Taps into 12V molex for full speed fan. The molex only has pins installed to pass even though 12v not 5v (there are only two of the four pins installed) so it actually cant be utilised in series. |

It operates fine if you plan on powering the fan from a four prong connection working with the three prong motherboard control connecting to a fan with a three pin plug. Why you would need to have this for the average fan, I don't know. It does not work the other way... If you have a fan with a 4 pin power connection, there is no actual use for this product. I want I knew this ahead of I spent so considerably dollars on the product with shipping. Shipping alone made this an high-priced mistake which I had to just eat. I ended up purchasing the 3 pin to four pin fan power adapters at a neighborhood vendor's retailer for half the price tag provided the shipping costs. |

This operates if you are converting a three-pin fan to be powered off of a four pin atx. But honestly who requirements to do that? This cable is entirely useless if your target is to take a 4-pin atx fan and convert it to a 3-pin to be run off the motherboard or a fan controller. It lacks the იV wire, generating it essentially useless. Don't waste your money on a cable that doesn't achieve anything. |

This did exactly the job I needed it for. I bought a pack of budget fans which didn't incorporate any molex energy provide to three pin fan connectors. Due to the fact my motherboard only had two fan connectors this allowed me to use more fans with my case. Also this supplied longer cables and a really great connector versus the standard molexǙpin converters. Molex connector only has the two wires attached. If you wire it incorrect you could actually mess up your motherboard by feeding power back into your motherboard from the power supply. Shipping is also really pricey for such a light item but the price is offset if your making a large order. Not sure why you would want the female three pin connector? |

I dont know what this is intended for, even so I required it to take a fan with a 4 pin molex power connector, and a 3 pin connector that only had the rpm wire, and connect it to a fan controller that supports three pin fans only. By removing the red power wire from the male 3 pin end, and adding it to the appropriate location on the female three pin finish, I was able to hook an awesome 80mm fan to an awesome fan controller. This random wire saved the day by creating incompatible parts compatible. Hm.. Well all I can say is it would be good if I didn't have to move wires around on it, but as I stated, I didn't use it as intended. I required 2 of these, and only purchased one on the original acquire, so I had a single loud fan at max until I ordered a second one particular. The wire was 99 cents, the shipping was like 7 bucks. |

It cheep, It works, It allows you to use a fam monitoring process ,It ends there. Only has two pins on the psu connection.The plastic is cheep, I cracked it by squeezing it to challenging.Shipping costs a lot more than the product. If they utilized four pins on the 4 PIN connector (not two) I'd be able to excuse the plastic simply because it is affordable.In the finish it gets the job performed. |

It's nice minimize clutter by getting the male and female end in a single piece, rather of seperated by a cable connection The connector only passes the 5V lines by way of, the 12V don't have a pin - they had been also low-cost to put those in!!!It's quickly visible, but nonetheless straightforward to miss when you just install it. Expense me some time to figure out why some of my devices were not powered up all more than sudden!I'd advocate some other adapter that passes all power lines by way of! |

It's a wire and it function's for my zalman on my video card. Considering that dell doesn't have any 3 pin fan connectors on the motherboard, this is a must have for it. none. |

Length of wire would have been fantastic for a side panel fan. Low cost. Affordable.Doesn't do what I bought it for. I wanted to attach a three-pin fan to the side panel of my case so I can disconnect it at the adapter when opening it. Seeing that this had two 3-pin connectors I thought I could put two fans on it. Bonus, correct?. Incorrect! One connector goes the other way.There are some lights on the front of my case that use two pins of a molex for power. This adapter only has two pins in it. Not a issue if they line up. But get this, it's the opposite two pins! Why would it have been designed this way?I looked by way of all the cables and this appeared to come closest to fitting my requirements. Superior adapters came cost-free with a case I purchased for a different computer system. If only NewEgg sold those adapters rather. Workes perfectlyReplaced an incredibly loud cpu fan with a ZALMAN CNSP7500, which became noisey within two weeks. Connected the ZALMAN directly to 15 volts, it was quiet. The pc wouldn't boot absolutely since it couldn't detect the Fan rpm. The Rosewill cable has three-pin male connection for the fan, a 3-pin female connection for the CPU fan input and the power provide connections. The computer boots OK. none |

Hmm, it expenses much less than a dollar. So I made the mistake and bought the wrong type of cable. It does what it does and however I actually didn't want one for my technique. No issues from it. |
