard with the high expectations that consumers have on a name brand like Saitek should not be having issues like these until many years down the road, maybe 5 or 10 or even 15 like other brands that I currently have to resort to. That is why it gets a 2 and I'm not to sure I would go back lit again. Maybe if I can have a look under the hood before I make my commitment.-Jake Sherlock

Great keyboard! Allows you to turn off LED's, turn the brightness down, or to have them fully lit. Letters are easy to see at night despite backlit bleeding. Highly recommended!

Cons: Keys are starting to get a little bit more clonky. SOME of the keys are not very well illuminated.

Pros: Looks good in the darkKeys are alot more quiet that my zBOARD. Rist wrest is perfect!
Comment:
Overall I am generally pleased with the keyboard... It's an OK keyboard and for the price you can't go wrong with a illuminated keyboard. My next purchase however will probably be with Razer, I'm starting to like their products.

Cons: Poor quality.Easily broke after minimal use.Keys started to lose sensitivity after just a couple of months under normal use.

Pros: Pretty cool designBack-light is great for when the lights are off.
Comment:
While the price is fairly cheap for a back-lit keyboard, the quality is not worth it. I've had $20 basic Microsoft keyboards last much longer than this one. The design is very luring but the quality itself is poor.

Cons: - The backlights on the small number/symbol keys can't be seen clearly

Pros: - Standard keyboard layout- Comfortable wrist rest- Adjustable backlight
Comment:
Got this keyboard when it's on sale. Standard keyboard layout and there was no hassle to get used to it. Keys are not in top quality but well worth the price. Retractable wrist rest is a plus. The backlights are bright on big letter keys but not very clear on the number and symbol keys (~, !, o, #...). If you don't mind the small details then it's not too bad.

Cons: No programmable buttons or spare USB slots that I can find.

Pros: Very comfortable despite the hand-rest being hard plastic, great in the dark and doesn't take up too much space.
Comment:
This is a great general-use keyboard, I actually find it more comfortable than my $100 microsoft keyboard, though it lacks programmable buttons and the over-all convenience of some more expensive keyboards. If all you need is a comfortable, back-lit keyboard then this is the one for you.

this Keyboard is very nice, using it in the dark is easy mode, for people like me who play in dark, you can adjust the keyboard illumination, set to: medium, High or no-light.I like it, no prob, no media key, just the basic, personally I don't uses any Media key, so this keyboard is very usefull.

Great keyboard compared to my stock one. The backlight is bright enough. Any brighter and it would be a distraction during gaming. I like the fact that it can be switched off during the day when its not needed. Good buy when on sale

Cons: -Wrist Support attachment isn't very sturdy

Pros: -Looks Great-Well Lit-Quite Keystrokes
Comment:
If you are looking for a basic illuminated keyboard, this thing is sweet. Basic (no macro keys or dials), but well built (besides the limp-wristed wrist support, which can be removed). It's well lit and the key letters, w,s,a,d and such show up great, so if you're a late night WoW junkie, it's perfect.

Cons: The silver keys are a bit too silver.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful blue key-lightingGorgeous feel to the keys; responsive yet gentle; also quietDarned cute
Comment:
I've just brought this creature home. It's the first piece for a whole new system, but this evening I have it plugged in on my old system.I wasn't prepared for the "silver keys" to be SILVER. YES< SILVER, FOLKS; THAT'S WHAT THE MAN SAID. Not brushed aluminum; and definitely not hyperbole for soft gray. THESE KEYS ARE SILVER. Do you think you understand? WHAT IS IT ABOUT "SILVER" YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND?!? Hee hee. No problem. They look okay. Not expensive; but okay.So I'd say the keyboard comes into its own in the dark. But my girlfriend says she likes the silver keys, so I'm okay on that. Just beware. Remember when kids painted plastic model airplanes? SILVER.The board itself is black. It's a nice, soft, velvety black. Kind of sexy. Migod, it is just occurring to me that I may have bought the "Saitek Harlot" instead of the "Saitek Eclipse" model. Oh well. My bad.I love this keyboard! You want a keyboard with personality? It is a combination of personality, attitude, sexiness, softness, s-m-o-o-t-h-n-e-s-s, and a surreal kind of whimsical charm. This keyboard goes where no keyboard has gone before. It is that kind of keyboard. It is shaped like a bone. I think they dug it up someplace. It's radioactive, and so it glows. Don't worry; you didn't want babies anyway; we're overpopulated. Did I say I love this keyboard? Put a bone on your desk. A glowing bluebone. Type in the dark. Ooooh, it is SO sexy to type in the dark. Whoever thought ASDFG could ever spell SINFUL? That's the kind of keyboard this is. It's not the kind of keyboard you take home to show your mother. No no. This is the kind of keyboard that comes out at night. Saitek Harlot. The only truly trashy keyboard. Take one home today, and type in the dark. Growl. [Hey: What th--?!? I never typed a word of this!! My keyboard did it all by itself!! Say, just what kind of keyboard IS this?!?!](j/k 10 out of 10. Gorgeous.)

Cons: Num lock, scroll lock and caps lock leds are a bit bright

Pros: Large key faces, illuminated, basic
Comment:
I like this keyboard becasue of its big key faces and illumination and I love it becasue it's basic and doesn't have a bunch of special keys that I'd never use and enlarge its size. The feet on it will make sure that it doesn't move at all, this sucker stays put plain and simple. The resistance that the keys give is perfect and the sound from key presses is subtle.. just enough so that you know you've pressed one and no more.Highly suggest this one to anyone.

Comment:
Wow got this one on sale and will never go back to a regular keyboard. Keys are very responsive and feel great. Better than my old micro$oft web one I was using before in my opinion. Really like the ease of illumination settings: just hit the button and you go from high to low then to off. Incredible product and it sure helps to finish off this system. BUY ONE!
