Worked fine for awhile. I Plugged and unplugged it 5 to 6 occasions, but the last time I utilised it, No Signal, it feels like the contacts are no longer clicking into place like they utilized to. I have tried several combinations of recognized functioning cables, but I get no signals. It's not worth sending back, so it's into the garbage. |

Affordable, disassembles very easily Not Cat5e, not compatible with all TIA-968-A spec (non-keyed) eight-position plugs. Had to replace plugs on Generic and Linksys brand net cables with Ideal pn 85-346 for dependable operation. Applied 2 of these for a POE injector/splitter combo. Each had make contact with engagement problems prior to replacing plugs (see Cons above). |

It connects two RJ45 cables to make one longer RJ45 cable, and it performs just fine. Not free. I'm not positive if some of the other reviewers who may possibly have had issues maintaining their cables connected with this coupler are getting problems with their cables or not.Might be a excellent idea to give them a verify, no?I also have no notion if this benefits in a reduced signal pass-by means of (not employing it on my setup, it was for a customer). |

Operates As Described, Simple, Less expensive Than Brick & Mortar Retailers Expense Want they expense a small bit less, But it is nonetheless more affordable then re-producing or buying all new cables. |

all I can say is that it functions there is not much to it none I had back surgery and we did not have wireless net so I purchased this couple to make longer run of cat 5 to my front area so I had a lap leading I could get on the net from my easy chair. |

Worked for the goal I necessary As with any coupler, does add a slight quantity of noise into the connection. So long as your total cable run is below 50 meters, you shouldn't have a challenge. |

No loss of speed or strength of signal. Low profile is exactly what I will need, no bulky plastic. Secure fittings on inputs. hideous brown/yellow plastic that looks like its from 1975. The guts are contained by a plastic casing which pops apart into its two component pices on occasion. You just have to snap them together again I would absolutely advocate this coupler. inexpensive and hihg performing! |

Low-cost It is not certified for Cat5. BELKIN has other couplers that meet Cat5 performance specifications. They have part numbers CNP001WaedS (white plastic) and R6G055-H (metal). |

Was in a position to use an existing spare patch cable to extend a pre-installed cable by 6 feet. Didn't have to buy a longer cable and re-run it, saving time and funds. Not Cat5E certified, but it works |

Establishes a 100mb connection no problem. My runs are comparatively brief solid core Ethernet. In all probability wouldn't function for 1000mb, but Belkin makes an RJ45 compliant compatible connector that would in all probability do the trick. None. |

Connects two cables together (MtoM)Extends cables that were cut prior to measuring (stupid)Actually works at Gigabit speeds (although not rated for this) It surprises me that they maintain creating couplers that are not even built to cat5e specs. Then again I probably shouldn't be employing one... It works and quicker than expected. Total cable length is under 40ft and I am utilizing cat6 with both cables. |

Lets you run a LAN cable from your router all the way out to your garage so you can watch Burn Notice when the misses is angry at your existence. Cheap plastic casing. Had to superglue the factor shut. Use a little tougher plastic, have some surface texture to it, a couple LED's on it, and some pseudo military logos and you've got a lan celebration toy.
