Low cost if it functions, and keeps operating longer than a week. Ordered two. Returned 1 DOA. Quantity one particular failed in a week. Replacement failed in two weeks. Product did work initially, then "lost" web connection (With Win XP, Linux, and so on.). Nearby connection remains, strangely adequate. Test with other operation systems confirms behavior. Note: some versions of Puppy Linux Reside CD load a driver, but card will not connect to net. Point is the INTERMITTENT behavior of the card makes obtaining a greater card the issue to do. |

I purchased this for a Window 98 machine and beside driver loading trouble (which I expected) every little thing went smoothly. Functions wonderful and haven't had a dilemma with the card. None If you are going to install this on a Win 98 machine make positive you have download the driver 1st from Rosewill's internet site. |

It operates wonderful It scared me when I 1st saw it b/c it didn't fill up the PCI slot entirely. I guess ethernet cards really don't want that several pins |

Installed this card to a 2001 XP Home tower. Works good. didn't want a driver, it picked right up. None. Installed the card to an older XP House Pc that was previously used for only dial up. Added the card, jumped it onto my one hundred mbps network and updated the MS OS and virus (AVG) software. The MS updates only took... a couple of days. |

I installed it in an old win 98 machine and with the win 98 driver I downloaded from the Rosewill webpage, my win 98 laptop recognized and loaded it. When plugged into my router the pc had quick web. Driver installation will probably be a little tricky |

affordable, performs Maybe I got a negative one particular, but the internet cable doesn't "click" into the socket. I can just pull it out. It's not a major deal, but now I have to watch exactly where my cable is going so that I don't accidentally pull it out. |

i got web now on two computers that did not have net ^_^ None i got two identical computers from a police auction and i could not get the drivers for the network interface installed soon after i installed xp. After a lengthy search about the net and even immediately after obtaining the driver that is supposed to operate off of the mobo's site i had no luck. I decided it wasn't worth the headache so i ordered 2 of these cards. plugged them in, operates like a charm. |

Efficient, uncomplicated to install, no additional driver installation required. Works as intended. None. Good tiny NIC that is compatible across Windows and Linux with no any added driver installation required. Vista prepared as it claims as I have just migrated to Vista and required new cards simply because my old integrated NICs would not function proper in Vista and this card was a low-cost and easy replacement for those. |

It worked right out of the box, and it was inexpensive. I am operating Linux (Mandriva 2008.1), so it is not a foregone conclusion that plug-in cards will function with my process. In this case, there are no complications. None that I can feel of. I bought this to get around a dilemma with an on-board ethernet NIC on a replacement mother board that does not perform with my Linux.Newegg delivered this in a day and got me back on the web. |

Cheap. None. I haven't seriously used the card as it was going to be a backup if I moved a workstation from a wireless place to my studio wǘ hubs as the on-board lan fried. I recently moved that workstation into the studio, operating Windows 7 as a testbed. At the moment the Rosewill RC-402 doesn't perform with W7 and is only recognized as a PCI Input Device. That's fine. I only half expected it to operate, hoping all of the Vista drivers would be ported to W7 (in its existing develop). I'll attempt some a lot more of the Realtek drivers found in the W7 network list to see if it'll function. |

Operates great. Plug and Play in W7. None. Great price tag. Very good item. It functions, what else is there to say.
