Fairly cheap for an i7 cooling answer. Would function Incredibly Effectively on AMD processors. Fan Controller can be nice. Replacing the cooling fan is a uncomplicated chore (see cons). I'm operating an i7 950 processor beneath practically continual load, and the 70 cfm fan incorporated with the processor just doesn't get the job completed. Below load I was reaching temperatures of virtually 70C with the computer exhausting out a window (processor is rated to deal with up to 80C, I believe), and this is with the fan on max. I ended up replacing the original fan with a 120 cfm Scythe fan, and now my load temp is about 60-62C. This is not more than-clocked, so Surely do not use with an i7 if you strategy to do any OC'ing (unless you reside in a refrigerator). If they would have put a larger capacity fan in this point to begin with, I would have rated five stars. I know they have them because I personal six of their 120 mm 90cfm fans =).Anyway, I would certainly advise this product for AMD builds, and perhaps i5 and lower intel builds, but I wouldn't even touch it if you're running an i7 unless swapping out fans is on your "to do" list, nor for high-end sandy bridge.i7-950 LGA 1366 ʃ.07 GHZGigabyte GTX 480NZXT PhantomASUS Sabertooth x583x2GB Triple-channel RAM @ 1600 mhzWD Caviar Black 640gbKiller 2100 Gaming NICCooler Master V8 (modded w/ 120cfm Scythe)

Quite quiet cooler for it's size and style. The design and style itself is awesome. It's incredibly easy to setup for any level of tech. The slot spot holder for the potentiometer adds the final touch to the overall style. Incredibly huge. I wish they presented a blue LED model as properly. Due to it's size, it uses the space needed for the window case fan that you can add with the Antec 1200. I'll under no circumstances match a fan on that side panel unless they ever make fans that are 1cm thick.

Keeps em cool. Idle is about 36c and complete load is around 46c. not positive if its a con or not, but this is Enormous. I read other reviews and saw that they recomend that you make confident you have room in your case, that is no joke. I have a haf 932 and there is about .5in clearance in between side and the top rated of the V8 cooler. i thought it would drop my temps a bit additional than it does. but it does preserve them superior than the last cooler i had

Does the job. Fan speed controller. Comes with all the parts necessary for installation. A little hint of red LED. Appears great when installed. It is Enormous! Not a issue for me even though. While for other people you may well need to have to get a bigger case, if you dont currently have a full size one. Requires typically 2 men and women, like most spring heatsinks do. I was capable to do it by myself, took me awhile even though.

About as fancy as a hammer, but just as powerfulThe installation nightmares persons are having with this are significantly exagerated. Large and heavyFins are unfinished and show considerable machining marks. Not quite quite at all. Can't tell which way the fan points till you plug it in. (Is it THAT really hard to paint an arrow?) (Shouldn't be a issue for individuals who can study items on the internet. Hint: Mount it so you can read it)The size of the sink signifies you actually can't move the tower about too much. CM redesigned the bracket technique for the cooler, and it now delivers a spring loaded screw design and style, which is a lot a lot more user friendly. Regrettably this means that all that investigation you did, to make certain you are installing it appropriately, is worthless. 񡿖 bracket)

Good fan! Runs quiet at lower RPMs . Keeps my I7-920 nice and cool even when OC. Its got a excellent appear! Fits fantastic with a small space to spare in my Cooler Master Storm Scout ATX mid tower case. Can be loud at higher RPMs. Massive! Tends to make it look like your operating a tiny engine in your laptop.

sturdy built, runs quiet, super cool, no sharp edges and extremely effortless to set up.Prior to this item was arrived, I was really a bit be concerned about the weight could be a dilemma. After I'd mounted it on the motherboard weight evenly distribute across four corners and not noticing any anxiety around the motherboard at all.I was also running a stress test for an hour, processor stays at one hundred% all the time for the duration of the test, and temperature under no circumstances go beyond 41c.AMD 1075tDDR3 1600 8GBWindows 7 64 bit.5670 DDR5 1GBfan adjustable speed 1500-2100 rpm.idle temperature 32c Rifle bearing is nice with 69.69CFM, and practically as long lasting as ball bearing fan.Even far better, going to replace the 120x120x25mm fan toNanoflux Bearing fan as quickly as newegg box arrive to my front door in a couple of days.

Wonderful at Cooling. Was capable to Overclock my Phenom II X6 from the stock two.8 ghz to 3.5 no challenge, could probably go to four if I wanted to push it. Thing is silent, my GPU is louder than it It is Enormous, I have a Complete ATX Case though, but I assume you have to have 1 to fit it

Cools well and appears cool at the same time. The throngs of individuals who view my Computer's guts are thrilled, some even gasp for air, as they view my Coolermaster V8. It's extremely massive and has a ton of heat radiating surface and a quiet adjustable fan. You will have to remove the motherboard to install so only very good for a new create. My case has an open backed design and style and you would nonetheless have to eliminate the motherboard. Its really big and barely fits in a mid-tower case. Involves enough thermal compound to set up three occasions over.

This cooler is awesome. my cpu was operating around 40-52c with my stock cooler (phenom II 970 black edition) After i installed my v8 my temps dropped to 28c under minor loads like installing and download numerous software and games and 32-38c under a load such as playing rift fully cranked. A ang for the buck for positive! big cooler make positive your ram will clear and your case is substantial sufficient significantly bigger than picture shows practically nothing to drop any eggs worth the cash 1 of the superior coolers for sure have my 3.five quad core running at 4200 cool and steady

This fan outputs extremely nicely. MY temp stays around 30 C Idle @ four.three Ghz and around 65 C at max CPU. This issue def needs far more from the PSU but with a 750W+ you should be fine. Make confident you place it in the appropriate way so the air flow is blowing straight out. Its enormous so I was unable to install my 120mm fan on the side. Also I had to perform my way around this whilst I was trying to energy everything up. Fantastic for men and women with modest hands but it was really difficult to do. Program on having to take the side fan out or having a complete tower.

After the horrible notion of getting a Corsair Hydro series as a basic cooling program to my beefed up HTPC, I ended up replacing it (and a motherboard after leaking) with the Cooler Master V8...and I must say I am additional than impressed. The size is really large (but there are some larger like Noctua) but its dimensions are not horribly obtrusive. If you have ram like the OCZ Reapers, it could interfere a bit, but my G. Ability Ripjaws are unaffected...Subsequent up, temps...I went from 45c (idle) and 55c (load) to 37c (idle) and 46c (load), which is a pretty very good improvement for my slightly pushed Phenom II X4 965. It runs fairly quiet, not that I care about sound considering that I'm typically wearing a headset...but its not something one hundred% silent either. The colour is awesome, as nicely, and it will normally turn heads if you have a window installed. Lastly, I will say its, by far, the easiest heatsink I've installed ever...the bracket was way too uncomplicated for the size... The PCI bracket comes with a knob which is a tiny loose. You will will need a small wrench to tighten it certainly...no huge deal. I went with this more than the V10, because I had heard the V10 was no massive advancement over this and aesthetically this is significantly nicer to appear at. General, I very propose this heatsink, and the price tag is significantly less complicated to sink your teeth in than the stupidly overpriced Corsair Hydro Series waterblocks...ugh...ought to have gotten this 1st.

Lots of methods to get heat off of the processor. Speed controls are type of nice to have. Considerably superior and quieter then a stock fan that comes with Intel's. Differ big make positive it will match in your case, also it may possibly block other fans in your case so retain that all in mind. Speed controls have no way of figuring out if you are turning up the fan or not. Adding massive fans like this make your method quiet and run the CPU cooler and they don't cost that a lot.

This is one incredible heat sink. I not too long ago bought the AMD Penom II x4 955 3200, with the foxconn A9D-S. I have utilized the over clocking utility in the Bios to 3700 Mhz. I has been stabe for over a month and 38C I have over colocked it as high as 4000Mhz the temp only got to 53C with 3 benchmarks running simotaiously. I entirely suggest this to anyone wanting to overclock there program. There is no indicator to show which way the airflow goes.Installation is a bit tricky I advocate getting an added set of hands to set up it.Check at youtube for instalation and fan output direction. It is big. I bought a diablotek Mid-size case and power provide. The best of the heat sink touches the wall of the case. I appreciate this heat sink. Glad I purchased it.

Incredible temps 25C Idle and 47C load on my AMD 6000+ and that's if my area is warm. Fan is quiet and even on low still cools really effectively. The screws that came with mine stripped really straightforward, I just replaced them with some greater ones from the hardware store, but cautious when tightening them down or you may possibly have to do the very same thing. The heat sinks base is incredibly sensitive, dust, finger prints, tiny scratch or chip in the base can hamper this cooler functionality. Take it slow, don't rush it and this factor will do wonders Fantastic cooler, excellent value, great purpose to have a buddy come over and enable. Hold THE BOX, if you ever want to send it to cooler master, YOU Will need THE BOX

Does what its supposed to. CPU wont break 40c underload. (phenom II x4 three.5ghz) The top LED light went out and reading reviews this means one particular of the fans died? ... not noticing any problems with temps or the fan speed when running games although. Its seriously large, genuinely good. Fits in my Antec 902v3 case :-) (it could most likely match with a side fan but i havent tried it. Would have to cut a lip off the fan housing thats on the case i assume or just snap it off )

- Keeps it cool, not as cool as water cooling, but incredibly close (Idle 28C, Full load 57C)- You dont need water cooling - Looks sexy, as if you had a auto's radiator in your case- (Personal Pref) Really like the LED's. Appears evil when its turned on. - Not really a con for me, but buyer beware, the persons do not lie. You need a major case for this or it will -not- fit. I got about a inch of space in my HAF X. But keep in mind, due to its size, it handles heat displacement properly. That aside, nothing at all else to complain about. (Well, I wasn't genuinely complaining) Haven't tested it yet, but I bet I could use this as a spare radiator in my truck...
