Rosewill Assistance DOA card I wrote an earlier review criticizing the card and the slow first response from Rosewill. They responded shortly thereafter and we attempted the normal solutions - latest drivers, latest ROM. This was ineffective so they are RMAing a replacement. All in all, their support was really fairly commendable for a ษ product. Thank you Rosewill.

Added Sata to a non-Sata board that is 10 yrs old (Asus A7N266-E) Added an SSD Patriot Torqx TRB PT32GS25SSDR and an old 160 gb raptor to run Win 7 Ultimate and boy does it run! Probably could have spent my cash on my newer rig but I just had to give my initial gaming rig a second opportunity after getting passed around loved ones members for years. Now I can dedicate it to downloads, audio and such while I game. none however. Simple menu and an straightforward, productive card.

Functions, does it what it advertises I had to spend for it...? I purchased this along with a new Samsung 1TB really hard drive also. This is the 1st new difficult drive I've purchased in YEARS... I've re-installed maybe a dozen or so utilised ones, but not something new in a although. I forgot about the added methods involved initializing *new* drives versus just formatting an old a single. Thankfully, when I referred to as Rosewill client service, they had been helpful, knowledgeable... and even spoke native english! Remarkable! I'll defintely buy Rosewill once again.

wonderful consumer service I wrote the evaluation about the card saying that it didn't work for RAID-1. This is an addendum to say that even though I was disappointed with the card, I'm not with Newegg or Rosewill. Each companies have great buyer service. Rosewill provided to send me a replacement card. Newegg supplied me full refund for it. I now have self-assurance that if I acquire something from Newegg or Rosewill and it doesn't function, I will be made complete.

This adapter will let you to flash ANY xbox 360 dvd drive if your pc doesn't have a compatible SATA chipset for making use of flashing apps.NOTE: Just before utilizing this adapter to flash xbox 360 drives.. employing windows 7, soon after windows installs drivers for this device make positive you disable this adapter in device manager > delete "vsmraid.sys" from "C :\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\" > then enable the adapter so that a yellow caution symbol is displayed next to the device name (This will avoid flashing apps like JungleFlasher from freezing in the course of flashing procedure).Comes with two 4-pin energy plug to SATA power plug adapter cables.Comes with two SATA information cables.Comes with an Ultra IDE port.Operates good! Best Via card I located! Can only use two SATA ports at a time and need to have to alter jumper positions if you want to use the external ports (Default settings are each internal ports=enabled and both external ports=disabled) Sucks I paid ศ.99 for mine and now it's only พ.99 :-(

Rosewill rocks, functions wonders with all 360 moding needs, inexpensive. None Was searching for a SATA card that would work with moding a 360 hdd and disc drive, I purchased this, worked completely. Only point that didn't go swell was the application necessary to mod the 360, but thats yet another story

Worked proper out of the box without having the want to use the drivers on the disk. Functionality is slow as people have stated. I am making use of it with two 1TB Hatchi sata drives with no raid. I have not tested the ide port but over all this is a fantastic raid card if all you want is some ports. Slow and a small overpriced by a handful of bucks but with gas closing in on Ŭ a gallon this is practically nothing. pci (Duh) Going to put a smaller heatsink to cool the controller just for the fun of undertaking it.

Utilised the card to add an SATA mirror into a 2008 server. Card functions fine in Server 2008. Array initializes instantaneously. Great, inexpensive way to add a low level (RAID Ǘ) array into a Pc. The external connectors are not eSATA, they are normal internal SATA. Not certain the point.

Card installed extremely tightly into the PCI slot; nonetheless, installation was very uncomplicated and Windows 7 64-bit installed the driver fine. Works for specifically what i needed it to. Many cables and hardware required integrated with product as well. Shipping packing materials could have been far better; 1 piece of paper is lame. No fault on the solution though. I love newegg

Cost I tried to develop a Raid-1 array, with a 1.5Tb WD supply drive and a 1.5Tb Seagate target drive. Undertaking that from the Bios gave me back an error - failed to synchronize drives. This occurred soon after about 15min into the procedure. I then booted into Windows XP and tried to use the Through sw that came with the CD to do the mirroring. Like one more reviewer - Ryan - knowledgeable, this is taking forever. I have left this operating for a day now, and it is showing only five% performed. I'm providing up on it.

Package included more than I anticipated, two SATA cables, 2 energy adaptor plugs/cables, 1 IDE ribbon, Low profile bracket, Floppy with drivers, CD with drivers, and of course the manual. This installed incredibly uncomplicated My board had a terrible controller so I believed it would be easier to just get a card as an alternative of changing the board not a big deal for me but this card is slower than the boards controller, my motherboard controller I got 114 megs a sec and this card I get 96. I only use it for backing up data so I don't care about the speed challenge ภ to solve my challenge is effortless to swallow

Price Defective, Slow/no assistance from Rosewill I purchased a Rosewill RC-212 on NewEgg on Oct 8th of 2010. I installed it into an ASUS A8N5X with two existing 1TB SATA drives (Samsung HD103SJ and Seagate ST31000528AS) and I installed the incorporated By means of V-RAID computer software onto a Windows XP SP3 x86 operating program and configured the drives for RAID-1. **It has nonetheless not effectively synchronized the drives. In truth, it hasn't even made it to ten%. It averages 2-3% per day but restarts from % at every single reboot.** This is even worse because the card seems to be locking up the machine and causing blue screens and reboots. Since installing the card, my occasion log has been *full* of system errors, source Disk event ID 51. The By way of software program event log only shows that it has began synchronizations. No errors. The Via's Check All Disks tool shows passing Intelligent statuses. I contacted Rosewill a week ago and have not heard back.

It does what it is supposed to do. Boosts avg hd write for me to 53 mb/s and read to 60 mb/s. That may well not be too considerably but it seems to make a difference in gaming... Minor issue with BIOS - the option to do RAID doesn't appear promptly. Manual claims option seems to do "Auto setup for efficiency" but this isn't an selection. Rather, go to Array Mode 1 (Mirroring) and it will give you the choice to do striping. Bios also claims that you press TAB to access it, at least with my card you have to press CTRL+T. So far I havent encountered issues... You could be superior off finding a greater card if you want additional functions

Uncomplicated install, a operates great. Set up cd did not auto run. which didn't auto detect my controller and set up the right driver. As soon as I woke up and looked for the model quantity on the box I was able to very easily install the appropriate drivers. Mainly because it was on a controller XP would not enable me to set up a mirror so I had to install the drivers to use RAID .

The item came with all the items you necessary to connect a IDE, SATA product. The installation was less difficult than the book made it seem. It can only use two SATA cables at a time so if you want to use the external you have to transform the adapter's setting. The price was unbeatable for the attributes and the support for the operating systems.

A cheap and effortless way to add two SATA ports / IDE to an older technique. Had IO errors registering from 1 drive for a couple of days. Considering it may be the drive itself, finally the card assisted me in troubleshooting by dying on the 3rd day. A controller card shouldn't just die abruptly specifically if the card functioning environment (no heat dissipated from or against) is optimal. Hunting at the card, there is a small fuse subsequent to the far bottom appropriate capacitor. Even though I appreciate that they tested the solution to know that this may well come about and a fuse is needed to be added to the circuit board, I couldn't support but consider why wouldn't they place a bit much more engineering into the product not to have the require to have this faulty circuit. If the product is priced at a unit of อ.99, why not cost it at า.99 and use the added money towards producing superior circuit boards.
