If you want moderate to higher OC numbers on your CPU, and don't want to invest the cash or take the danger with liquid cooling then this is what you want! I am running an AMD phenom II x4 940 BE 3.-three.six jump 51 c beneath complete load working with Prime 95. @ three.six idle 38 c. Its stable, the mounting program keeps your board from over stressing and cracking. Good piece of equipment. Be prepared this factor is Massive! Pictures and video do not do this issue justice, it's a lot bigger in individual. This isn't necessarily a negative issue unless you have a smaller case. This is not a fantastic cooler for the typical gamer its just overkill. If you like to game heavily and do some moderate OCing then this is it. Install is a hassle no matter what board or case you have. Basically place your board has to come out of its case. I've got a six-core AMD processor (the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban three.2GHz). The stock heat sink was so loud, I felt like I was sitting in a server space. I was going to go the water cooling route but listened to a friend's assistance and got this. This totally did the job. My computer is relatively quiet now. It's fairly massive. I had to move a Blu-Ray device to an additional bay to make space. You'll also need to have access to the bottom of the mobo to connect this heat sink. I'm glad I have a excellent case so it wasn't a dilemma.

Insane! First of all, if you do not overclock or push your CPU, then DO NOT Purchase OR Overview! The TEC Chip which is the Key component of this cooler, does not even turn on till you start baking... But when it turns on, you much better hope its on roasting chip since it will frost your CPU if not. So far, reliability is best. When TEC is not on, it functions as a normal CPU cooler. Massive!!!! It is the most significant factor in my case, and I have a full size Thermaltake Armor case, and it nonetheless touches the side of the case when I close it. It is also heavy, but most of it's weight is at the base. I'm running it on a Phenom II 955 (yes it fits Excellent on a AM3 socket, I bent up the two center tabs on the AM2 plate as they weren't utilised). Far more rugged than I thought, I can transport my rig with self-assurance. Specs:AMD Phenom II 955 ʄGHz (for now)MSI 790FX-GD70TWO Sapphire ATI HD Radeon 4890 1GB every single2GB G.Skill DDR3 operating at 2200MHZThermaltake Black Widow 850 Watt PSUOS operating on a 16GB SLC SSD, storage and games on a 1TB Seagate 7200.12 And of course, the Cooler Master V10. Utilised the Titan AMANDA-TEC, but it's TEC chip is only 50 watts, this is 200. needless to say, I wanted a lot more cooling for more overclock. Subsequent create is either Mineral Oil Fishtank or a freezer Computer.

Something this Big should cool nicely. Mine triggered mobo to beep continually, right out of the box. I found too late that the TEC chip is failing in nearly 100% of these coolers. You will have to un-plug the molex connector into the cooler (disabling the peltier cooling) prior to the constant beeps will stop. DON'T RMA YOUR MOBO, LIKE I DID, Pondering IT IS Something ON THE MOBO, Before DISCONNECTING THE COOLERS MOLEX Energy. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for any inconvenience you have had. The cooler comes with 1 year components and labor so in the event anything is amiss. It functions excellent and keeps my i7 920 4.1ghz at 80c when it worked and is quiet also. Fan borke following 7 months of use. Its really sad if a item can't even make it though a years worth of use with out breaking, especially some thing as vital as a fan. Good issue I had a fan warning light or my CPU would be toasted. Yet another terrible issue is you can't just obtain a 120mm fan to replace it, you require a 4 pin 120mm fan which is about 3 times as high-priced and a discomfort in the b*tt to discover.

I presently have a qx9650 and had a overclock of three.83Ghz and operating prime 95 for a hour, my core temps and the cpu temp all exceded 80c. Now with the v10 and following an hour of P95 I have core temps of 60-65c and a total cpu temp of 46c, which isn't that good actually, but that is devoid of any significant thermalelectric and a fan speed of 1200rpm which is almost a wisper. I look forward to seeing how a lot larger I can push this. An additional pro is I can fit my high profile ram below it, I was worried that I would have to reduce some of the fins off but no issue. They match devoid of modification, even though they necessary to be installed prior to the cooler. And the overhanging fan keeps them nice and cool too. This issue is giant. It barely fits in my case, the case door fan is pressed against it, just barely closing. Also the issue weighs a ton, I am nervous about moving my case about simply because it may possibly bend the motherboard too much. Also make positive that if your psu connectors are beneath it or if you use ide or a flopy heaven forbid... Its time to update man... but if you do make confident to plug the cables into the motherboard prior to installing the heatsink. Even though it is large it does a good job. It is an exelent option to watercooling. Which ever due to the fact I killed a 4870x2 with a poor installation of a leaking waterblock I have stayed away from. I just don't mix conductive liquids and electronics any longer, it just ain't right. And this is significantly nicer than the ultra chilltek thermalelectric which i have employed in the past. The further heatpipes aid manage the heat and it has the clearance for highprofile ram which the ultra chilltek does not.So for those who overclock I recomend this considerably higher than using water. And if you don't overclock get a thing else, you don't need this... Go with a thermaltake q spin or a thing like that.

I haven't purchased this but, but have been curious. This is a lot more a evaluation for those complaining about the weight and worrying about it damaging the mainboard. Do not listen to all the people, specially the noob a handful of spots down screaming about it being also heavy. All the noobs screaming about the weight. I have utilised a cooler on my Asus Crosshair now for over two years that weighs more than 850grams in a Tt Armor Complete tower, with definitely ZERO further help, and the motherboard supports it just fine. Don't be ridiculous in pondering you want to remove this cooler ahead of moving the tower, that's a noob for ya thinking that way. If you do have any fears of it damaging your MB, a easy solution is to just use 25lb clear fishing line, and tie it off to the cooler, and then to some point at the top of your tower to assist alleviate some of the weight off the board. Yes, at 1200g this is a quite incredibly heavy cooler, but do you really think they would sell it, if the weight was going to rip your PCB apart, understanding they could be completely liable for the harm? Wake up noobs, cease screaming about the weight, and go learn a thing about Pc's. This cooler has essentially gotten some very decent critiques, and for those not wanting ot invest 跌+ in a great water cooling method, this is a really good solution.

This cooler does just what it says it does. The temperaturs I run typical 122 degrees Fahrenheit at full load on an i7core 940 and 98 degrees at an idle. Couldn't be happier with it's cooling abilty. Even overclocked to 3.7GHz the temps average 165 at complete load. It can be challenging to install due to the size of the cooler and the space you have available in your case. On my mother board the cooler covers two fan plugs and each the 8pin and 24 pin connectors so receiving those connected after the motherboard is back in your case can be a challenge (it took just about an hour to connect these four plugs for me). I unfortuantely received a defective fan out of the pair of 120mm fans that came with the cooler. Commonly I would say this isn't a large deal. However each fans run off the identical plug so getting a replacement is only by means of the manufacturer. I submitted the warranty component request and it has been 35 enterprise days given that it was authorized. I have been told twice, upon request of status, that the aspect would be going out in the subsequent two small business days and every time their estimate was incorect. So don't expect timely consumer service from the manufacturer.I would give this item five stars on Pros, three stars on Cons and manufacturer service I would give 1 star at finest. I will typical the three and 5 and leave out the 1 star due to the fact most people wont have to deal with the manufacturer.

Currently even below heavy load it runs a OC of 3.8ghz at about 42-47C.the fan above the mem also helps hold it cool None other than size, but its not like you cant see it in the picture.so to all the persons that complain about the size this size that, you individuals shouldnt be constructing computer's. yours truely, computer builder. If you strategy our your create before you just commence throwing stuff collectively, the size of it wont matter. This coupled with the HAF case, its just beautifullthe only thing i could want more is water cooled.

Cooler works, keeps my amd 965 Ɠ.9ghz) @ 32c idle. Appears incredible in my Silverstone Raven case. Red light is dim (for me this is a excellent issue I don't like lights shining in my face) This cooler is enormous, it is as wide as my crosshair III motherboard. Not truly a con but be aware how huge this thing is before you get............. will not fit in most mid-tower and no way on micro type aspect. The TEC is a neat idea but really makes no difference in actual temps..... in silverstone raven case, due to the fact of 90 degree mount, cooler will put a bit of downward force on motherboard, fixed by employing graphics card tension bar to pull some weight off of cooler.

I went from a mid tower to a complete tower just to match this factor in my case. Even in my complete tower case I had to modify the case a small in order to fit this cooling monster. This heat sink expense me an additional 110 bucks. Nevertheless its nonetheless a fantastic heatsink.

1. Awesome Cooling for CPU - Running i7 920; Overclocked to three.8 Ghz, Temperature under no circumstances exceeds 28-34 C even under Gaming Stress.two. Decent Cooling for RAM; Side fan sits above memory, sucking up heat and blowing it away.three. Fits multiple unique sockets (different CPUs) 1. If you ever want to add much more memory, you will have to eliminate the complete unit. (will have to re-apply thermal compound on CPU).This child is in it for the long haul. It is a little irritating to deal with, but who takes their heatsinks on and off all the time anyways? As soon as it is installed, it's good to go and does a great job!

This the greatest that you're going to get without having switching to decent water cooling. Due to the fact this cooler is BEAST. Used this as a construct for my pal's Pc and wow.. overclocked his i7 920 to four. ghz and it by no means goes above 35 C even beneath heavy loads and gaming. This cooler beats most inexpensive water cooling options and if you program on overclocking and have the money to blow on some thing like this, then I would advocate this over anything else. Value.. but you get what you spend for. and it's Massive! Like the guy before me stated, you may well have to take this out if you strategy on taking out your memory on particular motherboards. Yes it is genuinely heavy.. 1200g is way a lot more than most coolers, but the guy that mentioned that it may possibly crack your board. That guy is stupid.. I honestly assume that he didn't even purchase this product yet and he's just saying what he "thinks". It won't crack your board period. Unless you're stupid and you put unnecessary pressure on it.Also most motherboards propose 350g... 350 is how considerably stock coolers wiegh you idiot. ANY decent cooler is going to way far more than that.

200+W CPU cooling Frustrating to install. Access hole on Element S case did not line up so it was important to remove the motherboard for installation. Reinstalling the mobo was tricky; access to screws was obstructed by the cooler. A power connector on ASUS P6T mobo was underneath the cooler and just about not possible to plug in. Upon powering on program there are two loud, annoying beeps that repeat each and every twenty seconds. Immediately after some time I establish that the CPU cooler is beeping. There is no mention of this in the solution documentation!I phoneed client assistance twice following function. Each time I was on hold for 50min(until telephone battery died). I named for the duration of business hours and was capable to get by way of in 15min. I was informed that the TEC cooler was defective and was provided two alternatives: unplug the TEC or replace the cooler. Didn't pay for a TEC cooler to not use it, and didn't want the hassle of uninstalling, returning, waiting weeks, and reinstalling. Returned to NEWEGG & installed stock cooler. -1 egg for becoming defective-1 egg for being annoying to set up-1 egg for poor buyer service-1 egg for no mention of the problem in the item documentation (Instructions for six sockets, in ten languages is a troubleshooting section unreasonable?)I obtaining pray it works; this is not a cooler you want to set up twice. Newegg buyer support was a pleasure to deal with for the RMA. I emailed consumers support and they responded in three small business days which was affordable but not impressive. Great building. Nickel plated copper base/heat pipes, aluminum fins.3 sets of fins, and lots of them.Uh... the TEC (Thermal Electric Cooler) of course.Base is flat and has an excellent finish.ten total heat pipes. Two 120mm higher CFM fans integrated 񢏠 RPM኶ CFM at max).Greatest air cooler when it comes to load tests. At incredibly higher temperatures (over 70 degrees, 80 sounds about proper) the TEC kicks in which reduces temps.Sturdy mounting system employing screws and a backplate. Price. For idle temps and mid range overclocks (quad core four ghz and beneath), the Prolimatech Megahalems with two higher CFM 120mm fans does better, for just below ๪ following obtaining the fans and fan clips. This cooler shows it's true muscle when the TEC kicks in only. If you're not organizing on really high overclocks, don't get this cooler.Fan is loud at 2400 RPM. Very best performing air cooler.

??? 1200g??? this issue is WAY as well heavy. Last time I checked most mainboards advocate coolers that are less than 350g. Can you say cracked mainboard and/or board traces? If you INSIST on utilizing this cooler I would STRONGLY advocate Under no circumstances moving the tower with no initially unmounting this beast. Accurate, all the common coolers like Zalman or any other run in the 500-750g range, still that is a little iffy and has the possibility to bring about damage to the board if the tower is not handled meticulously.

Solid construction, very good fans, appears awesome in a case, and lowers temps significantly. Huge. So massive that I had my friend aid me set up the dang issue. TEC is rather useless, as it will not turn on unless you're cooking your chip. And when it DOES turn on, it cools the heatsink as an alternative of the CPU. If you're considering this thing, you may possibly just want to get the V8 cooler. Less expensive, and almost as excellent as this thing in tests.

Greatest Air cooler on the industry, heat transfer plate, its coolermaster (quality).. Appears spectacular... quiet on max speed... cools ram also.. I have a coolermaster haf, i7 920, ocz 1600mhz memory.. have a rock solid overclock of 4.five ghz temps: idle ྐྵ-35) beneath load ࿍-55).. this thing rips could probly push it additional. Massive, (but its ur fault if u don't know what ur ordering).. sucks 200w energy.. tall memory can not fit ... but there is a decent gap amongst rad and dimms... kinda costly (but not compared to superior liquid cools) If u have a massive case and are severe about oc'ing.. but don't wanna mess with liquid, this is ur heatsink. I am a great deal more than happy with this cooler, (quality, packaging, overall performance) definately worth the value to me. note: its big but doesn't look to put to considerably tension on my mobo... but i don't program on moving my computer around a lot anyways...
