The frame is heavy, and conducts heat out of the laptop far better than a plastic frame would. It fits in most laptop bags and backpacks, and the fans are quite quiet. Although the frame is metallic and the cooler is extremely quiet, the fans don't spin as rapidly as other coolers I've had. Also, sharp corners make it harder to move around than many other coolers on the marketplace. My laptop feels cooler than it would devoid of a fan, but it nevertheless heats up fairly rapidly for the duration of some games, which I haven't knowledgeable with other coolers. Really does perform. Super good strong building and fits my 17" incredibly effectively. Pads sticks to the desk firmly. Fans are extremely silent. My laptop cpu fan runs significantly less frequently so thats a excellent sign, prolongs the lifespan of the laptop. The alumnum piece is thick and is alway cool to the touch. Non portable. Performs as it need to. I have an HP laptop that doubles as a area heater. HP's "fix" for the overheating issue was to alter the BIOS to run the fan almost non-stop. This cooler keeps the fan from kicking on as often and the left front top above the difficult drive doesn't get uncomfortably hot any additional when I rest my palm on it. None to speak of. It's a little heavy, but that's because it's created of metal in order to conduct the heat out more quickly. If it was plastic, it probably wouldn't work as effectively. I want I'd got this before my laptop "cooked" the challenging drive and I had to replace it. |

Good design fits fantastic on 17's laptops, good and quiet i leave it running all evening. Sharp edges, fairly bulky and i don't really feel my laptop acquiring any cooler, I hada Cooler Master ahead of this which was wonderful!!!! but the usb power broke on the back. I would recomend this for a 15' notebook not 17' My gateway 17' just keeps kicking its fan on, below this cooler exactly where as the cooler master was wonderful unfortunate for its size problem. |

Fits my HP 17" notebook completely. My laptop use to overheat 5-10 minutes into any game. With this cooler I can countinue gaming without having obtaining to worry about the laptop automatically shutting down. Fans gradually get louder with use. Have owned for 3 months now and is an excelent piece of equipment.-Particularly quiet. The only time i have ever heard it is when it is late at night and there is no other noise. Even the quietest of sounds make it invisible.-Functions amazing. Prior to i could practically fry an egg on my personal computer now i use it to chill my drinks! Only con is that the griping pads that came with the cooling pad did not stick to it incredibly effectively and fell off within the 1st week on the other hand considering that most computers have there own grips on the bottom those function just fine to hold your laptop to it. A different wonderful item and fantastic service from newegg and Rosewill both. |

well I do need to have to say that newegg was the ideal shipper I ordered this on monday at 10 in the morning and on tuesday it was on my front door by ten! I have been useing the product a the day now and mostly game with my laptop a 17 gateway FX this girl gets quite toasty but not now. The fan is plesently quiet it sounds like your regular desktop cooling fan you neglect that it is operating occasionally. It fits my 17 in just best no more than lay on either the cooler or the laptop. It is also rather comfy on your lap even though the picture makes it seem not so. It does not tilt enough for genuinely comfy typing it is ok but I would like a little a lot more tilt. If you use it on you lap your legs tend to get cold. It doesnt come with a DC energy cord only a USB and if your personal computer doesnt have a lot of USB ports you dont get a constructed in hub in this unit. My tips for a person with that issuse is to upgrade to the newer model which has bolth a wall plug and USB hub built into the back. If you are in the industry for a laptop cooler that is not a affordable pice of plastic and will not run you 60$$ than I would recomend this one to you. The design and style is for portabilty so you can take it with you and not have to be concerned about it falling apart. It cools even high end laptops like mine very effectively.
