Cons: a little hard to connect depending on your # of fans and fan connector types

Pros: works welllooks sweet
Comment:
Very happy with this unit so far (got the black model). Works well and looks sharp with the blue leds, if that color matches your computer case sensibilities.

Cons: 1 channel can barely run my 200mm fan, needs to be max power (but 200mm is huge)

Pros: works great, can run up to 6-8 fans
Comment:
great, made my systems way way quieter!!got 2 of em, and both work greatLED are crazy bright< I painted them with black felt pen, but I think I want BLACK PAINT! on those LEDS, this is for my HTPC and those lights are blinding when watching a movieother than bright LED's they are great

Cons: no fan monitoring wire included

Pros: 20W per channelSmall voltage drop 0.5VGood build quality
Comment:
Overall very good device. You can't go wrong with 20W per channel. I wished it included a fan monitoring wire as with the Zalman ZM-MFC1. Noteworthy is the very low voltage drop, around 0.5V as opposed to about 1.5V for the ZM-MFC1.

Cons: -LED's are really bright

Pros: -aluminum front and knobs
Comment:
pretty good unit, able to control up to 4 3pin powered devices. Adjustable from 0-12v or so. Only complaint is that the LED's are really bright, they could have used something a little less blinding.

Cons: knobs a little too big for my Tsunami dream case..

Pros: Cheap, looks nice, works well!
Comment:
Great little fan controller for the price! seems very good quality. Anybody with a Thermaltake Tsunami case that's wondering, it will work. the 5.25 quick release brakets will allow you to set the controller back just a tiny bit extra so the door will close.

Cons: could provide more cabling, super bright LEDs (for those annoyed by them).

Pros: BRIGHT LIGHTS! Turns OFF as well as attenuates. comes in silver or black to match your case.
Comment:
I bought two of these, one black and one silver for two Thermaltake BACH HTPC cases. Btw the knobs do not prevent the drive bay door from closing on the Bach case. Anyways, the best part about this fan controller is that the dial actually clicks off in its most counter-clockwise position. This allows you to swap out fans while the computer is running (since the circuit is closed) without fear of damaging components. The LEDs are SUPER bright which is either good or bad depending on your fancy. The LED changes from red to blue as the dial crosses the midpoint. Highly recommended

Cons: Only comes with two 4pin to 3 pin connectors yet has 4 dials. LED's bright as the sun - wow.Very poorly translated instructions with more mistakes than a first grader learning to write. :)

Pros: Reversable LED colours (see summary.Easy to install, so easy in fact that the instructional page that they give you is more entertainment than intsructional.
Comment:
Picked this up today over the black one as it matches my Soprano case better. Fits like a glove in the 5.25 slot. Easy to hook up.LED's move from red (low voltage) to blue as you increase the voltage. These 'colours' can be reversed by slipping the LEDs out of the socket and reversing the leads so now blue indicates low voltage and red higher voltage. This works best for me as I have the fans on low voltage most of the time and the case is primarily accented with blue LED's. Be warned the LEDs are bright!!!!!! Blinding Bright. The two 120mm fans needed to be pushed up into the high voltage stage before they would spin, but after they get going I can back them down to get a lower rpm on them. Currently running both case fans at about 900rpm, compared to the 1700rpm they are without the fan control. Box is much uieter than before. Music to my ears.IDLE Temps before fan control:CPU 39 CMobo 32 CGPU 47 CHD 31 CIDLE Temps after fan control (fans running abou half regular rpm)CPU 38 CMobo 35 CGPU 48 CHD 35 CVery acceptable IMONo reason to test under load as I will be turning fans on max for playing games anyway.

Cons: LEDs are exceptionally brightWish it came with some 3 pin extensioncables

Pros: InexpensiveThe aluminum finish and knobs look high qualityBlue/Red led visual feedback
Comment:
This rheobus matches up perfectly with my aluminum Lian Li PC60 case, it was simple to install and extremely simple to operate. I bought this to quiet down the 4 vantec stealth fans I had originally running at 12v, rather than me replacing them for more cost. It gave me the option of running them low when web browsing and even when I'm gaming I find I don't need to turn it on full blast. The pcb and metal housing look sturdy and well constructed, althought I would have preferred black lettering as opposed to the blue they presently use. The knobs give a nice "click" when you turn it on or off, however the first 1/3 - 1/2 of the rotation is essentially useless IMHO as fans that are thrown less than 7v don't move too much air anyways. Great purchase, inexpensive and works as advertised.

Cons: realy bright LEDs, nobs are made of plastic

Pros: price, adjusting fan speed, nice finnish
Comment:
great product if you want to lower the noisy of your computer. The metal finnish is great. The LEDs are a bit too bright for me. Could include more cable with the package.

Cons: could use some more connecting cables‘ultra bright’ LEDs can be blinding if looking directly at them

Pros: full 0-12 volt controlbright, colour changing LEDsabsolutely quietgood qualitylooks goodgood price
Comment:
I love this unit. It does just what I want and does it well. At 20 watts/channel there's not much it can't handle. As it uses heat sinks to dissipate heat generated by attenuating voltage, it makes absolutely no noise as compared to some other solid state circuitry based controllers (as I’ve read).Installation and setup were quick and easy, and buttons did not protrude enough to keep me from closing the door to my Antec 1080 case. Fit like a glove and looks very nice. For the price, I haven’t seen anything else that compares. The unit has 4 control knobs, each of which can control up to 20 watts worth of fans (or what have you?). Control of fan ranges from full ‘off’ to full ‘on’. The corresponding LEDs to each button will change colour depending on what you have it set at. Anything from 0 – 7 volts will show up as red, from 7 – 12 volts will light up as blue. Instructions say that you can pull LEDs out and reverse their position in the socket holder to get the opposite effect of lighting, but I have not tried this. I currently have unit controlling 6 fans including my alx-800 cpu fan with no problems so far. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this product.

I tried both the Vantec Nexus 201 and this Sunbeam unit and as far as I'm concerned the only advantage the Nexus has is the plethora of cables that come included: two 4-pin to 3-pin adapters each of which can power 2 fans (or more if you chain them on the same channel), two 3-pin extensions, and a power extension cable. The Sunbeam unit however, only comes with a power extension, two very short 4-pin to 3-pin adapters, and a strange 2-pin male to 3-pin male connector. The Sunbeam is a superior unit in every other way. The construction seems better... the PCB is longer making it less flimsy, the heatsinks are large, the front face plate (which looks a bit gaudy) has a nice silver finish. The fan headers are horizontal, the way they should be, unlike the Nexus where they are placed vertically. Also, each channel can handle a whopping 20W - that's enough to handle 2 Vantec 80mm Tornados! The knobs also petrude less, making it an easier fit (the Nexus could not fit in my Raidmax case flush with the rest of the drives, the Sunbeam however had no such problems). The knobs give you full control over the fans, allowing you to turn them off completely if you so desire. There are LEDs for each channel which change from blue to red when you go below 7V, a nice visual cue if you're computing in the dark. Now to be clear, I'm not saying the Vantec Nexus 201 is a bad unit. Not at all, it's a good product especially if you don't have/can't afford the cabling and don't need anything lower than 7V. The Sunbeam Rheobus is just a cut above. It's clear the people at Sunbeam thought this through - from a design standpoint, it is simply perfect.

Cons: Only came with 2 adapters for the fans but can handle at least 2 fans per channel using supplied power splitter.

Pros: Uses Rheobus instead of PWM so there is NO noise.Nice LEDs that switch from red to blue.Easy Installation
Comment:
I've looked for a long time for a good fan controller, including the antec and zalman. This Sunbeam is a no brainer, it is so much better that the rest based on "bang-for-buck." Looks great, functions even better. If you're hesitant on buying a controller look no furthar that this one.
