The daytime video is decent but the night time vision outside is only good for about 15ft these camera's would work best inside the night vision cannot see even across the street also the 6mm lenses gives you a very narrow view and is not adjustable a 3.6mm would be better in some locations.

well as long as you keep them 10 feet off the ground ( no higher) the night vision is decent a little snowy but still can see. day time quality is wonderful i purchased an 8 channel q-see and 500 gig WD green hd , if your on a budget these will be great,

No need to spend $$$$ buy these or compare with Sony or any other camera out there. Spec's of this camera are very close to high end camera. I am very happy and good price
