I use coolermaster cooling exclusively and this one didn't disappoint . I have on wife's tower and previously used it with athlon640 cpu and when I upgrade her cpu to the fx-6300 this cooler did the job and then some. no overheating and temps haven't hit anything near 50 unlike the stock heat sink

Fantastic fan replacing a stock Acer fan for my HTPC; runs @ 26ቸC @ 2400RPM -- ULTRA quiet Not Free of charge; had to pay to ship it; isn't created of gold Like absolutely everyone else has noted - this puppy is tall. My configuration of PS fan, CPU Fan & rear case fan all perform collectively - down / down / out (which may possibly add to the low temp I've got below load) The kit also comes with a bracket kit to add another fan (not incl) to add to the cooling goodness.

I can\'t speak for the Pentium installation but for an AMD installation it took me longer to, unplug all the wires and take away the side case door then to install the heat-sink. The 4yr old stock heat-sink and fan on my AM2 processor has been keeping the processor at about 44C ide since i constructed the computer system. With the coolermaster im idling at 18C and 40C at load. im just amazed! None so far

Good Price, Cools great when completed proper. I have gotten 35C idle 49C load Quite negative plate design and style, if you don't get the paste just appropriate, the cooler does not work very nicely. I have wasted a bit of paste to come across the best way to set up this. If you need a low end cooler that won't will need to be changed, this is the way to go, if you have the patience and the paste, otherwise i don't propose this item because of the plates poor design Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for the inconvenience. The cooler in query requires a tiny bit further paste to have the cooler's direct make contact with heat pipes make the ideal contact possible with the cpu. Fan is quiet and effeciently cools my overclocked 125w am2 phenom to 36C at idle.In no way had the cpu go more than 52C(limit is 62C). Played Metro 2033,crysis and lost planet 2 (which appears to be the most cpu intesive and haven't had any problems.Brackets for an extra 80mm fan are nice So I am going to order one particular to get a couple degrees off the top rated.Oh and the price tag is decent.Comes with Thermal paste. Mounting hardware for AMD cpu's is somewhat tough.Wish the heatsink plate that tends to make get in touch with with the processor was massive sufficient to entirely cover my cpu.

It keeps the core cool. 40C idle, 45C below load. Not the coolest, but I'm operating a truly badly-ventilated case, and there's a 8800 GTX inside burning stuff up as well. For the cost, it does a fantastic job. Attachment is solid on my motherboard. Can't even give it a bit of wiggle and almost took two hands to lock into location. No setup instructions, even though its not *too* hard to figure out, you will be a bit boggled at 1st It does what its supposed to at a decent price. this is a seriously nice unit: I got an OEM Phenom II X3 for 贄 and this for ภ. The price of the retail X3 with stock fan is about 贘 on the web and 贶 in stores. Wonderful deal.

I built a technique in a good Thermaltake case, utilizing the stock AMD heatsink. It was loud and rattly. I ordered this the next day since it was a single of the least expensive possibilities, and was low decibels. It is significantly quieter than the stock AMD heatsink.I ordered a second one for another Pc.It's cool and quiet. Probably not the coolest heatsink offered, but for the price tag it's fantastic - cools way greater than stock, and substantially quieter. It comes with thermal paste, which saves you from having to spend บ for a tiny tube of Arctic Silver The bracket isn't tough, but is annoying, and is easiest to install when the motherboard is removed from the case. Requires a couple minutes to get it on.On some motherboards, the fan can restrict access to the RAM slots. On an Asus M4A785TD-V Evo, it was fine (or at least, I don't remember getting any difficulties when creating it). On a Biostar A770E board, it blocked the RAM slot closest to the CPU. Was nevertheless capable to fit two sticks in, which was all I planned on working with. Technique 1:Phenom II X6 1055T (Hexa Core two.8GHz)Asus M4A785TD-V EvoTechnique 2:Athlon X2 7850 BE (Dual Core two.8GHz)Biostar A770EKeeps the CPUs at 30-35 degrees. Neither technique is overclocked. As others have stated, there are grooves around the heatpipes, and the base is a millimeter or so smaller than the CPU heatspreader, but neither has had an adverse impact on the Computer. If I was going to overclock to 4GHz or if I wanted it to be only a couple of degrees above ambient, I'd probably get one thing much better, but that's not what this is. It's affordable, and it is quiet, and it cools much greater than the stock heatsink. Just be cautious about the blocking RAM slots. This could be resolved by switching the fan to yet another side of the heatsink, and it's not an problem unless you have all of your RAM slots full.

-Comes with a fan mount for adding any 80mm fan. -With 2nd fan it keeps my cpu at 30*C idle and 40*C under load, all with a 10% overclock.-comes with thermal compound (not grease) none I used Arctic mx compound, not the integrated, but the incorporated looks nearly identical.

ok cooling more than normal amd coolers. comes with copper heat pipes and thermal paste. the alternative to add a 2nd fan is a plus too. Installation was a pain in the behind. Every Pc build I run into is the frustration of installing an air cooler. Why? IDKIt took about ten tries to get the sensitive bracket below the air cooler straighten in order to lock on to the CPU. Running an Amd phenom II X4 925 CPU @ two.8Ghz 95 watt

Very good style, strong construction, keeps temps a little under stock cooler which died. none really for the cost, I purchased it for ผ instead of ฟ Gave it 4 eggs since it is a good item but it won't really wow anyone. Also, it produced it a lot less difficult to install if i just removed my video card.I had it on a 5600+ till the psu blew and took the mobo with it...and maybe the cpu, ram, and video card.

Excellent price and very easy to set up on AMD's. Purchased and installed two of em. 1 on an AM2 platform and the other on an AM3. Both installs went smoothly. You can setup which way you want the airflow to go. In my case, its blowing up out of the prime case fan. I will possibly do a push-pull setup when I upgrade my technique.I installed this cooler when i moved my technique into a new case. The case and this cooler (also employed arctic silver 5 BTW) together brought my temps way down from 30C idle to about 20C and below idle. Its not as big as other individuals, and fits in mid tower good. although I do not currently have any side fans installed however.. None that I can consider of. Newegg lists this to be able to deal with up to 95wTDP CPU's. According to cooler master's internet site and the cooler box itself, its essentially 70wTDP. I assume its just a typo..

Greater than the stock cooler for my AMD Phenom II 550. None considering the price tag. I wouldn't overclock with it. As I mentioned, I do not assume this is an overclocking CPU cooler. It undoubtedly is great at replacing the stock cooler, and I have to add that I unlocked my dual core into a quad core, so that does add heat to my CPU. All round, it runs at extremely acceptable temperatures in quad core at stock speeds.

this is the second one of these I have bought, each and every time it has been really simple to install in onto my AM3 chip, it keeps the heat down fine for me with a PhenomII processor None about the solution....dont be a victim to neweggs shipping. If you order 10 items in a single order it will come in 5 various boxes spread out more than three diverse days! I want newegg would use USPS, they deal with packages considerably more better!

Good value, not also loud, decent cooling. This isn't the beefiest cooler around, but for the price it shouldn't have to be. Mounting can be a bit tricky in particular orientations, the heatsink seems designed to accept the mounting clip in two orientations, but a single appears to be the "preferred" orientation. If working with it in the other direction (so that the clip is parallel to the airflow) the fan can obstruct the locking lever slightly (if a fan is installed on that side). This isn't a huge deal, a steady and careful hand can have this cooler installed in about a minute. The only other caveat is that the base appears to be slightly narrower than the heat spreader on the processor, and receiving the heatpipes centered over the processor requires a minute, as they don't usually center automatically. I've at present installed the H101 on a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800 (Brisbane), 65W TDP, stock clock: two.five GHz overclocked to a modest two.75 GHz. With Prime95 operating, core temps are hovering between 160F - 170F, in a 90F room (in Arizona). I suspect that a second fan (for which the mounts are included) would be successful at additional lowering the temperatures, I could attempt it in the future for additional overclocking or a hotter processor. As for now, I am satisfied with my (small) investment.

I applied this cooler on an AMD Athlon II x 2 240 Dual Core and it idles at 30C and doesn't go more than C at complete load and it's OCed to 3.0GHz none great physical medium size, quiet fan (I can't hear it operating at all), and for the price tag why do you need a super duper cpu cooler when this a single will a lot more than do the job even when OCing the cpu (check see if your CPU is on the spec list of compatible processors prior to acquiring)

Comes with some thermal paste, can be mounted in two positions, fan is quiet, mounting hardware is easy adequate to use and it holds the cooler securely. Pictorial directions have been not tough to figure out. The mounting surface of heat block has a relatively rough finish, producing the excellent thermal paste significant. I didn't use the incorporated thermal paste considering that I had some Arctic Silver on hand. If the heat block would have had a smooth finish I would have provided this item five stars. It appears to perform quite well on a CPU with 65 W TDP. The fan has only a sleeve bearing so I don't count on it to final as extended as a ball bearing fan, but it is quieter. Due to the fact I am making use of this on a personal computer that is not running 24x7 I believe it will last a few years.

Exceptionally excellent cooling. It's enormous compared to my old OEM cooler but not massive. Defiitely a managable size, even with the second fan attached.
