Cons: -None

Pros: -Factory Overclocked to 960 MHz NOT 880 MHz-Runs all games I played at max settings at 1680 x 1050
Comment:
The card is factory overclocked to 960 MHz. In addition, it had an 8-pin and 6-pin power instead of two 6-pins. I believe this is only on newer revisions. If you don't have an 8-pin power cable, an adapter is included. Card also has a dual BIOS switch. If you plan on overclocking it further, be sure to increase the power limit, otherwise AMD Powertune will decrease the clock speed further than the stock clock speed when the power limit is exceeded.

Cons: None to speak of.

Pros: Fast, stable, 384 bit memory bus, 3GB of vram.
Comment:
This is a fantastic video card. Shocking enough, I actually ended up getting one with an HD 7970 PCB, and the 8 pin + 6 pin connectors. This video card just rips through games at 1920 x 1080P resolution. The 384 bit bus, and 3 gigs vram definitely helps to obtain great frame rates when using high amounts of AA. I just cant recommend this video card enough. It is definitely worth a 5 star rating. I had an MSI GTX 660 Ti, but I sold it to a customer, and got the MSI HD 7950 instead. I am glad I made the switch.

Cons: Not the original revision that I believe is probably better

Pros: Alright coolingDecent noise levels but could be better
Comment:
It seems the current model shipping is the dual 6 pin connector Boost Edition cards. It's no longer the 8pin+6pin 7970 PCB card. Card is actually noticeably louder than my GB Windforce card though when maintaining the same temperature (regardless of it being top or bottom).

Cons: -Could have better memory overclocking :)

Pros: -Perform good-Overclocking-Silent-AMD Driver (I do like them)
Comment:
This card rocks. When I got it, it wasn't the PCB of a HD7970, but it was a boosted edition, so 960mhz onthe GPU.I've been able to overclock the GPU to 1200mhz, without increasing the voltage, as the card came with 1.2/1.25v.For the memory, I can run 3dmark 2011 at 1400mhz (instead of 1250) but I get a wierd screen on BOINC calculation, so I guess 1350mhz would be the max. Still quite good. I put the fan at 45% and it is silent. never goes over 82C overclock on Furmark.it can run Crysis 3 at max detail, 2x AA. I recommend this card!

Cons: Con's to AMD in general, be sure to install latest drivers (see summary)

Pros: Excellent performance per dollar*Excellent performance per watt(power consumption)Solid overclocking performanceOne of the best high-end single card performanceTemperature and fan noise are ok
Comment:
Be sure to install the latest drivers from AMD (12.11 beta as of January 2013) as older drivers seem to be causing rendering artifacts and glitches, that and the bundled overclocking software, MSI Afterburner, seemed redundant as of the current video drivers which already includes AMD Overdrive.*Bought this during Black Friday sale for $300 and it came with 3 free games courtesy of AMD's Never Settle promo, which by the way were: Sleeping Dogs, Hitman: Absolution, and Far Cry 3.

Cons: fans get incredibly loud even when spun up tio only 60%, luckily though, even overclocked in line with online reviews, the fan never spins that high.

Pros: Fantastic performance, great looks, easy overclock, near silent when the fans are down.
Comment:
Far Cry 3 at 2560x1440 with ultra settings (4xMSAA) plays smooth and looks unimaginably good. Easy overclock in line with reviews. Silent to quiet, use depending.

Cons: A bit noisy when heavily tasked.

Pros: Very powerful, every game on ultra - no visible freezes, always on 30+ fps.
Comment:
All games 1920x1080 ultra settings play without any problems. Skyrim hd edition 50+ fps, Mechwarrior online 35+ fps, WOT 100+.Very satisfying video card! The only downsize is that when under heavy stress, the noise levels increase significantly, but that is to be expected.

Cons: - It's not an 7990....

Pros: -Low noise in my Full tower thats already a Jet plane.-Good performance- OC it, dare ya.- No driver issues with me, with all the AMD Products Ive had.
Comment:
Swapped a single 6950 for this, certainly an upgrade, once BF3 Dies out Ill be getting a second one for Crossfire.

Cons: - Irritating COIL WHINE.... when gaming even at low fps or with vysnc/frame limiter. Changing voltage and clocks didn't change anything.- Cooler could be considered loud above 60% for some people, I personally didn't mind at all.- Only 1 dual link DVI, this means you need to buy active mini display port to dvi/hdmi for a third monitor setup.

Pros: - Great performance > Running BF3 at 55-60fps with 2x MSAA on 27" 2560x1440- Great cooling- Voltage unlocked- Alot of OC headroom- Ran stable at 1043mV 1050/1575 using +20% power limit, haven't tried much higher.- Custom PCB with 6+8 power connectors (apparently better overclockers than previous model or reference boards)

UPDATED REVIEW:Received my exchange/RMA replacement and no more annoying coil whine now!! I would have to say that the "new" card doesn't overclock as much as the first one but still offers pretty good results. Only issue is that its running about 5-10 degrees higher than the original one. But after replacing thermal paste, which is easily done, its now running below 70-75 even at 100% useage with fans at 70% or below. Overall a pretty good bang for your buck if your lucky enough to get one without coil whine. GTX 660 and 670 still not worth the 100$ more imo. If you are running a 2560x1440 resolution, this does the job ok until next gen video cards are out. INITIAL REVIEW:Was previously using 6950s in CF, and was tired of the CF issues and micro stutter (having to play games on a single card to avoid those and losing half the peformance)..Spent many many many hours researching for the best performance for 2560x1440 for mainly BF3 and WoW without wanting to waste too much cash on these "old" series AMD 7xxxx and Nvidia 6xx waiting for next series. Finally decided to pull the trigger on the best bang for your buck, the 7950 and going with a good company, MSI. Still think its a great choice right now, until good GTX 670s drop  prices but unfortunately mine had the infamous coil whine to disruptive levels. Absolutely no way I will endure this. Already have RMA approved, will send it back on Monday, hopefully replacement wont have the same issue. If not from this coil whining I would highly recommend the product. I will update  (not sure possible) my review once I get the replacement card but for now, a big 2/5 stars. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-17-13 07:47 PM

Cons: - Large card profile (will be hard to fit in smaller/tighter cases so plan ahead)- Doesn't come with dvi-dp adapters like the Sapphire cards

Pros: - Handles overclocking pretty well- $100 cheaper than the 7970- Solid performance on 1 monitor at 1080p- Heat isn't much of an issue due to the Twin Frozr
Comment:
Solid card from ATI given the current price drops. Comparable with the GTX 670 at stock. Can compete with the HD 7970 and GTX 680 when overclocked.

Cons: The card broke down on me in just 7 days after my new gaming pc was built.

Pros: When it worked, it was a beast
Comment:
Great card when it worked. It was great for gaming, and the FPS was amazing. I got this card because there was a sale for 305$. However the drivers that AMD gave were really bad. The drivers kept on unresponding then coming back to life. Later the card died on me. MSI's rma service is great, and really easy to deal with. Currently in RMA process, will update  later.

Cons: Mine did not come with the 3 free games but maybe that promo is over?

Pros: Very good performance.Very good cooling.Very good price ($305 AR)
Comment:
I am very pleased with the card so far. I also got the 6+8 pin PCI-e power plug model (7970 pcb?) which was nice to see. I have not tried OCing it yet, just stock stress testing to see if the card is not DOA.

Cons: Mine came with a 6-pin + 8-pin which I was not expecting. Thankfully, my PSU supports it. Just be prepared!

Pros: Fast, cool, and quiet.
Comment:
I just purchased the MSI 7950 and I couldn't be more pleased. The GPU was really easy to install and get running. I haven't played many demanding games yet, but the ones I've tried are outstanding. No trouble with drivers, which I hear sometimes people have trouble with on AMD/Raedon cards. Using 12.7 Beta currently. Shipping / Processing was quick and card was securely placed within packaging.

Pros: design and power is great.
Comment:
I bought this card for 310$ after MiR and with tax that came to about 365$. A very good price point for this card versus nvidia which after tax comes to about 470$ for a reference design 670.A con that needs explanation is heat..... it is a good cooler and maybe I got a dud but searching around the web I found that people were getting the max clocks from catalyst control center (1100/1575) at about 1.175-1.2 voltage on the core. However....... I could not, well I COULD but lemme tell you it would heat up to 110 degrees in a matter of minutes in demanding games and shut off, and that was at 100% fan.I can safely get 1050 core clock and 1575 memory with a 1.05 core voltage, I have not tested hardcore to get 1100 core clock to be stable but pretty much if I go past 1.1 core volt my temperatures spiral out of control. I will be getting more case fans, especially one 140mm fan for my side panel to pull air in directly to card and more hot air away, and hopefully that helps. All in all a great card, 37 fps 2x msaa 2560-1440 in furmark with my above clocks at 65% fan and only reach 75 degrees.

Pros: Powerful, great cooling, awesome price.
Comment:
The card works great. I got it when it was 310 after rebate and for that price, 85-90% of the performance of a 670 is OK by me (especially since it comes with good overclocking potential and more VRAM).My card also had a 6+8 pin power connection, even though everywhere i look, these guys have 6+6...

Cons: -Large card, I wouldn't buy this for a mid case.-100% fan speed sounds like a jet engine(but its cold as funk)and 65% fan speed is plenty of cooling for the games these days.

Pros: -Good overclocking even on stock voltage-Stays really cool under load(max temp was 58c on BF3, everything on ultra and 2 hours of gamingh65% fan speed)-Low power use compared to my old crossfire 5770's
Comment:
Overall this is a great card. Got it for 329, the sale was kinda late for the mail in rebate though but whatever. Would suggest this card to anyone who wants to max all their games with minimum stutter. This card is powerful.
