·Adjustable fan speeds. Max level tends to be just also audible for me. I preserve it on 1-3 and it's relatively silent (though a bit a lot more louder than the stock I applied ahead of) ·A bit louder than the stock cooler for the i5-2600k.·_IF_ I get one more fan for dual-fan operation and/or fix the air flow from fans and temps don't drop or it helps none, then _possibly_ a con unless I only see a distinction when OCing. I assume I want to re-arrange the fan direction for either the back or the a single on prime to pull (?) the hot air off the cpu.. or.. something.Presently, I assume the way it's setup is not helping. The back blows onto the fan that is blowing onto the heatsink and one more fan above that is blowing onto the heatsink as properly.Idle temps are roughly the same as the stock cooler, so I feel I did a thing wrong, or there is just no improvement for idle temps (I feel if I transform the fan to blow out, it could help temps, at least I hopeဧC idle, and the highest with heavy load I've seen is 56C (though I feel stock reached either the identical, or perhaps 60C).If I don't bother to OC, I feel that I can't actually say something for this item. I guess I'll make another assessment when I make some adjustments [so for what ever this is actually worth, which doesn't seem like considerably]

Fantastic cooler, 120MM fan to keep the heat down. Direct speak to copper heat pipes. High top quality components. Has mounts for a second 120MM fan if you Actually want to. There actually aren't any, it was a bit tricky to figure out how to mount it appropriately. (This was my first create so it was to be expected) otherwise it's a good solution. Also, it is on the larger side, I would measure out your case or read evaluations to make certain it will match. Keeps a X4 955 (OC'd to 3.68 GHz) at 49(idle)-54(under load) degrees Celsius. I'm not genuinely familiar to what the usual temperatures for over-clocked quads would be, but I think about that a feat thinking about my old Sempron 3400+ ran at 54 degrees (and that was only at 1.8 GHz!).Over all if you're hunting for a good budget cooler, you can't go wrong with this EVEN even though over-clocking.

Great cooling, very good appears. The brackets attach with ease, though the guidelines leave a bit to the imagination. When you figure out the right orientation, it goes on with ease. The instructions. Clearer indicators of the correct spring screw slots would have been nice. It made for some clucking inside the case as I lined it up. Be warned, if you have RAM with oversized/tall heatsinks, you can only use a single fan on the cooler, and it will only fit on the backside of the cooler as a "puller" fan. Strategy ahead, get ram with short spreaders.

1st time with the several various pc's constructed all through the years and with a larger than regular ambient temp, am in a position to keep the cpu temp at a continual 41. Earlier typical operating temps had been regularly above 50. QUIET Fan! The instruction are just a bit confusing. Live in Hawaii and have been buying Newegg solutions for more than ten years. Newegg guidelines, this is however, the 1st time I've written a evaluation. Had to create on the fan...This fan preforms!

Got it after my Intel CPU i5 760 went over 105 degrees with stock fan. While running the same super stressful applications, this thing cooled it way below 70. Recommended for anyone not overclocking and find liquid cooling too expensive.

Quiet. Stock cooler @ 55+ degrees ran @ 5000+rpms and was loud. Even @ 1500 rpms playing BFBC2 this cooler is extremely QUIET.Effective. Even though my method doesn't heat my area as well in the winter now, I probably won't have to kick the air conditioner into overdrive this summer time with the temps I'm getting using this cooler vs. stock. Dropped stock AMD Phenom II X4 965 cooler temps ~ 20 degrees. It's major. Although I don't see the actual dimensions listed anywhere here, one particular can guesstimate the approximate figures....look at the pic with the 120mm fan...now add about a 1Ǚ additional to that for the heatpipes that extend out...you're seeking at 𞳐mm. Measure your case ahead of getting. Do your homework prior to obtaining. A low rating because 'it didn't match' is ludicrous...blame yourself not CM or Newegg.Installation guidelines were, to say the least, asinine. I will say this was THE most annoying piece of hardware I've ever installed...[building systems ever since I bought the Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo card for GLquake!] I assume I in fact swore additional than when I'm out functioning on my car! Less difficult installation...or at least guidelines that had been, well Guidelines would've warranted that 5th egg, until then, I can only give four.

Keeps the processor as cool as my prior Zalman fan at less then 1ǘ the noise level! This issue is good quality building and the style is fairly neat as it will fit a lot of configurations. appreciate the 120MM fan and it can be fitted with a second (doesn't come with) if you will need even more cooling i guess. Top quality building with copper and aluminum heat sink is fantastic. It quite huge. I could see this not fitting on some MB and in some instances for sure. It could get in the way of massive RAM sticks and perhaps case fans. Installation essential removal of the MB, but I feel that is par for installing a new CPU fan regardless. Worth it. Would acquire again.

This operates fantastic! My i7 870 was often way as well hot. The stock fan sucked. It kept setting off my alarm at 60 C. It now runs at about 39 C most of the time. It fits just fine in my Antec 600 case. none. I didn't believe that the instructions were that poor. But if you're having a tough time, just watch the video.

For ฮ, this thing does an awesome job - I'd quickly pay โ for it. It matches the cooling power of many coolers that are โ+ up to 贄 It is Really huge, considerably bigger than you'd assume. make a fish with both of your hands, and put them next to each other. That's about how big this factor is. Could not match in smaller circumstances. If you are installing this on a P67 Mobo for 1155 Intel Chipsets, it seems like almost all motherboards are modest to the point exactly where this heatsink + fan will cover up component of DIMM 1. So make confident you either only use DIMM two and 4 or have low profile RAM>

With the Intel stock cooler, running the ABC@Home client (Boinc) with one hundred% CPU usage on all four cores, the CPU temp quickly reached 72 degrees Celsius (according to Intel Desktop Utilities) just before I lowered the CPU threshold way, way back. Then I replaced the stock cooler with this point. Running the very same program, with all four cores pegged at one hundred%, running for many minutes, the CPU temperature reaches only 54 degrees. Throughout the test, the CPU runs the fan at about 600 RPM, which is pretty quiet. For typical activities the CPU temp remains effectively below 40 with this fan. The documentation is not extremely clear. It isn't terrible, but it could be clearer for non-elites. Not a simple set up for me. When I am seasoned in tech, I haven't installed one of these larger heat sinks ahead of. Although I don't play a lot of games or overclock, I want my CPU protected for the lengthy haul, and my computer operating as rapidly as attainable. On my Sandy Bridge LGA1155 board, the installation procedure that worked for me, intending to supplement the documentation, employing the letter IDs from the documentation, is as follows. Stick in the first C unit. Turn the motherboard on its side and stick E via the finish of the C. Wiggle C till it snaps in. Screw in a G to lock C into spot. Repeat one by a single till E is installed. To install F, all of the outer screws are in the default flange holes. nearest to the center. The fan that comes with this heat sink will point toward the front of the case.

A dramatic drop in temp and fan speed more than my stock AMD cooler. Set up with case access to back of MB about fifteen minutes. Newegg and CM videos helped streamline the install. doesn't make pancakes. I'm using a Rosewill Challenger case and when others stated the 212 just fits they weren't kidding there is no area left over between the top of the 212 and side panel, FYI the Roeswill case is seven and a half inches wide. I had a spare 120 laying about and threw it on for a push pull flow and with the stock 140 at the best of the case there is lots of air moving across the sink. I'm incredibly impressed with the top quality, overall performance and price tag of this item, this was dollars nicely spent.

It arrived yesterday, the heatsink just operates wonderful, it was a bummer the fact that I had to eliminate the motherboard, but it was worth it and exciting. The fan's just acting weird, it requires couple seconds to start out spinning, and I currently had an error saying that the fan wasn't operating effectively. I decided to verify it and produced positive power connector was plugged in effectively, and it was. Won't RMA simply because that would imply to get rid of the motherboard and send every thing back, which would expense me more than merely purchasing a different fan. Purchasing yet another fan right now, but I want cooler master would send me another fan devoid of me sending anything back, due to the fact I require my laptop every day. What a bummer man. :( Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. You don't require to send the whole cooler back. We can send you just the fan. You can order the fan beneath warranty via the Aspect Request hyperlink below. If you have any other questions, please let us know. awesome low cost, direct heatpipe speak to, runs quiet, comes with a fan and thermal paste (which i will hold for client builds, i applied Tuniq TX-2 on this). extremely low temps for air cooling, even with big overclocks. coolermaster.com has a quite excellent instructional video with regards to installation. integrated guidelines are terrible, but this is largely offset by the video on the coolermaster site.the heatsink will rotate about 5-degrees clockwise & counter-clockwise right after installation. considering that this is not described in the directions or in the video, i was worried i had accomplished a thing wrong. i had not. it have to be standard, due to the fact my temps are low.not really a con - but be cautious. i have an Enermax Chakra full tower and nevertheless had to take away my side panel 220mm fan to get this heatsink in. this thing sticks out a fantastic 6" above the motherboard. worried about using this with RAM with large heatsinks, like Ripjaws X, due to the fact of other critiques? don't. perhaps they have changed the fan mounting hardware, as you can quickly mount the fan to make space for large RAM heatsinks.paired with a 2500K, this issue is an overclocker's dream come accurate. i got mine up to 5.0GHz @ 1.45V CPU and 1.9V PLL. temps at 75C running Prime95 substantial FFT tests. not wanting to push my hardware fairly that far (why bother?) i dropped it down to a comfortable four.6GHz @ 1.275V CPU & 1.85V PLL. temps now @ 58C for the duration of Prime95 large FFT tests, and idle temps @ 30C (stock HSF idled @ 42C, and were 76C throughout Prime95 with a three.six OC).for ideal outcomes, run in push/pull config (buy a 2nd fan!) and fill in the heatpipe groves with thermal paste. i applied Tuniq TX-2.extremely pleased with my 40% overclock @ 4.6GHz.WEI scores: CPU 7.7, RAM 7.9, 2D 7.7, 3D 7.7, HDD 5.9i5 2500K4GB GSkill Ripjaws X F3 12800CL7DMSI P67A-GD65MSI Cyclone N460GTX 768MBCorsair TX750V
