Cons: If you use the bottom PCIE3.0 slot with a dual slot video card, you lose your 2nd USB3.0 header.

Pros: Tons of options, lots of USB ports, extra PCIE, DRAM, CPU power ports on the MB.
Comment:
I went 3way CFX HD7970s, works without a hitch, having the triple slot solution for all video cards is essential for anyone serious about putting a lot of Video Cards in your build. A lot of boards try to sell the dream about multi-card setups, but this one delivers. Most MB's don't actually have enough power to do anymore than 2 PCIE3.0 slots, its actually a 24pin load issue.. Whereas this MB has extra power ports for PCIE, DRAM and CPU... This is my first RAMPAGE series board, I am a lifer now, will never buy anything else. Also a few different waterblock options out there if you are into water cooling like me.

Cons: Only includes right angled SATA connectors, so be sure your case will support them. Also, the color of the SATA cables does not match the overall color scheme of the board

Pros: One of the best Motherboard for LGA2011 Platform
Comment:
This Motherboard is the one to have if you want performance close to that of a workstation setup. 'nuff said

Cons: Expensive, many features will be useless to most people

Pros: Tons of features, awesome layout, looks great
Comment:
After having the R3E I knew I needed the R4E as well. Great layout and tons of features. EG, the ability to turn off pcie lanes (rather than removing cards) is great for troubleshooting. EK makes a waterblock to fit this mobo that looks and works great as well.

This has renewed my faith in Asus. Looks great, works as advertised. Tons of features. Using a 3930K with 16gb Corsair GT 2133 and twin GTX 560's in SLI. No issues and lots of fun tweaking things. Made up for my Striker II experience. Get it you won't regret it...

Cons: Extreme PriceExtremely noisy (little fan)

Pros: Extremely Nice Color schemeExtremely Nice PCIE layoutExtreme Overclocker
Comment:
Overall, my first ROG board seems to be well design from start to finish. But, the removal of my long video card is difficult because the white thing that holds the card are unreachable. With the use of intel CPU 3930k (stock) and a Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 heatsink, it reaches 28 degree celcius and 73 degree celcius with a single nf-p12 fan. Please note that buying a corsair Vengeance CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9R 1866mhz will likely fit by using such heatsink. Don`t forget to Ai overcloak and use XMP profile in order to use 1866mhz.

Cons: Does not come with all the equipment to use all its functions.

Pros: Very High End Motherboard
Comment:
I bought this on sale from NCIX and was very pleased with the price. I love the AI suite that it uses although I have already found an error on its software (just a typo error). What more can you ask from this motherboard? It pretty much does everything for you. There's auto overclocking features. (Got my 3.6ghz 3820 to 4.2ghz with cpu levelup). The POST error code readout screen is also really useful to show what things are going wrong during setup of the computer. Dual BIOS also helps out a lot if you screw something up.

Cons: It's a very expensive board and many people won't use all the included features.

Pros: Lots of accessories in the box, best looking board (IMO) on the market today.
Comment:
This is my fourth ROG mainboard from Asus and it doesn't disappoint. It has every feature a computer nerd could want and I'll be spending the next few weeks delving into all the features it offers.

Cons: expensiveVery picky on ram it will recognize

Pros: Great overclockerLooks great in my casehas been rock solid once I found ram it liked
Comment:
I was going to wait for ivy but decided that the X79 was more my style. Bought this board and a 3930K. The only real problem I ran into was having to try 4 different kits of ram to work properly on the board. I tried 2 different 16 gig kits of Gskill ripjawz and come corsair before I finally got my current 32 gigs ( 2 x 16 gig kits) of Kingston hyperX KHX1866C9D3K4/16GX. It was the only ram that was recognized right off the bat and had no trouble oc'ing my chip to 3.77GHZ in under 5 minutes. Great board and has everything you could ever need :)

Review Date: 02/24/12
Cons: installation it's more complex than regular boards i dealt with before. there are many extra connectors i had to look at the manual to make sure i am doing it right. it's also quite large so make sure you have a large case. even in my snow edition it blocked half of the rubber cable ports for cable management. The manual is really for advanced users. all the overclocking feature has basica explaination so it's up to you to do the research.boot up is a little slower at the bios. which makes sense because it has to do so many self checks on all the features. turn off the full screen logo will make it faster.

Pros: loaded with featureseasy overclocking.great build quality with super nice packaging
Comment:
This is my first MB without IDE, lol. This is a fantastic MB, so many features that's going to keep you busy for a long time. the build quality is extremely high. great for learning computer stuff. the pci-e 3.0 x 4 is crazy, that's gonna be good for a long time. now i am just using one 590 and that should be good for hopefully 10 years. right now i ran 3930k at 4.5ghz, 1.36v on H100. temperature less than 55 degrees when playing BF3 for 4 hours. 13pt on cinebench.so overall extremely happy and even the bragging right is well worth it :)

Cons: Expensive. Power hog when loadedNeed very large case for 4X SLI. Stock TJ07 wont work and HAF932 cant have bottom PSU

Pros: Very powerful, up to 4X SLI. 4X PCI-E 16x slots.Bluetooth, USB3.0First class power management
Comment:
This is the second X79 motherboard I have used. The first being the P9X79 Deluxe. Both boards performed great in testing. This board however is for a client build, so I couldnt get too carried away overclocking with it. With that said though, I was able to push the 3960X to 5333mhz on it.Still busy on the build so not a bunch of time to play with the toys that came with it.If you want the bells and whistles, this is the board for you.
